O que mais me impressiona neste vídeo é o ritmo do Ringo. A pausa em 1:21 é um negócio inexplicável. What I think so amazing in this video is the precision of Ringo's rithym ! The silence in 1:21 is answerless !
Billy Preston and hundreds of other soul singer players were awesone. They had guys like Preston in retainer? Totally unfair. How could ya not be a good band without him
The thing about Billy being the 5th beatle, not to offend, but as much as I love the Beatles (they don't look so great here, there must have been a great shampoo famine) Billy was musically more talented than any of the Beatles. He is actually a prodigy and should have a name of his own, not just an association with the Beatles. He's played with all the biggies anyway, Stones, Clapton, yada, yada....
But he did not get nearly enough credit for being a talent natural in the likes of hendrix etc.
@64delftlover Billy was more talented than any of the Beatles? You sir, are a complete fucking idiot. NOBODY. NOBODY. BEATS THE BEATLES. Do you know any other bands in history that released 13 number 1 albums in 7 years? Now, individually. Paul is one of the greatest bassists in history due to the constant strumming that was needed in his songs, Ringo's drumming is immensely underrated, as quoted by Phil Collins, his fill-ins were ridiculous. George's solos were never upsetting, have you ever
@64delftlover even heard Here Comes the Sun? It's a very tiring song to do on guitar. His influence from Indian culture made him a master in introducing the sitar to basically the world, especially like Norwegian Wood. John? His voice. Fucking epic and can never be replicated (try to scream like he did in Don't Let Me Down). Great rhythm guitarist, too. The only reason BIlly Preston was hired by George is to somewhat ease the internal tensions in the band BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GODDAMN GOOD.
@64delftlover Yes. Billy Preston was an excellent pianist. He made a great contribution in Don't Let Me Down and Get Back. But did all of his albums hit number one? Was he bigger than Jesus? Was he any different from the other mass amounts of black pianists? No, not really. But is his talent better than any of the Beatles? Absolutely. Fucking. Not.
Seeing them like this i just imagine how would they be for some 2 more albums...a beatles until 1972,73..."it would have been great",oh,what a surprise
I'd say Billy was the "sixth Beatle", especially when he started playing with them in the last years of the bands career. George Martin would have to be the "fifth Beatle".
@Whostock billy was more talented than any other beatle that came along and helped them when they had arguements and stuff. He Kept the group together. Billy will always be the fifth beetle. Sorry
don't worry I know billy was important to the band and I think also he is the real fifth beatle, I just wanted to let know there was still Stucliff who was pretty important to them (especially John)
Let's hear a round of boos for the copyright cops who took Billy's fantastic video of him singing this song, from the movie, "Sgt. Pepper's...," off of YouTube. It was one of my "Favorites."
Two things strike me. Ringo sure looked like a burn out.. And what was Yoko doing in the studio while they were recording. No room in the control room ?
just saw the movie sargent pepper's lonely hearts club band and i hated how they killed so many good songs but the best was the ending with billy preston an actual real life person that lived atleast a few years of his life with the beatles and knew what the beatles were all about
The sole edit on the single that was made was just after the end of your clip where Macca sings 'Ohhhh' right after that is the edit into another take of the song, you can hear the chat in the background cease with the edit, then hear the drums come in for the reprise section at the end of the song. Amazing what you can do with a razor blade and some sticky tape.
certain songs make me emotional and just watching paul mccartney, ringo starr, george harrison john lennon and billy preston after everything they stand for and have done just playin a classic is somethin. this is just outstanding the amount of talent in that room. you could take them individually see that separatly they have each influenced the music world and changed lives including mine. this video just shows them doing what they do best and wen they smile its unreal
I don't think it's a "fake" because I don't think anyone was trying to pass it off as one "live" take. With all the people coming and going, and listening to playbacks, etc., it's clearly a compilation showing different takes, etc. Also, the track used in this video is NOT the Rooftop recording (listen to YqiAl84ipIk).
My only criticism of this terrific video is that I believe the footage is from Apple Studio--despite the fact that Abbey Road is listed as the recording venue.
