@coffeefish You are right about child molestors being the lowest of scum - but it's not just a catholic issue. In fact, they have a lower incidence than most other clergy. Research it yourself. The real issue (why so much public coverage) was that the diocese helped cover it up. That is what people, including catholics, are pissed at. As for child molestors (that aren't family members), the highest incidence is still teachers and doctors - the people with the most (and most trusted) access.

Druce also heard Geoghan on the phone discusiing his plans to open an orphanage in a foreign country upon his release. (He would have been out by now) When Joseph Druce heard this, he had a panic attack in the shower (documented) he was reliving what happended to him as a boy. Geoghan and a few others had a NAMBLA meeting! Yet Joseph is the only one being punished for this crime

Putting someone in prison for being what I would call assaulted is not justifiable. CPS is a good example-they recieve reports of child abuse, and don't follow up, on a big percentage of those cases. Those children fall through the cracks, and the majority tortured to death. Your friend who got over the molestation well that's wonderful, but a lot of children never do, their souls are murdered, and they become very sick.
There are an un-countable number of children that are molested, and abused that never get over it. No matter how much support and counseling they get. There's a large number of them in this country. Rainsdad: Also child molestation victims can recover if given enough time and support. They are not necessarily traumatized for life or have their entire lives ruined. The event can be traumatizing yes, but it's effects can fade over time just like with any other traumatic event.. Molestation isn't some magical thing where the victim is ruined forever and nothing can change it. I had a friend who was molested as a kid who told me it was possible to get over, just like with anything else.

@coffeefish You are right about child molestors being the lowest of scum - but it's not just a catholic issue. In fact, they have a lower incidence than most other clergy. Research it yourself. The real issue (why so much public coverage) was that the diocese helped cover it up. That is what people, including catholics, are pissed at. As for child molestors (that aren't family members), the highest incidence is still teachers and doctors - the people with the most (and most trusted) access.

Druce also heard Geoghan on the phone discusiing his plans to open an orphanage in a foreign country upon his release. (He would have been out by now) When Joseph Druce heard this, he had a panic attack in the shower (documented) he was reliving what happended to him as a boy. Geoghan and a few others had a NAMBLA meeting! Yet Joseph is the only one being punished for this crime

I was in Shirley medium when this happened. Souza-Baranowski, named for two CO's killed in prison, is Shirley Max. The mindset of the CO's at that time was "Fuck Geoghan. That piece of shit kid diddler got what he deserved." And that was the mindset of all of us prisoners as well. But, one thing you do not do in the MASS DOC is make them guards or their admin look bad. And Druce did just that.

The latest news people is that the beating Joseph recieved Halloween when he was pulled out of his sleep and beat half to death by guards, is trying to be covered up, and they are now also trying to cut his communication from the outside, by emptying his account on bogus resstitiution charges for damaged state property, and it's a known fact the accusations are not ligit, and there's proof on one of them-an advocate has it in possesion. Yet, beyond the cruelty is the sheer waste and futility. Prison control units DO NOT reform prisoners or make society safer; in fact, they do quite the opposite....

Keeping in mind inmates in SHU, a minority will be released back into society with no rehab from the SHU itself which they are simply torture chambers. 90,000 prisoners in this country are locked up in a SHU at any one time, cinfined to windowless boxes 6x9ft 23 hrs a day, barred from all human activity or contact except for a possible 1 hour and occasional taunt or threat from a guard.....

Putting someone in prison for being what I would call assaulted is not justifiable. CPS is a good example-they recieve reports of child abuse, and don't follow up, on a big percentage of those cases. Those children fall through the cracks, and the majority tortured to death. Your friend who got over the molestation well that's wonderful, but a lot of children never do, their souls are murdered, and they become very sick.

Rainsdad: Also child molestation victims can recover if given enough time and support. They are not necessarily traumatized for life or have their entire lives ruined. The event can be traumatizing yes, but it's effects can fade over time just like with any other traumatic event.. Molestation isn't some magical thing where the victim is ruined forever and nothing can change it. I had a friend who was molested as a kid who told me it was possible to get over, just like with anything else.

The Shirley facility was in havoc that day no doubt, and Brouiselle was in the parking lot, and he was called in to start cleaning up, and covering up, that's where the illgalities began, concerning the cover-up, and murderer(S) of Geoghan.

The personnel at CJ has been getting by with murder, and everything else for too long now, it will come to a head! By studying this case for approx. 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that CO Bradley is the murderer of Geoghan. He murdered Geoghan during the period of time he would not allow medical personnel into Geoghan's cell, after Joseph's removal. Between that, and the delay of taking Geoghan to the hospital in a reasonable amount of time....MURDER! Joseph was the scapegoat obviously!
