  • Just now beat this game. Awesome game with awesome music =)

  • I got this game for $5 because it was on sale for a day. Best $5 I ever spent.

  • chris cornell doing another bond song...

    oh no it's vgm =D

  • A narrative masterpiece with just as awesome music.

  • This reminds me of Thrice's more chill stuff. I really like it.

  • This game is incredible, game of the year for me.

  • Is it weird that this song reminds me of "Way to Fall" from MGS3?

  • @ifirit0 DUDE! I Had the SAME exact vibe!

  • so this is for the 360 eh? well, im a sony fan, but i gotta admit tht this song is now one of my favorites.

  • @Sweettooth1231 its on pc to.

  • This is without a doubt the best piece of Bastion! Original game, original story, wonderful soundtrack... a masterpiece!

  • I honestly didn't like this game.

Story and voice acting was nice, but everything else wasn't good IMO.

  • really loved the game. i'd love a bigger sequel but this one is perfectly fine as it is.

  • Definitely best game of the year for me.

  • I love this game. It has great art style, great music, and they integrated the story well. I'd recommend it.

  • This could easily be an 80s one hit wonder! XD

  • Amazing song! I haven't met this game ^^ but I liked the song.

  • I wish i had money to buy this.

  • Heh, I actually played through this yesterday. I do agree with the style over substance thing if I'm honest, I loved the music and the story and the narration, but the actual gameplay I found to be repetitive and a little lacking. Overall though, it was a great experience, and it's probably my favourite XBLA game this year.

  • Pretty much the best song on the album/in the game. Hands down. Great end theme. I feel the same about the style over substance. I felt they had a good game, but as an indie game goes, it's friggen amazing. Wished they took it further than what it was. 6.5 is a shameful score in comparison to some of the other indie games that were released around the same time as Bastion too, which it probably why it easily took Indie GOTY. No competition on the soundtrack though, one of the best I've heard :)

  • Met the people of SuperGiant Games at PAX Prime. Bought a signed copy of the OST and a Bastion bandana for $15. They were awful nice, and i can't wait to see what them and WB games put out next.

  • is that incubus? =0

  • nice song!

  • "Awesome combat, graphics and music. The rest? I wasn't a very big fan of."

So you mean to say you liked all of it?

  • @eishikibahamut He didn't include the story :)

  • >Reviews

Hah, though Destructoid seriously gave this a 6.5? There's a reason this game's getting indie awards across the board, y'know. I personally loved it a whole lot, and the music even moreso.

  • @DukeOnkledNukem No website is obliged to give a game the same freakin' score as every other website. Variety and opinions are beautiful things and even critics are allowed to have them.

  • @fiddlebender88 Well obviously, but my surprise comes from the fact that it's Destructoid of all things.

  • @DukeOnkledNukem Well, I agree with what Sterling said about the game and I believe indie developers should be treated equal as well. I don't want to let them get used to easy scores, that way they'll likely do better with their next projects :).

  • Finally! Bastion in this hall of fame!

  • best game since Boktai

  • Bastions plot's got a downright ridiculous amount of depth for how it's presented and the game's overall brevity. Like how, as you learn more about the Ura-Caelondia tensions, you realize that Zia's song is actually one long threat from Ura to Caelondia.

  • i just love Bastion and everthing about it

  • I LOVE YOU.

  • This is a great song, although Zia's Theme stood out much more for me... Much like Chill, I expect to see Zia's Theme get added soon please... :)

  • I think the game had good gameplay, awesome art and godly music, but the selling point for me was the narration. I always liked when someone told me a story when i was a kid (and still do) so it was two of my fav things in one. Video games, and story being told (with a sexy voice)

  • Wow. I literally finished this game like 10 minutes ago.

Fantastic song, really great ending and I love how NewGame+ is actually incorporated into the narrative mechanics.

  • This song is pretty awesome.

  • One of my favorite games, not the best game, but definitely a favorite

  • What made the game awesome? It´s music, even if you don't have an interest in the game you should play it just because of the music.

  • Is this the song that got Best Song from the 2011 Spike VGA's?

  • @MegaFinalRound No, it was "Build That Wall", another song from the Bastion soundtrack

  • @ItsShinyTime Thanks. Nice, I just found out that this game is available on the Google browser. Wow, that is epic!

  • A nice indie game with awesome combat, graphics and music. The rest? I wasn't a very big fan of. Most people will disagree with me (it's getting a lot of Indie GOTY), but I just found the game had the "style over substance" problem. It felt like a great tech demo for something that could be truly amazing, a big RPG without those isolated labyrinths made of corridors and very basic puzzles. Destructoid's review is pretty much dead on for me, though I wouldn't go as low as giving it 6.5.

  • @SupraDarky No mention of its story? The bastion added a cool meta to the game that affected both difficulty and your objectives. I think this can easily be regarded up there with Cave Story and is much more of a praiseworthy game than minecraft

  • @SupraDarky BTW: You put your little "SupraDarky's Favorite VGMs" line in a bad spot. It is sorta on the Bastion Soundtrack logo.

  • @SupraDarky Sums up my thoughts perfectly. Not just for this but a whole lot of the undiscovered games genre. They're all really good, but just because it's slick, artsy, different graphical style, and odd music, doesn't mean it's the greatest game ever. I'd give GOTY to Zelda SS myself. If not for being a massive, deep, and brilliant Zelda game, then for doing what the gaming industry has been attempting for almost over 20 years...motion gaming done right.

  • @SupraDarky You say it has awesome combat, graphics and music, what did you actually dislike about it? The story, or maybe it was all linear and too short? Just curious as I'd love to play this and the music is making me want to play it even more.

By the way, thanks for the upload!
