The student was asking how to create their own directory on the school's database from a remote location. First years, who've never touched Linux or a Unix based system might not know how to do that.

@Staminix This is a voluntary class for people with questions and if you look for more then 10 minutes you notice it covers a lot more complicated matters aswell.
