  • @Truckfan2596 He did that so he could get more hits.

  • @CynicalSino oohhh....... now i know it :D

  • SO MANY AMAZING EXPLOSIONS

  • If you don't shoot the switches and just kill enemies to get points when you're fighting him won't that just be ab endurance run?

  • dude,,, your a legend at this game... i don't have the patients to do what you do.. i mean... dude over 2000 points total in some of your vids?that's friggin rediculous.... i guess i'm just unstopable in multiplayer...

  • I use all my bombs to take out the train from the places at 1:00 (I save the Gun car and the other car for that part) to 2:46 (Long-range bomb the tanker)

  • Thanks to i know how to get to erea 6!

  • All those characters... what animals are they?! I cant figure out the engineer guy, and Andrew is looking like an owl.

  • Fox = Fox Falco = Falcon Slippy = Frog Peppy = Hare ROB = Robot Wolf = Wolf Leon = Chameleon Pigma = Pig Andrew = Ape Bill = Dog Katt = Cat Multiple bosses = Ape Area 6 Caiman = Lizard Area 6 Red = Dog Corneria Boss #2 = Lizard Andross = Ape
  • "Red" is a lizard.

  • I think Andross is an orangataun acutally

  • Why do you think Falco says, "Time to show those monkeys who's boss!"?

  • As for "engineer guy", that is an ape, through and through.

  • the engineer guy reminds me of bill cosby.

  • Damn, I didn't know there was an alternate way to kill the boss.

Now I feel sorry for the engineer dude, what a terrible way to die. >_>

  • If Strfox was an Anime, the Person inside the train would just jump out before the Train goes boom!

  • lol like what Captain Falcon did? lol

  • I found a (sorta) secret teammate moment on this level yesterday, if you get onto the train tracks at about where 2:06 is, Slippy flies past with 2 enemies on his tail. The only downside is you miss pretty much everything on the ground

  • As if I were playing, even though I'm not:

HOW am I lucky, if you use your weapon on me?

  • Well..

1: Its a secret, fancy weapon, so you get a good show before you die

2: "Die at me, it'll be quicker and less painfull that our Lord Andross"

  • I've never figured out what kind of animal the engineer was.

  • If I had to guess, a monkey. Just a really ugly monkey.

  • lmao i just realized peppy says "I think we hurt 'em this time."

    YOU FREAKIN KILLED HIM PEPPY

its alot more than just hurt

  • ya know, editing out some of the time it took to die would have been fine wrather than burning holes in my eyes

  • you damn nerd... I had a HELL of a time getting 150 here

  • Yep

  • Yeah, the boss fight has more normal enemies flying around in groups. The HIT+ bonuses eventually overtake the HIT+50 in terms of points if you play it to the very end of the train track

  • Is it just me, or does the engineer kinda sound like Foghorn Leghorn?

  • That was very impressive...

  • Eh... I hate this level; it's one of my worst (next to Katina)

  • Which is odd for me, because I rock at Katina and this level, but I suck at Zoness. I never got to XZoness myself, I took one of my older brother's lives.

  • good shooting, why bother blowing up the boss though? it didnt give you any extra points

  • You retarded? it gets you a Hit + 50...beating the boss regularly gives you a hit + 10 or lower depending on how fast you beat him

  • thats not what i meant, when u throw the switch and get +50, it doesnt give you any extra points to blow up the parts of the boss, so if i blow up most of the boss, but i throw the switch and get +50, i didnt get any more points than if i had just ignored the boss and thrown the switches, see?

  • Oooh, my bad dude

  • MAN ! you are insane Oo

  • All your allies need to be alive in order to get credit if you meet the level medal reward.

  • Boy, this kinda brings back memories doesn't it?

  • Every single time you push the last switch, the boss says "step on the ga-" and gets interrupted.

  • What posesssed Fox to take the tank? Wouldn't his job have been much easier if he went through it with an air strike?

  • Yep. I wish that Expert mode would let you *pick* the vehicle you want for levels like this (would've been much cooler, and interesting for high scoring)

  • from 3:50 doh doh doh doh doh doh doh

  • Very impressive. I love the ending to this level, too. Makes me wanna say some cheesy action movie hero line like "sorry buddy, you're getting off here."

  • Well, I'm up to 210 on this path. I don't usually go the other way to Bolse. I'll try not shooting the switches and going the long way soon enough.

  • Charged Unlocked Shot (while holding Z and R, your charge shots will not lock on to anyone).

This lets me shoot them faster than usual.

  • I also noticed that you can unlock your charges? How? When I do it, I start hovering (I press Z+R)

  • You cannot unlock your charges in a Landmaster. You just have to release the shot before it can lock on to anything.

  • I got a 197 on this, CUS MULTIPLE BOULDERS FOR BETTER POINTS. Also, are you sure that retart thing is true?

  • Pretty good there Zallard. It's better than I can do. I only get 185 or so when I play.

  • Yeah, and I usually do, but that bomb killed him before I could CUS it.

Well, looks like I got every level on Youtube!

  • With that in mind, like I said in Corneria(Expert), you might want to start uploading some more Super Nintendo Starfox videos if you ever get the chance or when you're bored.

  • I'll actually start some SNES Starfox levels as soon as it appears in the Virtual Console library (I borrowed a real copy from my friend and returned it. Also my Xbox is acting rather... odd).

I may not be good with SF64 on the VC, but with the Classic controller resembling the SNES controller more than an N64 one, I have a better chance of getting good videos.

  • That'll be good to see. It's been a while since you've uploaded a video here on YouTube, so that's something worth the wait! Also, I wonder if you can use a GameCube controller to play classic games with?

  • @zallard1

I love the original starfox, I used to be good enough at it that I'd get a perfect score on every level on the hardest path, Now I'm so rusty at it I can barely survive.. sector Z was it (with all the transparent blocks)?

Do you have any interest in that "shadows of lylat" project?

  • Way better than I could probably do. Good job!

  • Some mistakes nevertheless good.

My best score is 258 for the Area6 path (71 points below my overall record for this level).

And I wonder why you claim to be bad at CUSing the ships at the boss because at the beginning you did itpretty well( CUSing the rocks wasn't good though).

  • Yeah, the rocks are why my score suffers. I can take down the ships pretty good now, but the rocks mess me up for some reason :-\

  • Oh, and the boss's blue laser beams distract me ALOT. Also, I got my 274 in Normal mode (Nick told me I should try Expert for the boss fight's ships)

  • Awesome ending! I have a couple of questions this time. Why were you running into walls before you got to the checkpoint, and why did you decide to not use the smart bombs on aerial enemies until you got to the boss? I'm sure you knew it was hard to hit him, anyway.

  • read the description, some parts of the train will respawn after the checkpoint although you destroyed them (makes a 3 hits bonus).

If you use bombs you don't get HIT+x bonus so for high scores it's important to use CUS instead of bombs.

  • OK. I know that he had to kill himself to show the benefits of starting back at the checkpoint, but what about those two other times when he was crashing just to wait for rocks? What was the purpose of that?

  • I get a better shot at getting good CUS shots at the rocks. I still need to do better on those parts though.

  • Oh, OK. Thanks for telling me, Zallard1. If you wanna stop running into walls while waiting for rocks, I think you should barrel-roll and break.

  • Maybe not the best score, but you beat me in a heartbeat.

  • Yeah, getting the medal the first time on this level is tricky, unless you know about the switches.

  • How long does it take to know about the switches?

  • It's a very easy pattern. The only one hidden is the one on the right behind the shootable door. The rest are out in the open.

  • I was expecting a more numerical answer for that one. It seemed that it would be tougher than that by the way they were set up.
