  • It's really cool! I didn't actually do it because I'm too young, but they let me sing at the beginning. It was really cool! The person you're with is really friendly, and then if you don't make it you get a pin that says I auditioned for American Idol. I'm going to do it for real this year. I'm really excited!

  • Looks like I got myself a dream!

  • this is so cool!

  • i did this!! and got all the way to the live shows! it was the most amazing experience ever!!

  • Soon to be...The Xfactor Experience

  • @TheChaikus omg me too!! im going in 6 days!

  • haha he's got and ibook g4

  • why dont they let disney cast member kids audition ? thts not even fair .

  • Are real people aloud to go in the audience ?

  • @xxcupcakeloverxx0121 i went and yes you are aloud too. you also get to vote

  • @xxcupcakeloverxx0121 nope they only allow mannequins to sit in the audience because they dont want to rack in money

  • Can you get this done in one day? (for instance...if you make it through all the auditions) because I'm with a chorus group (we're competing) and we have a tight .schedule/

  • @MiasDanceVideos Yes, you audition in the morning. If accepted you are given a time to perform. If you win that show, you come back for the final show of the day and compete against all the other day's winners.

  • This is such an amazing experence! I won in march 2011.... sooo hate I couldn't get a video but they provide amazing pictures! Thanks Disney!

  • I just came back from disney and tried out, I was able to perform live on stage, but didn't make it to the final round XD

But it was still a ton of fun.

  • darn, no photography!!

  • ah damn it, wish I'd done it when I was there now

  • I work at the American Idol Experience :)

  • im planning to get in the actual show

  • This sounds like alot of fun. I'm going to Florida somewhere in July so it would be just a fun experience to try out and see what goes on.Hell idc if i make it i would just love to get some feedback about my audition and how i can improve

  • Hey, can anyone tell me how or where to sign up for the american idol experience? I really want to participate in this but I can't find out where or how to sign up for it.. it doesn't even say in their FAQs...

  • @uare2cute They probably got too many no-shows from people signing up online and removed the feature... head to the attraction first thing in the morning to get an audition time.

  • i wanna try this i cant wait for my trip to disney this year! :)))

  • I didn't even get through the 1st audition =\ she said I was a good singer but I was so excited and nervous about performing later (since I KNEW I'd get through) that my voice was really shaky. I cried after n felt like an idiot for it :P I was just so excited for it all day before... disappointing.

  • I went and performed look for mine "american Idol Daniel Grande" here on youtube.....the whole thing was an awesome experience!!

  • i want to audition but my mom won't let me but i really want

  • i want to audition soo badly! i turn 14 in october so my mom is gonna take me to audition! even if you dont make it to the show, you get a pin that says "I auditioned for American Idol"

  • @SuperKattt99

I'm gonna turn 14 in August, but last year they let me audition! It was fun!

  • good for disney! I am really happy they made this happen !

  • LOL I so want to go there.

  • I love this show. I have made it to a show every month since it has opened. It is truly as close as your gonna get to the real thing without actually auditioning for the real show. I highly recommend this to anyone that plans on visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios. Even if you dont sing you can still be apart of the experience by being in the live studio audience and voting for you favorite performer to move on to that days finale show. Who knows you could be apart of the next Cinderella Story!

  • aw I miss this soo much(: I won it last summer,it was soo funn I felt like a super star! haha

  • They have my favorite song on here I want to do it next month when I go if my mom will let me.

  • I won at Disney this past year. It was a great experience, and now I'm old enough to do American Idol with the Dream Ticket. Check out my singing videos. Just type in "Sarah Rivas Cover"

  • Haha i auditioned twice and didnt make it.. they said i didn't have enough "umph"

  • i was on this yesterday amazing experinence!!

  • what were the songs

  • i want to do this so badly but im only 12 so i cant do it. my mom says that on my 14th birthday shes gonna take me here to audition :) lol id probably lose as soon as i walked in lol

  • Awesome! I made it to the stage last week...the host on this vid, the second guy in headphones, and the vocal coach on the vid all were the ones I dealt with....SOOOOOOO awesome...if you sing you have to try it!

  • I did it last week too but the only person i recognize is the vocal coach. I had a BLAST!!! I won my show and went back for the finale :D

  • that really cool! how old do you have to be? and where is it located?

  • this is in orlando florida's disney world in the hollywood movies park (i think) and you must be 14 and up

  • They showed the lyrics to Footloose, how awesome! :D Wow I'd give anything for an audition like that. Hahah. (: <3

  • cool

  • i think i am just going to skip this attraction when i go to DW hollywood studios

  • i was just there yesterday and they didnt tell me about the whole hair and makeup thing and recorded audition, i thought it was like very on the spot stuff, had i known it was so chill and in a room and stuff i would have totally done it. ughh this makes me upset.

  • that is the biggest ipod iver ever seen

  • lol I agree!!

  • i feel like it is a waste of time

  • This was great. I got to perform last weeka and it was a GAS!

  • i plan on doing this when i go next week.

  • man, i could care less about being in the show actually, i would just wanna take a picture with the yellow ticket :) hahaah

  • haha lmao me too x]]

  • arghh, i wish i was going back again this year to try this lmao.

  • i dont get what it is

  • haha that's so cool!!

they don't automatically let anyone pass those auditions right? is this only in orlando, florida?

  • thing is that of all the auditions in one day, only 10% of those auditions make it to the main stage.

  • lol I was at MGM yesterday, the park is decked out with AI stuff. xD Looks cool, I'm gonna watch it some time.

  • No you did not Vanessa, a guy named Michael Elliot won.

  • I belive Michael won on the opening night for the media, Feb. 12, 2009.

  • actually, i googled her and she DID win a ticket :P

  • i won the FIRST Dream Ticket on Valentines Day at AIE. SERIOUS!!!

    Google me: Vanessa Quillao

Also, watch videos on my channel!

p.s. i won with 'No One' by Alicia Keys (i sing it better now than in the video lol)

  • I was just wondering, how long was the entire American Idol Experience? I mean from the minute you gave your first audition to the glorious moment when the show ended and you got your dream ticket? BTW congratulations on winning! I'm planning on booking an audition for when I go to disney world and I would like to know how long it lasts so that I can choose the right time to audition so that I can still enjoy the rest of the park. Congrats again!

  • Just saw your question. I auditioned about 830 outside the park b4 it opened...made the first show...11 I think? and it took all that time to do the entire thing....I'd recommend that. BUT...if you win, you have to be back at 6 for the 7 show...

  • How late do they take audition? Is it throughout the day, or do they stop my noon or something? I'm going to be going to Disney World in November, and I really want to audition, but I'm not much of a morning person. In fact, I haven't been there when the park opens in about ten years. But if that's the only way to get an audition, I'll have to talk my family into going early that day.

  • yay!! Im going to disney april 1-6 so im definently going to do this...even if i am only 14 almost 15 April 9th! Wish me luck!

I also have videos on my channel of me singing, tell me if you think i should do the American Idol Experience!

  • wow what if they booed someone off the stage

  • I'm guessing you have to have singing ability to go through, right? I just want to do it to see what its like...I don't care if my voice isn't award worthy. Lol. I can sing, but not superb...

  • is this all done in one day?

  • the guy on this video is hilarious but really informative. It looks like it could be alot of fun

  • is a ticket to get ahead in line at the real audition. Not as people are led to believe. Out in the park, thin, attractive girls that sing as a hobby were turned away, but fat middle aged women were approached and asked if they wanted to tryout backstage. I feel sorry for the teens that had to pay $75.00 to be turned away so that they can have "ordinary" guests get on stage.

  • You just unwittingly and unconsciously told the public that you were one of those rejected LOL

  • We were there, they are purposely choosing "contestants" without talent so people can laugh at them. It is a make-believe karaoke show, all is given to the daily winner

  • i'm auditioning wish me luck!

  • good luck!

  • good luck! Tell me how it goes!

  • my mom works there as a preliminary judge (or "casting director") , the ones where you sing for first, and then they send you to the producer.

  • hahahahhaa

  • really?

  • I worked for Disney almsot got to be in th promo video for this attraction but I got the email late I think

  • i saw it yesterday cuz i live in florida it was amazing

  • hmm, I think that's amazing how there's two steps like in REAL auditions. For example, when I did Canadian Idol, we saw a producer in groups of 5, and then if we made it past her, an exec producer one on one. Seem's AIE's got it down... but... since DHS is international... would they let Canadian's audtion?

  • People from other countries can try out and perform, but they can't win the Golden Ticket.

  • but, the Golden Ticket is the one that you get after your first audition or the one you get to audition for the real American Idol?

  • At the American Idol Experience, the golden ticket is the one you can win that let's you bypass the line at a regular American Idol audition.

  • :D ohh so that means if you're from another country, if you win you just give the Golden Ticket to someone else? or the second place?

  • @winnie106 the golden ticket can be trespassed, so if you're not a US resident, you can give it to somebody else.

  • @AttractionsMagazine @WestJet I made it on stage with the American Idol Experience and Represted Canada "notice my shirt", check out my profile for the video on my American Idol Experience

  • Sure to be a huge hit!

  • Looks fun. But is it just going to be in florida

  • What happens if it's not American Idol season?

  • what dif. does it make?

  • oh yeahhhhh !!! i work there!!!

shout out to the cast members in this video: CODY BETH & JEFF!!!

  • Since this is Disney, I can assume they will not have a super harsh judge to berate you when your talents are less than stellar. That wouldn't be very much fun, yes...I'm talking about Simon. :D

  • true. although there is a "simon-esque" judge, he/she'll be much less antagonistic like simon

  • thats really cool!

  • This should help keep lines down!

  • when is the preview? im a vacation club owner and annual passholder, i heard they are having a soft opening for them

  • Limited previews have already begun, though are not guaranteed each day. Annual Passholder previews are on February 5 and require you to sign up via the Annual Passholder web site.

  • looks fun!
