U paid $18 dollars for mine brand new beauty sothin .com I forgot the name lol it was totally worth it but the eye shadows are dime sized which is disappointing they look alot bigger on camera.,:/

I have had the problems with the pots falling out. I never had mine fly open or not close. Personally with the pallets I take out the eyeshadow sponges. I love highlights as well, so I got the nude pallet and I love it. Lots of light colors.

yeah i paid 20 dollars for mine and they havent fallen out ever. i dont have problems with that but i did like your review!

Great review but theyre like 20$ a palette >.> lol and ive had mine for over a year and it has not broken and nothing has fallen out because i try my best to take good care of it.. so for those of you who want to use this just at home and not on the go then i definitely recommend this :)

i have that thing with both my palettes(shimmer and warm) with the pans falling out i put them in there thingy again with superglue :D

Haven't had many shadows fall out of the 2 palettes I have... maybe 3 or something (have had them for about a year).When I wanted to depot one palette, it was a pain in the a**, because the glue was SO strong - DO NOT RECOMMEND TRYING THIS. I don't really get eyeshadow all over - I guess, that it's because I don't swirl the brush around in the pans, making the shadows loosen up. Haven't had them opening either - I actually like the closing mechanism. My only complain: some are a bit chalky.

i have the shimmer one, the same thing happen to me with the shadows coming out, applicator wont stick, and the hinge actually broke and the lid wont attach anymore

If you don't like the little sponge applicators, just take them out. Coastal Scents puts them in because some people actually use them...

All of the colors work better with primer... Your palette looks better than mine and I think ihave had mine for the same amount of time! ... omg $30 at bh cosmetics it is like $13!

I was hoping you would mention the fact that these palettes are generic, made in China and Coastal Scents and other brands(BH Cosmetics, Sedona Lace etc.) just put their logo on them.. which is not necessarily bad, but you can find the exact same thing on ebay for 5-9 dollars + free shipping..

the packaging sucks because they put all their money into the actual product the packaging is just a holder not meant to travel... just so ya know... that why the eyeshadows are so blendable and pigmented....

I love coastal scents' palettes, however there is one thing that I really don't like: I absolutely hate how the pans fall out so easily!!! I have about 6 eye shadow pans that have fallen out just from one palette and it's really annoying!! :( I wish they did a better job at keeping them in the palette. Other than that, I do really like there products. I have 5 palettes and I love the colours and quality for the price, I just don't like the fact that they fall out easily.

To prevent the shadows from smearing inside the palette and outside, you should have kept the clear film that came with the palette. :/

I use this palette everyday. The hinge on my palette broke sadly. Oh and not all of the colors in the "matte" palette are matte, a few of them are shimmer. oh well, still a great buy.

Omg! I forgot to say not all the colors in this palette are matte! *runs to get mine* D: Im totally not sure if this is just mine or all these 88matte palettes BUUT my silvers(metallics), the 2 darker blues, the dark mustard-y yellow/orangy color below that are satin! the burgandy is metallic and some of the browns are metallic :( Im hopeing this is just in my palette it soo makes me sad XD I was hopeing they were all going to be matte.

@LishaMakeup My palette is like that too, it doesn't bother me at all that some colors aren't matte.

They do explain on their website, in the product description, that some shadows have a satiny finish :)
