I love the narration you give on this. Great video too. Were you passing along that info on the phone?

I was relaying reports during this chase to the NWS and WAND-TV via phone but the narration in this video is for the camera mainly. I sometimes will keep the phone calls that I make in the clip but I had to edit this down a bit. Glad you liked the video.

Massive lightning - terrifying sky - "I don't see a tornado on the ground at the moment but there's definately a large rotating wall cloud ..." Looks like a tornado to me! That's why I couldn't chase - when skies go dark, I turn a deeper shade of chicken - great capture, adding to favorites -

Technically it is just a funnel cloud at all times except when it is on the ground, at which time it is a tornado. Like meteorologist Lee Davis at WAND-TV in Decatur said on air on Friday night, it is kind of redundant when people say "tornado on the ground".

This was a massive storm and had a history of tornadoes by the time that I intercepted it. It also quickly changed directions and started moving southeast instead of east, which put me right in its path (a place that is not fun to be).
