Giorgio Moroder and Jeff Lynne.........If ever you were to put a musical Midas and an instrumental alchemist together, these two gentlemen are musical Eldorado!!!!!!!!
I was 8 when I first saw this movie, and I am still a child of the 80's....thanks for hosting this great bit of nostalgia! They really need to bring this one back out on DVD.
On video, o-oh! Play it one more time On video, o-oh! Get the world on video Oh look at me now Iâ??m burning up the steel in the wires (Video) Oh look at me now I´m burning up the steel in the wires (Video) Oh look at me now¦
Hey, do you know what he says at 3:21? It sounds like "I'm not...." and I can't make out the last little bit. Almost sounds like a sample from "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles though I know it's not.
It's pretty hard notice the simularity since Beatles Forever is played in a slower tempo than Video.
The lyrics in Beatles Forever say "Beatles forever (Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band), Beatles forever (All you need is love), Beatles forever (I want to hold your hand), Beatles forever (Hey Jude and revolution number 9)" which later changed into "Video, woaow, play it one more time on video, woaow, got the world on my TV".
Amazing song from the master of rock! Could someone please put Jeff Lynne's debut solo single, 'Doing That Crazy Thing', on Youtube please? I've never heard 'Doing That Crazy Thing' before (I've heard its b-side though)

Ah, I see. You're correct. I had always wondered since I first heard this song way back when. So thanks for clearing it up! What a great song.

That's Bud Cort of "Harold & Maude" fame in the non-movie bits. He played the voice of Edgar (the computer) in the film.

"The chorus of Video is originally taken from the unreleased Electric Light Orchestra song "Beatles Forever""
Huh? I listen to both songs and I don't hear it. Are the lyrics different?
