Are you aware that there is snow in the mountains even in summer? Or do you expect people to attach the skis midflight after taking off from a snow free airport with the intention to land on snow? ;)

Hehe, yeah. That's the electical flap motor which is way too loud in FSX. But retracting the flaps immediately after touchdown is part of a good STOL landing so I couldn't help it. ;)

The sound and noise level of the flap motor is actually quite accurate. I fly an L19 as a glider tow place and that flap motor is mounted directly behind the pilot's head and it is extremely loud.

Yeah, in the cockpit view it's accurate. But in FSX it is just as loud in the external view a 100 feet away from the aircraft. ;)
