  • what shank is this?

  • i wish i had the chance to do ballet. i love pointe. i think i would have been really good at it. my foot is super flexible. without training it at all i have an amazing floorpoint. i guess just a nice arch. *sigh. o well

  • I think i'll change my pointe shoes for gaynors. They're sooo pretty! >_<

You are so skinny! And look amaizing in them! Great job!

  • i disagree with your comment - hard shanked gaynors do soften. I get new pairs every few months because I have strong feet and the Gaynors soften to the point where I can fold them in half. I break the softer shanked ones in even less time... however compared to the couple of days it took to soften my Bloch and Sansha's.. i'm very happy with the Gaynors!

  • Your feet are beautiful!

  • I thought thoses were demi pointe shoes!?

  • You have beautiful feet and arches!

  • u should push youre ankles forward a bit more to get a nice line down the foot

  • Hello! I would take these pointe shoes, but I do not know what number to take. Can you recommend taking the number knowing that you put on 38-39? You have that number? Fit small or large compared to other pointe shoes? I hope you answer me ...

  • You have a nice arches!!! i bought in internet a gaynor miden but i dont have them yet , but im crazy and nervous because i want to use right now i never use a gaynor miden but the comments that i heard say is very good ..!! please tell how is it going into yours feet..!!

  • i know Thoose shoes are more expensive then the regular brands but how much longer do they last compared to other brands.

  • I don't like gaynors I prefer bloch!...

  • @lupi94 me too! I liked my Gaynors for like 3 weeks and that was it. Now I'm back to Bloch and they are much better for my feet!

  • @lupi94 yeah I also like bloch a lot!

  • @amamgarden i dont really like bloch pointes ;p ughh.

  • such beautiful shoes!!(:

  • they look really good! =)

  • these are beautiful on you! i love them

  • I didn't know how hard it was to roll through demi. I just did it like ok what next lol.. Well props to you cause that was great!

  • Ooooooh Shiny!

  • wow they look beautiful on your feet! :)

  • you have STUNNING ankles.

  • Does the demi pointe audomatically come on the new gaynor mindens? Just asking because i might get some later in life. I just got new pointe shoes today and i kind of regret them now.

  • i love new pointe shoes, they're so fresh looking

  • your sitting back a little bit, try to hold your centre forward more when your en pointe =]

  • they look good on your feet.

  • you're not supposed to practice or try anything in point shoes if you dont have the ribbons or at least the elastics on it yet! You could get injured very easily if your shoe slips off.

  • its not her feet its her shoes.. they're pre-arched. i sell pointe shoes and gaynors are known as the "cheat shoe".

  • My daughter had to change to capezzio because she culdn't made the demi pointe, how long until she can soften the gaynor ,the bag is green

  • never, gaynors cannot be broken into soft pointe shoes, especially not the green ones because they are hard.

  • @uva690 dont get the green bag! that is a hard shank and that isnt only used for dancers with extremely good arches and extremely strong feet. try getting the pink bag or the one under the pink bag which might be purple. i know from experience my very first year of pointe i got the green gaynor bag and gaynors do break in a little bit. i would do more research on tthe gaynor minden site on the different shanks. but i would definatly recommend the pink bag. contact me for questions :D

  • @uva690 I would never put someone in a hard Gaynor Minden, precisely for the demi-pointe. She has a lot of baggage on the sides of the shoes, which suggests a fitting problem. I would suggest the sleek fit, but not everyone can wear these shoes.

  • @uva690 Just buy gaynors with a softer shank. This will solve your problem instantly.

  • @uva690 your daughter probballly need to get a softer shank, green is the hardest shank they have, so it depends on your daughter's ankle streghts, so need to be changed to either pink or yellow and even softer shanks.

  • nice feet!!

  • beautiful feet.. Gaynor Minden are fantastic!!

  • hello,i just bought a new pair of Gaynor Mindens, (extra flex) i couldnt do the demi pointe wth them, not even flatten the arch, is tat not a problem?

  • Same with me, when I first got them, I just kept rolling through, and the shank did get softer.

  • which colour of bag did u buy?

  • I have Gaynor Mindens :D I love them, there fantastic :) But tbh i think you should but some elastic or ribbon on them shoes :/ x

  • is demi pointe tha same as pointe.. does it really take three years

  • for demi pointe you don't go up onto pointe, you just wear dead pointe shoes or soft blocked shoes to get used to dancing in them as opposed to canvas slippers. However, in this video i was wearing pointe shoes, and just trying to go through the demi pointe position, on the way to full pointe (which I could do because these are pointe shoes, not soft pointe shoes). In my classes, once we got pointe shoes we didn't wear slippers any more, just soft pointe shoes

  • oh i see, thanks

  • @diamondstone220 it took me eight years.. age 4 to twelve.

  • how much time do your GMs last? I have them to but my feet are really really arched and I have worn the hardest pointe shoes they make. I have been tld by some people that I should try conventional pointe shoes do they last longer on your great feet?

  • Conventional Pointe shoes, the shank will break very quickly.

  • isk how that would be cheater shoes, then i guess that makes me a cheater, cuz i get bloch aspirations and i cant do anything to them at all, just sew and take class, no bending or anything. If i do my shoes will break within one month. but if i get harder shoes then i wont go over enough.......so its just a type of shoe that is already the way u want it. its the same thing as me...................so come on the work and pain arnt really drasticly less, we all have to work hard to be good.....

  • I could never do anything in my bloch aspirations either. Try the bloch sonata or the grishko elite.

  • oh =] thank you!!! I will definitly try those :D

  • No problem =]

  • Im speechless but you should put your ribbons and elastics on before you start anything.

  • Thoes are beautfiul shoes!

  • omg your feet are gorgeous! any shoes would make them look great, so yes these look good lol

  • gaynor minden are consisdered as 'cheater shoes' , do you think if someone wore them for an audition the judges would notice, would it make any difference to thier desicision???

  • I dont know anthing about point shoes so Id like to know why gaynor minden shoes are considered 'cheater shoes'?

  • i think just because you don't need to break them in. no more beating the crap out of your brand new pointe shoes!

  • I can't wait till I'm en pointe!

  • are these pointe shoes or demi-pointe shoes

  • pointe shoes, i think!

  • pointe shoes, im just trying to show the demipointe position because I wasn't too happy with it in these shoes

  • woooo sweet feeet !

  • OMG!!! they are b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!! u are a really good dancer!!! i hope i can be as good as you someday! please comment my video so i can be like you=]

  • I have Gaynor minden shoes too, they're gooorgeous :)

You have such strength in your ankles, excellent! I have a slight issue with my left ankle, as it's a little weaker than my right, but I'm determined to see to that.

  • so u like gaynor minden shoes better then traditional shoes?

  • Yeah I think I do, but just for me personally, they fit me better then other pointe shoes.

  • your awesome.

  • good work! keep going! please go to my chanell and watch my slideshow! enjoy it and feel free to comment it

  • your very good at dancing!

  • thank you :)

  • you look like a very good dancer

  • I had Sahran demi's, and they SUCKED!! They died,,,,

    I like Gayn0r mindens, and Bl0ch is 0k, and very p0pular

  • these aren't demipointes/soft pointe shoes, these are regular gaynor minden pointes shoes in which i am rolling through the demi-pointe position.

  • amazing turnout!

  • superbe pointes

  • I've heard this is a good brand but ive never tried it...anybody got any insight about it?

  • omg yes they are fantastic!!!

  • I love mine. They come basically broken in. I'd recommend GMs for intermediate/advanced dancers because they're extremely durable. They are pre-arched, so that's why I think beginners should learn to use their own arches in different shoes before turning to GMs. =]

  • very pretty

  • this placelooks just like my house

  • haha, it's mine

  • beautiful**

  • you have beautifil feet and also rlly nice arches keep up the good dancing

  • please reply! what number box are those? also are they wide or medium??? thanks :) you have great arches and gaynors look great on you :) they are such a pretty shoe :)

  • i don't know the answer to those questions! I just went and got fitted. I know that they are the green/hard shank shoe

  • dont GM's have like this thing were you can go on half pointe rite away??? and like it never breaks... i have 2 get some hey look awsome on your feet by the way!

  • hi, can u request a floorpoint?

  • a what?

  • oh soz, a floorpoint is wen u have a leg out(or both) while ur sitting on the floor and u point your toes to see if they touch da ground. it'll show how flexible ur ancle is

  • i haven't danced in over a year, but if you still want a picture i can once i get my camera back

  • cool

  • whats the diffference between demi pointe shoes and pointe shoes??!?!

  • demi pointe shoes are soft pointe shoes. Usually there is no "pointe" in them, and the shank is either really really soft, or isn't in the shoe. You can buy them or just tear everything out of an old pair of pointe shoes; that's what I did (with my suffolks) I cut open the shoe, scraped the box out of it, and tore the shank out. You train in demipointes to get used to the feeling of pointe shoes!

  • You have such great arches! It was cool to see a video where there are no ribbons or elastics.

  • My pointe shoes died, have to order new ones b4 the competition

  • Hey :) Wonder if you can help me,, I watched your lovely video with your gawguss shoes and am now sure you can go up on demi pointes :). Because I've been getting mixed answers to the question if you go up on them or not. Some people say no you should't go up on them but I've seen lots of vids where peoople do :) see i've just ordered a pair and would be very sad if I wasn't supposed to go up on them :( please help :)

  • these aren't demi pointe shoes! They are gaynor minden pointe shoes, but I was trying to show demipointe in them, as in not fully going through to pointe, because I wasn't sure if demi was nice in them or not.

I don't think it's safe to go on pointe in demipointe shoes because they aren't made to be danced with en pointe! You can make your own demis by tearing the pointe out of a pointe shoe, or softening a point shoe to the point of not being able to go on pointe in them.

  • oh right ... woops ! :D x thanks xxx

  • well you should not go on your toes unless you have took ballet a long time and are now going to pointe class also

  • Doesn't your shoe falls off?

  • Those shoes are pretty!

  • hey please check out my videos! im having trouble getting fully on my box on my left foot! could you please comment with advice and tips :)

  • i'm not allowed to use my shoes at home only for class i start pointe next month that would be may

  • la parte migliore è stata la fine del video !

    BRAVAAAA!

  • 0:01

  • Not a good fit

  • So is demi pointe just on the ball of the foot?

  • yes

  • Okay, thank you

  • i waz thinking of getting gaynor minden pointe shoes but i have 2 know do they feel comfortable. if they are just tell me. thank you!!!<3<3

  • YES! they are great! but if they are you're first pair I wouldn't recommend them. because as many people call them 'cheater shoes' you should start on something else with out the pre-arch. like I started on Capezio's and now I can wear the 'yellow' grade shank Gaynor's where someone I know who started on Gaynor's can only wear the 'pink' grade.

  • nice =) I have used Gaynors for about 3 years now and I l-o-v-e them lol where do you dance? I dance and Jump Dance Center in Corona, CA

  • how old r u?

  • I was 16 when I posted the video, i'm 18 now

  • that was beautiful.. It looks like you are going to be a great ballerina someday

  • thank you! It's a shame that I stopped last june :( I miss it so much!

  • aww but ur so good! =( y did u stop?

i love the shoes on ur feet!

  • All shoes look different when they have ribbons and elastics on them. I know that got gaynor mindens and hated them once the ribbons were sewn on.

  • Really? Why is that?

  • I think it's because the foot pops out more of the shoe and the arch is free to pointe when there are no ribbons or elastics.

  • I see. So what kind of shoe do you like?

  • I prefer grishkos because they look good and fit my feet well.

  • That's fabulous! Ha, most of the girls in my class love Grishkos. I think they are very pretty. I like Freeds studio II.

  • I tried studio 2's but I couldn't get over the box all the way and they died really fast.

  • They do die fast but the fit my arch nicely.

  • are those a deep vamp or a regular vamp?

  • i'm not sure. i think theyre just regular

  • you really should have your elastics and ribbons sewed on before you work in them. you can really damage your feet.

  • those are soo pretty!!!!!!

  • which shank did u get ? extraflex?

  • those are the hard shank actually, that is why i was trying out the demipointe in them

  • that was good! just remember not to step into your pointe, but to rise into it. bad habits.

  • i couldn't properly rise onto pointe because the ribbons were not sewn on yet, the heels slipped off everytime i tried ;)

  • still, that's the pointe (haha punny)

  • Gaynor Mindens aren't that good for me. They do the work for you you. I have had five pairs of pointe shoes. I don't like them that much. But keep working hard!

  • So jealous! I bet you're an incredible dancer!

  • thank you! I miss it so much now. I stopped in june because of university taking over my life :(

  • great!

  • lord i love the color!

  • Those look really good on your feet.

  • girl you have great feet why are you wearing gaynors! get something a little harder it will make you stronger :) even though you already look strong. gaynors are more of a performance shoe. wear something harder in class that way it will amke you stronger. great job though and lord i wish i had your feet!

  • I have grishko 2007 and they work well for me. I'm no ballerina but I trained in ballet schools for the last several yrs and love dancing on pointe shoes. Just curious to know, since I don't know much about gaynor's, it seems that everyone I spoke to at my old school had nothing but gaynors and I just wanted a little more info on them. I've never tried them, but apparently it doesn't seem like they make your feet work as hard..?

  • yeah i wouldnt suggest it.

  • i actually would suggest them. your feet don't have to struggle to get up, as they allow the foot to easily spring up. i have noticed that it is much easier to do jumps and turns in them.

plus, if you are like me with size 7.5 foot, extremely wide but with a narrow heel, there are not many shoes that fit, gaynors are customizable so they fit to your foot exactly, and the material molds to your foot so its like they are made for your feet.

    plus they last forever.

i love love love my gaynors!!

  • and for strength, i just do more theraband exercises and releves

  • i know what you mean. there great for rolling up. but you dont have to use any muscle wearing them. u can use a theraband but its nothing compared to wearing hard pointe shoes.

  • your feet are so strong and amazing! you have really good arches. i know you probably already know this but DONT WEAR POINTES WITH NO RIBBION its soooo dangerous you could really damage your feet. but other than that well done they're amazing feet!

  • god they are so shiny!!

  • those shoes look a friken amazing!! i have the block b-morfs! there amazing!!!!!!

  • bei piedini

  • hey, juste leting you know that its not safe to wer pointe sheos with no ribbons on them. you can damage your feet. i don't want to seem mean. i just don't want girls to hurt themselves by not wearing ribbons

    =]

  • my friend is fuckin stupid! she got demi pointes, and shes never done ballet in her life! and now shes going up on pointe in them thinking shes a ballet pro!

  • those really are pretty shoes! I have tried them but they just aren't right for my feet :(

  • those shoes are gourges!

  • you should role through when you are going down too

  • Never use a pointe shoes without elastic and ribbons, its dangerous even if you just want to try.

  • That's rubbish, for rises and such, as long as you know when to pull the heel up before rising again, yeah I agree with you if it's constant echappe'ing but in this case it's perfectly safe if you know what you're doing

  • gm's are rele good shoes

  • They're cutting into you a bit..... also, get the ribbons on, and the elast. on the bright side, you have BEAUTIFUL arches and feet, im jelous!!!

    keep upj the good work!

    :)

  • which demi pointe shoes are mostly the best? blochs i here are horrible

    which is best?

  • I <3 Bloch

  • on ur left foot try to get up; on the full box! also u might wanna try making a video of pointe AFTER u sew on the ribbons and elastics

  • im getting gaynor mindens next week!!!!!

  • they are really bad shoes and the do NOT strengthen ur feet

  • Actually they strengthen your feet more as they're so soft, making your feet do all of the work rather than 'resting' on the vamp

  • sorry but ur totally wrong, what dance school do u go to anyways?

  • I meant shank not vamp. But I'm not, if they weren't safe they'd be taken out of production no?

You wouldn't know of it, it's a local one in my area, in the UK

  • someone's out stealing your videos

  • how did you get your ballet pointe shoes dead??? bcuz I had a new pair allready bbut they can´t be broken too easly plz response me!!

  • The shoes in this video aren't dead, they're brand new, thats the amazingness of GM's their unique structure

  • your feet and shoe go together amazingly! well done! but you could put ribbons on them to make your legs look stunning.

  • would you recommend gaynor minden pointe shoes?

  • Honestly, no. They are definately worth trying, but I've since discovered that I like Freed's.

  • what type of shank did you get? mine is hard or the green bag. i have a developed arch so thats why. but what kind did you get?

  • I had the hard shank too!

  • Very few need the hard shank. I have the extraflex! :) I love my Gaynor Mindens!

  • don't go en pointe without ribbons/elastics u can easily sprain/twist ur ankle girl

  • I know what you're saying but, they're new shoes in this video, she obviously hasn't had the time to get the ribbons on, and wants to try them out more, she's not doing anything complicated in this video, it's perfectly fine to do rises without ribbons

  • get those ribbons on!
