  • Like, if scrubs bring you here. THis song is awsoome. love it !!

  • I can't believe they would dare advertise Justin Beiber here.

  • Excellent song !

  • He is still as awesome as ever!

  • Brian Wilson's presence is the only element that redeems this. Diamond doesn't really have any melodic touch here.

  • the intro is pretty much lyla in a higher key

  • Just so much talent on one recording. WOW! Two of the best songwriters ever born.

  • Living legends, great duo

  • BRIIIIAAAAAAAN

  • This isn't just Neil Diamond. Without Brian Wilson it just wouldn't be the same. It's a group effort.

  • The 3 people who dislike this song are obviously deaf!!

  • @faultytwin or delirious. see what I did?... nah but seriously those people suck.

  • Ha. On the description it says 'Brian Nelson'. Don't be silly. Such an insult to the legend.

  • 3 dislikes too many in my book...

  • Good one.. missing the "Heyyy LYLA!" part though

  • This is easily the best pop single of that year. Instant bloody classic huh? I can listen to this over and over for hours. What a genius.

  • NO ONE can sing and arrange background vocals like Brian Wilson.

  • Brian Wilson is still such a terrific singer. yeah...

  • This is just awesome !! Anyone with a good ear for high-quality music & an unbiased, impartial appreciation for same is gonna pick up on this one. Here, you get the best of both worlds .. not only the legendary Neil Diamond, one of rock-music's best ever singer / songwriters; but you also get that unmistakeable magical BRIAN WILSON touch to the arrangement & production. SWEET !! Lap it up, folks .. it don't get much better than this !!

  • @colindominy Whilst I daresay Brian Wilson had some input, the production was all Rick Rubin. Check out the stripped down American recordings by Johnny Cash, or evan some of his earlier stuff with the Beastie Boys and others

  • Scrubs *.*

  • Good song! Nice surprise!

  • I don't know many songs made by him,but this one is really wonderful (even thanks to Brian Wilson and his chorus)

  • Neil Diamond has finally silenced all the too cool for school critics who underestimated his talent.

  • well said! Im proud to be not too cool. Neil Diamond is a gem. First heard him when I was 2.-everybugger sang "sweet caroline" to me-----I loved it!

  • love it, it's where i got my username =)

  • ya dont say xD

  • Look on the bright side mate, better you met her (if brief) than not at all, eh?

  • aye i suppose your right!

  • Ireland rocks! :D

wish is i could say the same for your grammar though

  • yes i can fell it, awesome song!!!

  • i also heard on scrubs haha, love scrubs! zoom zoom zoom! great song this too.

  • i think i found out about this song from the show scrubs :o.....and its kick ass!

  • This song deserves to be number one in every chart in the world. it is far better than anything that is topping the charts week in and week out. Nobody can touch the legends

  • this is a belter when sitting in the sun, chilling, nice one Neilio!

  • neil's made so many great songs but this has to be my favorite

  • Someone, quite rightly pointed out, Oasis have copied this 'big-time' nevermind i like both....go Neil and Noel!!!!

  • Amazing song, and I learned it because of scrubs, just like book of love by peter gabriel!

I love scrubs and i love this song!

  • this song is awesome!

    its also in scrubs :)

  • This was really great. -Ron

  • Yes, this is really great Ron. I love this very much :-)

    Anette

  • I agree with you both, Ron and Anette. This is really great and I love this very much.- Shawn

  • Yes Ron, Anette and Shawn I too agree with all three of you.

    Carl

  • Absolutely, Ron, Annete, Shawn, and Carl. All four of you are right on the money. -Arthur

  • This is serious classic Diamond supported by the "BEACH BOYS" what a track that evokes memories from 62 to 82..........Brian Wilson and ND.............Genius....we are not worthy just listen to 2:16 to understand:)

  • LOVE this, really uplifting.

  • thanks again to scrubs for letting me hear such amazing songs that i wouldnt think of listening too, prefer the version without brian tho

  • Haha, couldn't gree more.

Both versions are great, but I like the one actually on scrubs more. :]

  • true!But I am A Brian fan!

  • Where did the photo for this come from? luv it.

  • IM NOT A NEIL DIAMOND FAN however i have to admit this is quite good!!!Its odvious Brian had a BIG hand in this!

  • um the original didn't have brian, so no. it's obvious you don't know neil diamond

  • f-ing awesome

  • haha good stuff. the start riff is similar to lyla by oasis. love hearing brian too.

  • than God(Neil Diamond:P) for this song

  • SCRUBS!!!!! fuck ya but this also reminds me of a jimson weed trip :}

  • Thank U

  • yes season 5 episode 24 its a great programme that only has great music in it and this is yet another example.

  • GREAT SONG

  • This song was on Scrubs...

  • yeah season 5 episode 24 i think

  • shit x(

it was supposed to be -thumbs up-

    sorry dude

  • I like the version they did on Leno that has a few guys from Brian's band singing on it, too.

  • that brian sure can sing

  • if i were neil diamond i'd have to punch myself in the face for being more awesome than batman

and thats more awesome than anyone one real person is allowed to be

he's too awesome, maybe he should tone it down a notch so other people have a chance

  • Brilliantly funny.

    Brilliantly true.

  • I retract all statements made re the lovester -- cuz he made a lot of good music with them and he had his reasons for what he did -- hey I never walked in his desert boots/shoes.

  • Yes, Brian wrote songs for the My Carl, Denny -- friend Al and idiot "lovester" always forget Johnston -- hee hee great songs they sang!!!!!!!!!! Check out Pet Sounds -- the Beatles copied him!!!!!!

  • I take umbrage at Mike Love being called an "idiot". Yes Brian had the musical talent, Dennis the looks and the others contributed well, but the Lovester held the band together through some pretty horrible times. If it wasn't for him Brian would still be mad as a fish, if not dead, and the Beach Boys would be churning out crap like "Smile"- the most over-rated drug-induced crap EVER!!!

    Long live Mike Love!!!!!!

  • to be fair, although Mike Love may have held the touring band together,it was him and his lack of support and quite often outright disdain for Brians new music that drove him to paranoia and drugs . . . so yes ML is a waster IMHO

  • what year did this come out? post to ncarolinaluv -- love the beach boys Brian touch to it!

  • Nov.2005 (Delirious Love was a single in Jan. 2006)

  • boogie -- they still do singles?????? love this song -- cool w/brian and some of the bb's sound to it. Neil is so good -- loved him on Johnny Cash show singing Brother Love's... post response to ncarolinaluv

  • Not a single that we can buy in stores. But a charting single released to radio.

I saw the clip of Neil on the Johnny Cash show and I agree that it is great.

  • hey boogie -- Neil is an excellent song writer -- probably the most covered!!!!!!

  • were the beach boys backing up on this? post to ncarolinaluv if you know.

  • I'm assuming the Brian Wilson is one of the Wilson brothers yea.

  • brian carl and dennis were the brothers in the beach boys

  • Neil Diamond and Brian Wilson performing on the same song is brilliant. I'd be hard pressed to find a better combination of singers and a song. 5 Stars

  • Heard it on Scrubs... awe-some.

  • haha, same. final epiode of season 5

  • me too. and i love it :)

  • most of my favorite songs i get off Scrubs
