  • @makelive Syracuse ny hackerspace sig315 is mostly toward circuitry and programing and linux the site is sig315.org if u could could u contact them to see if they could go on your show

  • Makelive can u do a story on sig315 we are a "hacker" space upstate in Syracuse ny we are mostly programing , Linux , and electrical but branching out into wood , website: sig315.org

  • I dont mean to be rude but he doesnt sound like he is from berlin.

  • @K9LLL

just out of curiosity... What would he sound like if he was from Berlin?

  • @tripwire76 maybe Scorpions? a lot of goth type metal is what we hear in the West out of Germany. :)

  • he is from Cali if memory serves me correct.

  • ""Archive clip" hmmmm, isn't that a euphemism for a "dredged up old re run"?

  • @lennyf1957 Nope, it's the permanent home of segments from our live streaming show and tell! We post these as soon as we can after the live broadcast, usually within 12 hours.

  • @makemagazine

so why is it called an "Archive Clip"?

  • @lennyf1957 it's a euphemism for something that is not streemed live.

I find it extraordinary that someone with such a broad vocabulary does not have the capacity to regard others and their efforts. just remember: Whilst you type your negative comments, these people CREATE.

  • I think it would be cool to see this guy do a collaborative performance with Roy "Futureman" Wooten...... although it looks like Onyx's setup may have a lot more automation happening behind the scenes than direct production of music (where he's not necessarily playing the instrument vs. sensors that just toggle various parameters from a programmed track)

  • @infinitycrops I've had a chance to see Onyx do his thing he is the real deal no automation a real musician- at the time he was a rep for Yamaha wind control instruments in San Francisco. He was off the hook with it.

  • @infinitycrops that is a form of playing music only different instrument than the conventional tools, from what I can tell from other performances the lead notes are being played on a midi wind instrument while the rest of the backing is being triggered and controlled in real time by the hands (bass notes beat loops, tempo, pitch, effects, etc etc)

  • what tune is that they play in the background 5:00

  • i was expecting onyx the rapper and ashanti the rnb singer

  • I've have spent years and many countless hours soldering Arduinos and programing and didn't even come close to the amount of vertically in my midi control devices that you have!!! as a matter of fact once I found out what you did and how you did it my own projects have collected much dust! lol I can't wait to get on of these and integrate it into my Roland GL-10 guitar rig. Hang in their ONYX, the world will eventually catch up to you!

  • to the guy who commented on the music, this is about much more than music, this guy is an engineer at the forefront of the technology that is going to change how musicians play and preform music in a live situations, ANY type of music and control it all aspects of it wirelessly in real time, it's uses are only limited to your own imagination. when these devices come out as an add on hardware app for your iphone you'll be on board and you are going to pay a lot more for it then. ONYX you da man!

  • @jeremysdemo1 It's a toy show unless the music is there to back it up.

  • @alphabeets all instruments are toys unless the artist has something original to play on them, this toy just happens to control a whole other bunch of toys wirelessly in real time.

  • This guy kinda reminds of blade.

  • keep going guys! You're awesome :)

  • Enter The Matrix Costume

  • It seems to be all about the toys and not the MUSIC. The music I hear is nothing I care for.

  • @alphabeets Lets hear your music. It has to be way better than this guy right???

  • myspace DOT com/onehitblunder1

there are other songs I did a few years ago on their too if you follow the link in my friend area.

  • Comment removed

  • @alphabeets hmmm thank you for showing us all how truly innovative you are, and your use of vocabulary is astounding, again you are entitled to your opinion.
