NeatO! I've not seen this technique used before- I did see something on tv 1 time where a guy was good at walking backwards and doing stuff backwards, and they reverse the film and it looked like all the cars are going backwards and everybody in the world was going backwards except for the guy

When I first watched your stand-alone version, I thought that it was perhaps not really backwards but done with reverse echo and some kind of envelope filtering, mainly because your pronunciation was so good. You sure are talented. Funny thing is, you manage to make the backwards melody sound beautiful, too.

I found it interesting that the section where you were "singing backwards" is a separate clip to the others. Easy enough to sing the song forwards and reverse that part of the clip. If you could do it all in a single take I will believe you.

Point of Interest: On the German TV show "Wetten Dass" a woman appeared who could write dictations simultaneously with left hand(mirror inverse writing) and right hand(Normal writing). Quite Fascinating and certainly entertaining.

...just had another idea strike me. It has something to do with Stop Motion Animation, You, and a new way to think of lyrics...

Take a few songs that you enjoy a great deal. Play them backwards. Listen to the lyrics to find your own new lyrics. Make these lyrics into something with logic as in a possible continuation to the original song and then if you want to - even borrow the music that you hear in reverse to come up with your own tune of something strangely similar yet your own.

brilliant. i used to mess around with reverse phonetics (just with the standard Windows Sound Recorder. it really makes you appreciate the complexity of phonology. most people just think in terms of consonants and vowels... unaware of diphthongs, phonemes, etc.
