  • Could you still get the fiber optic quality threw tubing? Could you use this to light up your pool house?

  • wow, i've gotta say im impressed with the ingenuity some people use in their home projects

  • Can you tell me in detail of what type and how exactly the sponge in the bottom is being used ?? Very cool by the way !!!

  • It is interesting how the light bends around the water flow.

  • romantic!

  • how do you het the outside of the stream to light up?? i made a laminar jet and now its like a fiberoptic but you cant see the light on the outside of the stream.....you can only see it when it is hit by the shaker

  • Great work! Any chance you could post the pump specs? Have you measured the flow rates and pressures? I'm planning on building a laminar nozzle of my own design, much smaller than this one. I'm trying to get an idea of pump size, water flow, and pressure to keep the Reynolds number well inside the laminar range (less than 2000). Thanks!

  • .

    Awesome long distance LED bidet!!!

A bidet is a low-mounted plumbing fixture or type of sink intended for washing the genitalia, inner buttocks, and anus.

    :)

  • CRAP, its all fiber optics. I know cause I can tell, and this is fiber optics.

  • @ki4hou Naw... same principle as fiber optics but instead of the laser following the fibre optic line its following the line of the water flow. helixing around and bouncing from the edges. just like fibre optics

    USH!

  • you should tell all these comment nazis to suck an egg, you did just fine, I enjoyed your video thank you. :- |

  • Hello, I saw many you tubes with the same design flaw in which the water exits the straws and returns to a state of confusion in the head space prior to fighting for the nozzle exit. The water is no longer layered. All these units do give the appearance of laminar flow because of the slow feed but in reality the nozzle needs to be the same size as the packed staws or the straws need to be packed in the shape of the nozzle you have created. Tom

  • Song name?

  • Please upload a step-by-step tutorial on how to make it!

  • Where is the water flowing to? Is it shooting into a pool? What does the entry point look like? Is it smooth and semi silent compared to a regular hose? How you thought about trying to have the water bounce off of objects, similar to a laser, but with less harsh angles, Or just hitting a perfectly flat surface like a mirror at just the right angle and see if and how the light travels from the impact point - I am blow away by this video and wish I had funds to make my own!

  • This is really cool. Too bad the camera never stays on subject. Was the point to make a video that does NOT show how it works?

  • what part takes the most of the money

  • how does this work?

  • @CommonRaven really great advice!!

  • Intro:IM FARIAN MAH LAZOR BLEAARRGHH

  • I would love to know what is the basic plumbers name for the Nozzle you used? For $300 this is am amazing set-up these usually go for like $1,500 but like 5 times smaller. It would be great if you can make a "Set by Step" for this, your Laminar Jet is the best on YouTube and i would love to see how to make it.

  • Very interesting...beautiful colours

  • where do i find directions on how to make this? this would be epic for a pool party

  • WOOOOOWW COLOR WATER...!! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN

  • Coolest. Anything. Ever.

Making one, or at least paying a smart person to do it.

  • @CommonRaven

Or you could build your own and post your own video...

  • Awesome is not a big enough word. Great tech, great spirit in making it happen. Loving this!

  • How do you create what looks like a pulse of light traveling down the stream? Do you inject some sort of substance into it?

  • @CommonRaven shut the fuck up and just enjoy the video ya jackass

  • This is amazing but please stop wasting water

  • @CommonRaven pwned

  • @CommonRaven OCD much?

  • this+protonpack= EPIC WIN

  • it doesnt even look like water lol

  • whats the name of this song please?

  • This is awesome. I hope youtube (and this video) are still around when my oldest son (now 2.5yr) is old enough to do this w/ his dad!

  • Could you make a how to video?

  • @CommonRaven nor do you my friend, nor do you lol

  • An awesome way of wasting precious water.

  • @CommonRaven Nice comment from someone who has almost no video posts.

  • DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!!

  • So it's a fountain?

  • @CommonRaven I appreciate your advice, but in case you've failed to notice, this is the most viewed Laminar Water Jet video on YouTube and I just posted it a a month ago. My work may not be conventional, but the results speak for themselves:)

  • @renetto But you don't know how many headaches you've produced with these amateur pannings...The water jet is amazing, your video is not.

So next time follow CommonRaven's advice, and your hit rate might double...

  • @renetto I hate to break it to you but it's not your dazzling camera work that made this vid get the hits, it's the actual water jet.

CommonRavens points are all still very valid, no matter what your ego thinks.

  • @renetto its most viewed because it was put on there i fixed it.

  • @renetto Doesn't mean anything...Your video is poorly filmed and edited. Its also VERY annoying to watch. CommonRaven was right in what he posted, take your head out of your ass and listen to him.

Oh and i shoot still and live for a living, so my experience speaks for itself...

  • @renetto Well, I see it this way: Lots of clicks do not make a good video. I really appreciated your video, because I find the content interesting, but the filming itself could be better. Just take CommenRavens post as an advice for future videos.

By the way: Just because everyone has a shitty iPhone, doesn't make it a good device... ;-) It's not the quantity, that counts.

    C.

    P.S.: No offence.

  • @renetto Its just good advice. The video did come across as amateurish on account of the points CommonRaven made, it almost spoils the coolness of the device. That aside, its a nice thing you posted this.

  • @renetto have you ever wondered if data could travel trouhg the laminar water flow i bet that is possible... I would appreciate your answer and follow up...

  • @renetto I am confident the success of this video has very little to do with your "unconventional" ability with a camera and has far more to do with your prior internet fame. Speaking of unrelated pieces of information, none of the other laminar water jet videos I've seen are attached to unrelated advertisements either.

  • @renetto @ your response to CommonRaven

Whoa calm your ego. Your head's going to hit some airplanes at this rate.. What a milestone, the most viewed laminar water jet video. Laminar jets aren't mainstream, if it were, your video would surely not be most viewed, the only reason it is, is because of your shit fanbase. Your results are an outcome of you producing terrible, v-blogs with eye-catching/racy images as screen caps. You are no different than anyone else, and highly undeserving.

  • @renetto So basically you're not going to take some honest advice that's been given to you to help improve your videos?

  • wanna..... touch.... it......

  • So it is basicly a water sprinkler that lights up the water.

  • Totally awesome!

Couple of questions though: how intense are the LEDs? Like normal LED or the laser-LED-you-will-go-blind type?

You say you use tap water under pressure. Do you mean the pressure straight from the tap or via a pump or similar?

  • @cyberwizzard Dave is the expert but the LED is pretty bright and yes, it's normal water but under pressure via a pump.

  • @renetto What size pump are you using?

  • What's the background music?

  • Have you seen the mythbusters where they try to make a water gun based taser? They failed because of the spacing in the water as it came out, but your device would solve that. You should post a link to this one their site and see if they want to try again using your design.

  • @DracoDan2 Haha i was just thinking the same thing, that would be very interesting to see the mythbusters retry the myth with a laminar jet.

  • overcomplicated/sized/priced imo, i will make my own when i got the chance

  • very cool, living artwork

  • Dave's a super genius inventor and everything, but what is its purpose. Just to put in a pond in your back yard or something?

  • can i put one of these in my dick?

  • @HalfSharkGator I'm not sure we could make one small enough for that.

  • @renetto hey hey.. what are u trying to say?

  • @HalfSharkGator Oh you know what he's trying to say.

  • @renetto hahahahahaha RENNETO-1 HALFSHARKGATOR-0!! RENNETO SCHOOLED YOU GATOR!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • @renetto

Speaking of genitals, you seem a bit testy.

  • 0:03 squirtle!

  • ITS AMAZIN!!

  • you should use vodka instead of water mmm

  • Awesome

  • wow cool i thought it was a tube a 1st

  • slowing down the speed of light??!!?!!!

  • a dick and a vagina @ 3:13

  • @boymaut you're messed up

  • @boymaut haha so mature -_-

  • i didn't under stand a word

  • how does it stay in that shape? why isnt it going every where???

  • @PursuteOfHappiness

    it's been pressurized.

  • Neat, its sorta like a water laser. youtube.com/watch?v=NtlDgGl2At0

  • Make me one! :D

  • i thought thiss was going to one of thee the water jets that cut titanium

    guess not lol!

  • Water and science never ceases to amaze me...

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......

  • wow thats really cool

  • NICE! The power of fluid mechanics!

  • cooooooooool

  • wow

  • 0:00 squirtle! use water gun!!

  • @AMVoverlord LMAO! this comment best be gettin some thumbs up!!

  • waste of water, unless your watering your plants this way, that would be cool

  • Is there a how to video on how to build one?

  • its under $300 who knows... it could be $299.99

  • Wow, this has Blown my Mind, if i ever move into a house with a Pool ill send you a message so you can make me one.

  • nice

  • I saw this in Vegas, Hotel

  • OMG your make the colors of rainbows!!! What DOES THIS MEAN!!!!

  • sic

  • ur a little pusssy thhat cant even touch the water. uugghhh

  • @renetto do you know the name of the song? awesome project btw.

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know the name of the song?

  • so cool

  • Dude... whoever built this... could design a fountain with several of these streams and make a fortune doing custom fountains... I can easily see these being used in fancy hotels and Vegas would go gaga over them.

  • @batfly um thats what there from dumbass

  • @MozTS

Oh thanks... Makes sense. Never seen them before... thanks for the lesson... I guess I deserve the insult.

***Cowers in the corner in a pile of shame.***

  • Yo post the plans for this.

  • awwwweesssoomeee!!!

  • That is so awesome! Is it really that silent?

  • That is totally cool!

You should patent that. I can see you making some really cool fountains.

  • @BillyGoat4x4 he can't, the guy who made the one in vegas already did that. Actually the maker of the water jet made this out of a pvc pipe, straws, and a bucket. He made it when he was in 5th grade as a project for school.

  • The best part about it is that his shirt has these wet stripes all across it!

  • thts awesome !!!

  • Cool machine. You guys keep saying strawls though. Last I checked they were called straws...lol!

  • Very cool! Love the high powered LED fiber optic effect. Guess that it is something like a laser but with fluid! Could do the same thing as a waterfall but it is neat to see that it works like that under higher pressure also.

So how high/far will the jet go before it becomes turbulent and turns to spray?

  • @PlainObserver About 15 feet until it starts to come apart.

  • odendahlt ( I could learn a lot from you thanks ) Thats GREAT!!!

  • odendahlt

  • epic golden shower

  • god bless your friend, man.

That's what happens if someone turns on his brain for a little.

  • i think it's very easy

  • so magic is truly exist in this world ..... i knew it !!!

  • um not to be an asshole but with 300 u could have gotten somethin better like an ipod touch or watever

  • @ilovedamusic1000 or you could have bought something to make you a little less stupid

  • lol cool... i guess?

  • epic

  • will it mess it up if you run your entire hand through it

  • @AtomikPumpkins No. It would have just sprayed all over me and got my iPhone wet.

  • I bet a lot of theme parks would be VERY interested in this!

  • SHOOT DA WHOOOP!!

  • very cool.

  • So it's plain tap water that's coming out of the hose?

  • @fikerk Under pressure... yes.

  • @fikerk

Drop metallic sprinkles into the flow.

Some will probably bounce off. But the stream will probably catch some and the surface tension will hold them in.

  • Can you purchase these kits? Or can you post the schematics?

  • lots of creativity, amazing

  • oooh shiny!

  • that's sweet. btw this is your new 2nd cousin in law lol

  • Future

  • This is amazing.

  • Seriously, what is wrong with all the videos? I am getting pauses for every video I watch. DL speed is like fast then it stops to Download the next 20 seconds. >:[]

  • @Action2Viewer just exit out of browser. clean ur history and delete ur cookies. and try it again.

  • @monkeyrahha Thanks, I bet that will work. :)

  • dang cooler than the water show

  • what would happen if that hit someone, say if used as a weapon

  • @xxblanksxx1 Nothing... you saw the guy with the stream shot into his mouth. Perhaps if someone was really close to the nozzle and thus got hit by the water with the maximum amount of force possible damage could be done.

  • thumbs up if u saw the thing about this stuff on CBS Sunday Morning last week

  • i want one

  • My name is Renato. Lol, hello renetto :D

  • you could sell this to the BLUE MAN in LAS VEGAS !!! :)

  • hey dude stop wasting our water supplies lol

  • cool!

  • Alien jizz?

  • woah

  • OMG!!! This is simply the most amazing thing i have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dragoncrus Then you must not have seen that dog who says "Batman".

  • Who is the idiot who filmed this? Jesus, hold the camera still and show us what we're looking at.

  • Ok that was awesome but that camerawork during the interview almost made me vomit... so much panning back and forth back and forth back and forth back and forth

  • Excellent work. Kudos.

  • WOW! That is pretty cool!

  • And here I was asking on my Facebook page, "When was the space age supposed to start?"

  • thats right ya dirty hoe, swallow all that cum like the cum dumpster ya are

  • @bandages13 i'll punch you right in your face dick wad suck my nuts black kid

  • So what do you use this for? What's dave doing this research work for?

  • @westin1985 for the fun of it.

    Sent from MyU2B

  • Who needs Disney's World of Color when we have Dave!!!

  • @phototech11 Disney has actually been using this technology for decades. Walt Disney World has had them and they're also used in Disneyland.
