@nrk98 It's pretty great, honestly. The planes actually dog fight and the system isn't hard to figure out.

IMO if you want to try it I would track down Homeworld: Cataclysm. A great semi-sequel that has a killer campaign and two neat races. 1 is rather difficult in parts and 2 I never got into.

@jamesonSS1 It's a (modded) version of the Homeworld games. I'm not sure which one, they used the same engine. But it is *the best* space RTS ever made. Even if cataclysm has a horrible plot.

The whole "enemy contact" thing... doesn't usually happen like that. Being a pure AI fight is the problem. And maybe this mod. It's the game's "hey, moron, your army's being shot at, do something already" alert. I only see it in 3 maps. 2 are scripted. One's micromanagement hell.

I wonder how long it takes to train an 'enemy contact' operator? I can see the lessons now 'when this light goes red, we have enemy contact, make sure you repeat it over and over to make sure they hear you'. No doubt the easiest job in the fleet.

I have to admit...this is likely the most accurate rendition of a Star Wars battle of this size. Movies and books are allowed to have plot moments where ships, characters, and fleets wins with minimal losses despite usually being outnumbered...a game, however, is cold hard facts alone. And a Star Wars battle of this magnitude would equal massive amounts of damaged and destroyed vessels, period.

Nice use of music, to stop the arguments both sides are right, it starts with Imperial March (Star Wars) and then moves into the Starship Troopers suite (mainly Klendathu Drop and the main theme).
