  • 40 million dollars worth of tv AT A STADIUM! thats incredibly stupid...who pays for tickets to a game to watch it on a giant tv? i know it gives a close up of the action but you can get that on your tv at home. They should have made this lower to the ground and used it for a huge movie screen, or to play videogames on...now that would be a practical and way cooler use of it

  • I don't get. It's amazing, really big, but at a stadium? So, will they broadcast the game people paid to see live, at the stadium?

So, will it be "Here we are, at the stadium, watching the game at the big as TV they have". It's kinda lame, people pay to see the players in real, not in a TV screen,

  • thats funny, only 4 inches on my screen... :)

  • is this bigger than one on Charlotte Motor speed way in NC?

  • @simhopp Nope, that one is the biggest now.

  • Gee I forgot all about this. You might want to learn how to spell. You just proved my point. I wish you the best. Professional sports is what's wrong with America. The particiipants are over praised over paid and produce nothing of any value. Keep turning left my friend.

  • 40 million for a bid screen tv maybe it's just me but maybe 40 million could go to something better...

  • @titusville4life like 500 smoking hot cheerleaders?

  • @titusville4life nothing is better than 60 feet tv :D

  • ima steal it and make mi house bigger ! :P

  • Imagine Call of duty?!?!? WOW

  • it will be interesting, with the new temporary do over rule, as to how many times during the superbowl a play will be ruled a do over due to the ball hitting that monstrosity of a tv . i understand jerrys feeling that it forces the kicker to kick it down field more with out the hang time that alot of kickers like to get into thier footballs, but its the kickers choice if he wanted to kick it high or more down field. all jerrys stubborness shows is his strong view against kicking high.

  • @rick16407 I think It's only happened once during a game in 2 years, It's an issue, but not nearly as big as most are saying.

  • @rick16407

....Its 90 feet in the air

  • Best Stadium, the HD big screen is the best, GOOD JOB MR.JONES....

  • Correction: Landry winning LONG BEFORE Jerry came along and fired him.

  • I want bigger.

  • @UnonymaJens you would, faggot

  • Can i play Super Street Fighter 4 in this screen plz?

  • i would throw things at it

  • Jareski,

    Tool.

Go comment on the worlds largest dam in china that has displaced millions of people or the worlds largest building in Dubai. Worlds largest mall? Dubai. Worlds largest indoor ski resort. In the middle of the desert in Dubai. And your gonna put down Dallas and the US for wasting resources?

    Your a tool.

  • FUCK YEA! GO USA USA USA!

  • THere's a war, you guys are aware of that, right?

  • What a waste. This is why humanity will fall, doing stupid shit like this. Good job for wasting all those resources and money on a TV. Yay America!

  • @jareski It's Jerry's money. Let him do whatever the fuck he wants to do with it. Don't you do what you want to do with your money? Why don't you just fuck off.

  • Chesapeake is trying to drill a dozen wells within 3,000 ft of the Cowboy Stadium. That would truly be an evacuation nightmare if a spill or an explosion occured while there was an event. Notice how an air monitoring system is NOT in the Entertainment District? On the Gas Drilling Ordinance, there are no mandates for vapor recovery systems and air quality is last on their list. Also there have been no independant air and water tests so far. UTArlington has drilled 22 wells on the campus

  • screw the game throw on some porn

  • So this is what, like twice the size of an IMAX screen?

  • wow if i had a wall in my house, that was that big, NO, i can use the screens as walls for my house

  • Sport fields are becoming the next place kinda like movie theaters, except just television sports o-O

  • We the who Dat nation will be playing in there for superbowl 45 ! Go saints !!!

  • damn i wish "michael bay"(the director for transformers) would let the owner's of the stadium show the new superbowl commercial for transformers 3.Well when the movie comes out in summer 2011.

  • imagine watching a bluray movie on that... just dim down the lights and relax..

  • Mines bigger

  • Thats insane!!!! saw it first when watching the n.b.a all star game DAMM just make you wanna buy a cheap seat ticket or nose bleed ticket lol imagein playing M.W 2 on it

  • Hdmi?

  • Simply The Best

  • one of these days (god forbid) that thing is going to fall on the players

  • your right. if i was a player, i would be scared if that happens.

    Hope it doesnt

  • Wow... way to predict such a horrible event happening you downer.

  • Look, if you look carefully you can see a dead pixel...

  • @Deworke212

I'm pretty sure the city of Arlington had to vote on the taxes. I believe the official numbers were: 1/2 a percent raise in city tax, hotel occupancy tax raised 2 percent and the rental car tax was raised 5 percent.

But, yeah, I'd be pretty pissed if I lived in Arlington and didn't like the Cowboys. However, that seems kinda rare. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought the Cowboys are to Texas like the Red Sox are to Massachusetts/New England.

  • @xSHADOWGIANTx

I would be pissed too if I paid so much money for this stadium, and knowing the fact that the cowboys will always be the red headed step child for the Vikings.

  • Your an idiot. the vikings are fucking pathetic. You make it to the nfc championship one year and you think you even close to the level we are on???? You have a whitetrash stadium for a whitetrash populous haha

  • @allpeeps4me

im a steeler fan, and we have more superbowl trophies then y'all.

  • yea but you played in asterikbowl 40, the worst officiated superbowl in the history of the NFL

  • Yea this totally defeats the purpose of getting tickets to actually go and watch at the stadium.

  • naw i bet it looks way better on those big screens and plus you can drink and be a fan and watch all the extras

  • hahaha whats the point of going to a game now?? might as well stay home and watch it on tv...lol

  • I've never been in Texas but do they really need an indoor stadium?

  • @MrDomo66 when you have a 100 foot screen, probably best to protect it any way you can

  • for football no, but the stadium is not only for football they want to use it year round for basketballs concerts boxing fights etc. so some of those events need a closed stadium.

  • imagine it drops! wouldnt mind playing on live on that. boom headshot

  • pacquiao vs clotty march 13

  • Check out my video! I recorded the tv experiencing technical difficulties lol.

  • Imagine playing inFamous on that screen. :O

  • Damm hope Mayweather and Pacquiao fight der

  • i live by the cowboys stadium and everytime i see it im in aww. i love the big screens cause now i can see the game. you go for the experience, no one actually goes to look at the actual game when everyone on the field looks like little ants

  • its a bit silly...you paid to see the match and you end up watching it on telly anyway?

  • Well.. someone had to...

  • its freakin awesome ....

  • goooooooooooooo cowboys yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • lets hop off Jones's balls here fellas its not like he gets handed money he does work hard.. so he can do what he wants with his money.. So you telling me you would give away your own money to help others i dont think so

  • I have and do. It's a responsibility.

  • Seriously!!! We are fucked up. People out there with no food , healthcare and no homes and we have some greedy fuck building a monument to this, Welcome to Rome.

  • Taking things a little to seriously there aging hippy liberal douche

  • who cares lol

  • USA - A OK

  • A true monument to all the Bullshit in America. This is why America is all fucked up. Millions spent on this shit. Football? That's what's important? Millions out of work, no money for wounded Vets, everything falling apart , sickness and chaos and this is what we think we need here in America. A house for braindead Sports Moron America. We deserve what we get.

  • ....all people want is to take their minds off the shit in this world...and the shit will NEVER go away...!! why would you deny the people who love football or the people who simply look and wonder....if you cant have simple things like this to take peoples overbuerden minds of this life...your worse than hitler or osama binladen..!! shut the fuck up and let the people decide what THEY want...asshole!!

  • That's the problem fool!! They always want to take their minds off what's important. That's why this country is all fucked up. Everybody wants to take their mind off the problems. Football what a joke. I played sports all my life. What do you win asshole? Sports, the drug of the American Idiot. Dumbasses playing a kids game. Getting over paid and over praised producing nothing of any value. This what runs the country, People with money with the I.Q of a brick. Go open another bag of Fritos.

  • It's not as bad as Olympics infrastructure. And it's worldwide.

  • Oh yea, you got that right. Sports are important if you play them. But we have made it a drug. A drug that numbs the mind while the powers that be stick a hot pipe up your ass while your wondering about the Yankees. Most of these yokels can't even afford to pay the parking at a joint like this. They're all losing thier jobs but it's still go Cowboys. Really Really frightning.

  • its jerry jones money he can do what he wants with it, if he wants to build and excessively tv, then go for it. just like if you want to buy a new ps3, 360 etc... nobody needs those things but people want them and they are spending there own money how they wish. and if u think about it he helped the economy there by putting money back into the economy, you are right the economy is shit. but the government has nothing to do with this.

  • your're right the gov't doesn't. We have over 20% unemployment here in the south in some places. Salaries are worse than they were in the 70's and we're all expected to fall down and worship a bunch of overgrown idiots throwing a ball or whatever. You're average person can't even afford the parking at these places. It shows how wastefull and dumb we've become here. We don't get it.

  • Fvantagio15:

You seem to also forget that the city of Arlington owns 1/2 of that stadium along with Jerry

  • not including that, the staium is on Arlington's property

  • right on if you love the cowboys you understand they just wish their stadium was like the one built for the boys

  • thats right if they loved the cowboys they would understand they just wish that thier stadium was like the boys

  • @zinnington What a whiny lil bitch you are. I bet your a bleedin heart liberal vag on a stick. Sad.

PS Sorry Jerry Jones but your TV is no longer the biggest. The biggest HD TV is now in Charlotte where I work. Cry me a riiiiiver.

  • that screen is gonna be busted by next week

  • I'm a Brit and have no idea about this,so can someone tell me did the Cowboys pay for this?

Would seem a very strange use for tax dollars if not

  • Jerry Jones, the Cowboy's owner, bought it. He's rich.

  • wtf do u know about american tax dollars shitface

  • Yeah you british cocksucker

  • Oil money and tax dollars

  • If he has the money for it why not? Not to mention how much income he brings to the state of Texas.

  • thank you Dshaw, i mean the cowboys could bail the US out of the bad economy themselves

  • Our country in is debt. Schools can't afford stuff. Obama bailing out stores/businesses. But some how and in some places people say Obama is helping this country. Every student in schools are getting there own laptops. We're building huge ass TV?

  • listen to all the "green" people cry about the earth.... lol

  • So is this a pure out-of-pocket expense for the Dallas area homeless shelters or will they see some revenue from the ticket sales?

Just kidding. That was mean. Congrats, Dallas residents on the cool big screen. I hope it came with a warranty.

Anyone who supports this is stealing from homeless people.

  • How do you go about stealing from homeless people?

I mean since they have so much and all.

  • Only kidding! Those homeless shelters are awful anyway. If this stadium could employ a couple hundred people to clean the place they'd probably come out ahead.

OMIGOD THAT STADIUM COSTS SO MUCH TAXPAYER MONEY!

"The City of Arlington provided over $325 million" for construction.

Fortunately JJ came out ahead. I mean, he actually increased his huge net worth while everyone else was hemorrhaging money! So I don't feel so bad for the Arlington schoolchildren who are being denied healthcare.

  • "or watching a playe rlike Eli Manning or Justin Tuck like nobody's seen it." is what Jerry should have said.

  • FUCK THE COWGIRLS!!! GO GIANTS!!

  • why do we have to conserve SO MUCH electricity and then they build this 2 million lightbulb screen...... WTF

  • fuck the cowboys and the biggest fuckhole owner of 'em all. i pray the giants ruin the debut of this new homeground of jones' ego.

  • The Cowboys have to build a big stadium to try to make up for their terrible team.

  • Simply put.......Edward Van Halen rocks..

  • pssssssssssh bigger tv in my room... jk lol

  • this sunday the ball is goin to hit the screen nd fall nd kill the giants nd cowboys... go steelers!

  • thats what youre hoping for cause thats the only way the steelers will be able to win the superbowl this year

  • lol

  • jones is a wad...boys will be losers until he splits da scene..ha ha....

  • Whats wrong with him? They won how many SB under him? Wouldnt you like to work for a guy who spends this much money where you work?

  • man fuck them cowboy haterzzzzz!!! we the best team in the world and they aint nuhin u can do bout it

  • Best team i the world? Shouldnt the best team in the world have won a playoff game within the last 15 years?

  • won't the punts hit the screen , like every time

  • pffft whats the point in watching the actual play when you have this

  • Such a stupid idea. I wonder how many more punts are gonna hit that thing

  • What's wrong with punts hitting it? I think its hilarious and gives the Cowboys an advantage. Because their punter will be accustomed to the huge screen in his way.

  • Amazing engineering design. That was the best job I have seen is huge.

  • THE DO-OVER STADIUM™

  • This is really amazing and the Cowboys would have a successful season, ending up with another Superbowl

  • Going to a football stadium to watch the game on a big screen is kinda like going to a movie theater only to read the book.

  • that shit is crazy. from an oklahoman who hates texas.

  • Well, atleast they replaced that old staduim. Irving stadium everytime they did an airial view looked like a toilet bowl with the back half cut off. Then you looked down in the center you saw all the turds, the cowboys, cowboy cheerleaders, the cowboy fans. Just a point from a long time Redskins fan.

  • Now there will not be any cheating in Dallas and the Reffs have a big screen to make sure the Cowboys are not cheating ... Green Bay Packer fan for 22+ years

  • ITS TRUE<EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS!! DALLAS COWBOYS DRUG MONEY!!!GOT THEM THAT SCREEN lol

  • Looking forward to seeing the Giants beat up on dallas for the next few years in this great stadium. Should be fun

  • will it fit in a living room...

  • The size of a living room. Or a house, for that matter!

  • If you ever wonder why people above the mason-dixon line make so many jokes about Texas...

  • screens too big...footballs gonna hit that thing left and right all season by punters

NFL will eventually over ride jerry jones and knock him off his fuckin high horse. i hate jerry jones...hes the epitamy of rich assholes who are going to hell. he probly sold his soul to the devil to get that rich...wouldnt suprise me

    evil little fucker...lol

  • Don't hate because you're broke! I bet you wish you had a horse as high as his you jelous little turd!

  • wow ur country....

  • actually NFL told him it was ok where the TV was... So if anyone is to blame its the NFL...

  • thank you

somebody who actually knows the WHOLE story.

  • 40 million dollar tv... AWESOME!!!!!!! It really is 40 million lol

  • I read online about a football hitting that screen just recently.

  • such a huge fucking waste of money

how many starving children in YOUR OWN GOD DAMN CITY could you have fed for the ammount you wasted on that piece of shit

  • well, it's called competing with other football stadiums you dumbass

  • I agree with feeding hungry children but this is not the goverments money, I think. If it was then it should of been used for something like healing hunger.

  • But imagine how horny it will make all the football fans when someone makes a touchdown on that huge muthafucka. I'd say the pros outweigh the cons.

  • The stadium alone probably created 1000's of jobs feeding many of mouths. Not to mention that it will easily boost the local economy. Especially when the superbowl is played in it. Think before you speak jack ass...

  • Comment removed

  • stadium is sweet, but take out the big screen and move to the end zone ends, and if the roof is retractable will there be a big fat sun glare so no one can even see the screen? But anyways go COWBOYS!!!

  • i heard the punter hit it twice.. lmao... fucking idiots...

  • I Soooo wanna play Gears of War on that Holiest of HD TV screens...

  • I want to watch porn on that screen, lol.

  • that's ugly, it defeats the purpose of going to actually watch the game

  • I hear ya.

  • The cowboys couldnt even beat the raiders at a scrimage. The Raiders are good. (dont get me wrong.) but they have alot of rebuilding to do. They lost one of the better players out at sea last spring.

  • lol it was a preseason game you fucking moron. Anyways as i recall the "starters" you know the people who actually play beat the raiders 7-3

  • the radiers are rebuilding. they lost some good players. even had a funeral for one of their better players. the had more opening day pride, then the cowboys did for their new stadium. both were exciting, but the dedication to the lost raider was more pontent.

  • I've never seen so much intangible bull shit in one comment.

"they had more opening day pride"

    Biggest bullshit I've ever heard.

  • Comment removed

  • ok nutty professor. call it the sudden death syndrome if you wish. I wish i had all day to explain the dynamics of how the mind functions when emotions motivate. but i dont have that time. I reconciled my diffrences with Tony Romo anyways. I dont know the futire, if i did i would play the lotto every week.

  • "there will be people in the board on gameday."

    Damn...

  • DAMMNNN. that thing is ccrrazzyyyyy

  • dallas sucks. they wont make the playoffs again...

  • wow im gonna go pay 5,000 dollars to go watch a game on the screen i rather stay home and watch the game at my house.

  • How much does it cost for seats? It's not really 5grand is it?

  • Xbox? Just think of the game of Pong you could play on that thing!

  • but what happens if it hit the players

  • holy SHIT ONA STICK!

  • i wish it had a xbox 360 game port laying cod 4 hell yea

  • that is fucking awesome

  • Comment removed

  • still wont help them win a playoff game

  • Cowboy haters make me laugh.

Let me guess.....All of you that gave a thumbs up to the playoff game comment fit this mold. You are a Yankee fan, A Laker fan, a Patriot fan and you live in Iowa.

  • @mizuno291 I don't live in Iowa but I'm sure it beats Tex-ass.

  • drooling!!

  • THe ultimate porn TV

  • He says 60 feet wide and 72 feet tall... its clearly wider than it is tall. What is he talking about?

  • 160 feet long?

sounds like the sound is cut off.

  • It's 60 yards wide. He probably doesn't know the difference.

  • dam thats big

  • biggest indoor complex of man kind

  • Wrestlemania 27 in 2011???

  • Damn..that DOES seem like a Wrestlemania place. Good thinking! :)

  • Their next playoff loss will look great on it!

  • You know, even with a decade-plus playoff win drought, the Cowboys still have more playoff wins than every other team in the NFL. And many of them have been around decades longer than the Cowboys have. Hate on, hater.

  • Keep remembering Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett and the rest of us will live in the present.
