ditch the new tagline "Ideas for Life" and stick with the old one which said "Just Slightly Ahead of Our Time" when Panasonic comes out with HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc Players.
@DisneyBlackJet What about regular DVDs? I feel like VHS to DVD was enough and instead of DVD to Blu-Ray, rather just go online for streaming. And it's God's country to be stuck in the past; the rules are closer to God's message, people use correct grammar/spelling/punctuation that their teachers taught them and not rebel and "break the rules". I'm staying in the 20th century and I'm proud about it!
@regressing2apes i love Panasonic stuff to. Sony is crap compared to Panasonic i keep a close eye on this kind of stuff and Panasonic is just the best far better than any Sony product. We have had alot of trouble with Sony products so now if i want something its Panasonic only!!
I never found programming my 1985 Betamax very hard. I actually found VCR+ to be harder because you had to punch in the exact number and sometimes with all the narrow rows of shows and channels you can accidentaly mess up. It still is a good idea, but once you lose your remote, you're screwed.
I always loved Panasonic's VCRs. I can't believe that now they only way ro get a new VCR is to buy those crappy DVD/VCR combos. Thanks to all this stupid technology changes, it makes VCRs and Record player hard to get. Not everyone like MP3 and all this modern technology crap.
@iloveusmarinecorps the reason being, that nowadays everything is made in china.no wonder why the modern tech stuff are crappy. but back then things were made in Japan, which meant quality
096756, I still use VCRs for temp recording also. I've still got video machines reliably cranking away after 24 years, whereas my optical recorders (especially CD computer drives) crap out after only 2 or 3 years.
@FantomLightning Unless you're using DVDs for coasters they they shouldn't be getting damaged. I've had zero discs fail versus many tapes over the years.
I have this commercial in my collection somewhere. Program with a touch tone phone? I guess it works like my Panasonic pure cassette answering machine (digital answering machines and voice mail suck) call your phone number press your 2 digit code and # and a menu prompts you from there of course you have to hook your VCR to a phone jack like with Dish or Directv. I am still trying to find one that works on ebay.
you can program it with your phone? holy crap that is cool! there are plenty of times where I have left the house and forgot to record something , and I would think about how cool it would be to call my vcr and set it to record from the keypad.
Shit, and all I have is a rotary payphone :(

@Nza420 Or a touch-tone phone. And it can probably be from any land-line as well.

Anyone notice how old the parents look? They look like they're in their 60s and the kid has to be around 8.
