Some albums you buy are good for a while then you just get bored of them. Then there are albums like this which seem to have that something extra but you don't know what that something is. I can listen to this over and over. Seems to happen less and less with todays music. It's all fashion and flavour of the week bands and the skinny jeans brigade and ugh... NME magazine...Fuck you all. This music is timeless and not for your fickle minds.
the chick with dreads was rockin. back then i was living in harlem in nyc. i remember coming home from a college class and she got off the same stop i did. i remember asking her was she the girl in rem's video and she said yes. she was really nice.
i love REM. i remeber how innocent michael stipe was back in 1982 when he played shiney happy people on top of the pops. he would have let jimmy mallett say anything they wanted to him to just so he stayed a little longer in the charts. a small boy with a big heart..., bloody miserable adulthood is though. and this song really does remind me of how much innocence i have lost!
@nicholsjoshua15 insanely good music comes out everyday. just because mainstream music is nearly ruined doesnt mean good music is gone. you just have to look in different places
@ryannelsonAA Yeah please do me a favor try Poets Of The Fall. Poets Of The Fall: Late Good Bye, Carnival Of Rust, Lift, Locking Up The Sun, Diamonds For Tears, War, The Ultimate Fling, Fire, You Know My Name, Illusions And Dreams, and Stay. Poets Of The Fall, are the only one that I have found that can stand up with the classics like R.E.M and The Smashing Pumpkins.

I Love this song and video.
I'm gonna speak out of term here:
I love the fact that people of colour in this video are not shown as the typical stereotype, you usually see in popular music videos.
When you show people of colour how they naturaly are;you show Natural Humanity in Music Videos.
