I'm so glad Tokyopop stop using bad visualize affects after this race. Its not very good and its pointless. I love the music in Jap version with its Euro beat the english music is not bad with its trance and house music. it uses a bit of hip hop and rock. I like that one Arabian beat they use during the Shingo vs Takumi battle.

For anybody that wants to get the english version of this you can subscribe to Demonoid to download it. You will also have to have either Bittorrent or Utorrent. Its just my opion but Utorrent is better choice. It automatically updates.

Most animes are horrible in english... especially this one. Voice dubbing and background music is horrible. Not only that, but they've put in extra visual effects. It hurts my eyes.

I always heard that the english dubs for initial d is terrible but at less they do provide the original Japanese audio.

However, I didn't know that Tokyopop have added some "visual effects" to the show.  What is up with the zoom-in effects when the characters are shifting gear? Why did they add that effect on 1:25?

Even if Tokyopop provide the original Japanese, these visual effects are unacceptable. It does not enhance the animation at all.
