Let's assume for the sake of argument that Ron Paul wins every caucus and every primary in the 2012 race. Will the republican party still be ranting at the convention that none of the 50 states represent the republican party? My point is that Paul is gaining momentum. If he wins and keeps winning, at some point they are going to start looking pretty stupid if they don't admit they are wrong and that the others do not represent the party. Where's that point?
Here's a REALITY KICKER Ron Paul does not even need the GOP to win the general election. If he were to walk away for a third party, he would take at least 12% of the Republican vote with him. He would also take another 15% from the Independents and at least 11% from the Democrats.This would give him 38% enough of the vote to win the Presidency in a three man race

Ron Paul wins Iowa, he then takes the lead in polls on New Hampshire and wins it there too...then he sweeps South Carolina, and possibly takes Florida as he gains momentum in the polls, in each State, and nationally. He has doubled in the national polls in just the last few weeks, and we haven't even voted in Iowa yet. They know if he wins Iowa the wheels could come off their big government gravy train!

Let's assume for the sake of argument that Ron Paul wins every caucus and every primary in the 2012 race. Will the republican party still be ranting at the convention that none of the 50 states represent the republican party? My point is that Paul is gaining momentum. If he wins and keeps winning, at some point they are going to start looking pretty stupid if they don't admit they are wrong and that the others do not represent the party. Where's that point?

Here's a REALITY KICKER Ron Paul does not even need the GOP to win the general election. If he were to walk away for a third party, he would take at least 12% of the Republican vote with him. He would also take another 15% from the Independents and at least 11% from the Democrats.This would give him 38% enough of the vote to win the Presidency in a three man race

Im sorry, if a guy running wins the race... isnt that the DAMN point? why would it be discredited? how about a RINO like Romney? if he wins wouldnt it too be discredited? how about gingrich (who has about the same agenda as obama, look at his record) wouldnt THAT discredit the race?
I say lets elect a pure constitutionalist that truly loves his country, Ron Paul, and scare the HELL out of BOTH parties... Let em know the people have HAD IT.

@mfunkbrown The truth is that the Iowa caucuses come pre discredited. That we act like it is a big deal to begin with is the BS. There are barely any electoral votes there. It's a tiny state and less than 10% of the people there participate. Good luck to Ron Paul but the Iowa caucuses aren't really that significant.
I don't consider some one who doesn't think women have the right to control their own bodies to be a pure constitutionalist either.

Actually he would be acting well within the Constitution by preventing Federally Funded Birth control and removing the Fed from the Abortion issue thus leaving it up to the States and the people as is proper.
Both of which do nothing to prevent women doing what they want with their bodies.

@ThndersRage Constitutionally the states have no right to interfere with basic liberties. Supporting states rights to tell women they can't have abortions is like supporting states rights to install tracking chips in our bodies, or outlawing McDonald's because it is bad for you. It's unconstitutional.
You can't remove the federal government from the issue because it is the duty of the federal government to protect the right of a woman to get an abortion.

What I disagree with is the Fed arbitrarily decreeing one way or the other, which is apparently what you want. If they have the power to grant, then they have the power to take away from one admin to the next.
In my opinion it is better the 50 individual States decide, at least this way people have the ability to move if they disapprove..

Whats ridiculous is wanting the Fed to rule on what you can and cannot do with your body, especially when it is a hot topic that concerns where life begins. You see I understand both sides of the the issue and I don't want the Fed involved here, period.
I may support a Women's right to abortion but this is an issue the Fed needs to stay away from.
Don't even try to spin this to racial rights, racial rights are not even close to the Abortion topic...

You say women have a fundamental right to abortion but you don't want the federal government protecting it. What is the point to a bill of rights, or self evident rights in the constitution if it isn't empowered to protect them?
Close? No. They are identical. They are both cases where the state governments attempted to trample constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Actually SCOTUS makes those rulings when States cross the line, never have I said SCOTUS should remain silent. So my understanding is just fine.
What you are asking is the Fed Gov to write new law. Big difference and you fail to understand the implications of that which you ask.
Your cases are not the same. You want the Fed to write Law in our favor concerning the point which life begins when the Science cant back it. Then we get to see the the next Admin take advantage.

This has nothing to do with "when life begins." That is a stupid phrase with no meaning. Science is very clear that life does not begin to our knowledge and that it is a continuous process.

Exactly, the Judicial branch and they don't write law and they have already ruled on Roe Vs Wade so we don't need the Fed, eg the President and the Congress, to write and sign something new into law. You see this is where YOUR Genius fails. You think the Fed can and should, write more law on that which you can do with your body. You fail to comprehend that the next Admin CAN and will likely take advantage... The Fed needs no more power and especially none over our body.

The only one that can is the Judicial branch and it does not write law, which is needed here as it has already made a ruling on the issue. To add anything to this issue requires new written Law and a determination on the point which life begins. The fact that you don't "get" the details of that which you ask, makes you the stupid one.

I would like to add. The Parties and the alphabet soup that makes up the mainstream media ABC, CBS, NBC MSNBC, CNN, WP, LAT, FOX etc, have lost control of the narrative. Thank goodness we no longer have to depend on flawed information, anymore and do our own quick google/yahoo search on all the candidates, and issues and see if their actions match their words.
