I'm not sold just yet. This is cool and all but, really nintendo? You marketed ocarina of time how many "times"? N64. Gamecube, Wii Console... and now the 3DS. But don't worry its in 3D! We also added Boss battle rush mode and a new way to equip your items!

Incidentally, the sequel to Ocarina of Time is called The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
Although it's gameplay is quite a bit different[3-days to save the world, uses a song to reverse time and save, tons of side-quests, transforming into a Deku Scrub, Goron, and Zora to solve puzzles, and using many new items, songs, and tons of masks to solve puzzles and side-quests], it's still a very incredible game that I also highly recommend.
Please try giving some information for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon game for 3DS cause I might pick it up and I want to know what I'm going to buy... Please... If you do thank you... Please... Really need the info...

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge M.Bison fan but Dead or Alive Dimensions is gonna be better than Street Fighter 4 because the levels are bigger and you can fight in different areas of the levels. Plus you've got hotter chicks :3

@TotalDramaKids the 3d screen is a gimmick. I can't see the 3d really being a big thing for games. it's hard to really see the 3d effect when playing, and isn't really put to good use by game makers. I also think if gamers can turn the 3d effect off, maybe the 3d screen would be a waste for most ppl. Do programmers develop the games with the 3d effect in mind or is it just there to add some effect if users want it?
@portalplayer They have been programming with the 3d in mind for sure. It looks amazing. I feel bad for you if your eyes can't really see the 3d effect. It is as impressive as the difference between a 2d and 3d platformer.

@AcidRain1337 all the 3ds games have just average graphics. it can't even run Unreal Engine 3 or the Crytek engine. an ipod touch can run those engines, u can get an 8 gig ipod touch 4th gen, and that has more horsepower than the 3ds. in a few years when cellphones get more and more powerful, they will make the 3ds look dumb.
@Nintendo3DS i think they made a mistake by not making the DS 2 capable of 360 graphics, instead of the 3d effect. It can easily be done for cheap. an ipod touch 4th gen 8gb costs 200 bucks which has more graphics power than a 3ds that costs 250. the itouch can do a lot more with full browser, calculator, email, calender, and more.

And the most powerful consoles don't win, like, ever. Otherwise the PS2, Wii and DS wouldn't have been raging successes.
@Nintendo3DS Actually you can atleast for handhelds, because they are all consoles being sold on the market, the 3DS might be a generation ahead but its still competing with the PSP and iPod, they aren't in a market segment of their own. The PS2 still sells to this day and people do compare it to the PS3 and 360. Naturally older hardware will become ever less popular. A powerful console doesn't make a good console but it sure can help it be one, and can aid making games better.

Nintendo could've beefed up the hardware and still made a profit. it's just lame as hell to think that an Apple ipod can run Unreal Engine 3 and crytek and a dedicated handheld from a games company cant.

Wow! Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games 3DS looks really good, actually. Looks like a Wii game (or at least a GameCube game). Finally developers show the 3DS hardware. There are so many games on the 3DS right now that still look like DS games: Asphalt 3D, Rayman 3D, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars and so on! Probably the only ones I've played that don't look like DS games are Nintendogs + Cats, Pilotwings Resort, Street Fighter and PES.

@Nintendo3DS i think they made a mistake by not making the DS 2 capable of 360 graphics, instead of the 3d effect. It can easily be done for cheap. an ipod touch 4th gen 8gb costs 200 bucks which has more graphics power than a 3ds that costs 250. the itouch can do a lot more with full browser, calculator, email, calender, and more.

No reason to do what the competition is doing? Sure they have their first parties but that's unacceptable.
The 3DS specs are pretty underwhelming. Not too impressed by sales either, the PS3, DS, 360 and PSP are outselling it.

@jaggedspikerespawn But you can't compare the sales of a new console to the sales of older consoles. That's like saying the PS3 was doomed because the PS2 outsold it for months after it was released. And the most powerful consoles don't win, like, ever. Otherwise the PS2, Wii and DS wouldn't have been raging successes.

@Nintendo3DS Actually you can atleast for handhelds, because they are all consoles being sold on the market, the 3DS might be a generation ahead but its still competing with the PSP and iPod, they aren't in a market segment of their own. The PS2 still sells to this day and people do compare it to the PS3 and 360. Naturally older hardware will become ever less popular. A powerful console doesn't make a good console but it sure can help it be one, and can aid making games better.

maybe nintendo could've taken the guts of the ipod 4th gen and put it in the nintendo 3ds, then 3ds games wont look so dated. Apple is able to make a profit on selling the ipod 4th gen 8 gig model for 200, yet nintendo charges 250 for 3ds that can't even do half of what the ipod touch can.

@portalplayer The iPod Touch can't do 3D without glasses though. And that's the whole point. Nintendo is intend on fighting in uncontested markets. Why fight alongside the PSP and the iPod Touch in the realm of mere tech specs when they can do something completely different and have no real competition in the space they choose to go after? It may not be for you, fine. Ignore it. Nintendo has their business strategy. And it works. As a company, that is all that matters.

@Nintendo3DS the ipod touch has more powerful guts than the 3DS, it can handle a 3D screen tacked on top of it. nintendo's costs to make the 3ds is $100, but it doesnt include R&D and other stuff. Nintendo could've beefed up the hardware and still made a profit. it's just lame as hell to think that an Apple ipod can run Unreal Engine 3 and crytek and a dedicated handheld from a games company cant.

@portalplayer 3ds is much better than a ipod. on a little ipod can you play zelda,metroid, or pokemon? no you cant because apple lets average joes make games that only last you up to an hour.

@portalplayer I stand corrected. Sorry, but blame Nintendo. They said they couldn't put a 3D touch screen, so that's why there is no 3D on the bottom screen. :/ Probably just a poor excuse to make the profit margins bigger. :( I feel deceived.

@portalplayer You can't just tack a 3D screen on it though. They're expensive, so unless you're going to make it a central feature, like it is with the 3DS, it'd be a dumb move.

@portalplayer You are a n00b! Take a look at best PSP game and then take a look at Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D! The 3DS is WAY better than any portable out right now! If the 3DS only had one screen and the same insides the it would have better graphics! Thats why the iPod touch 4g has better graphics! 1 screen not 3! (yes the 3DS has 3 screens)

@stratisfire The iPod touch 4g has the Retina Display which is pretty damn close to having HD. The 3DS doesnt support HD but it does support pretty amazing graphics. And yes i ow both the 3DS and the iPod Touch 4g. Have you ever played them!?

@portalplayer The iPod is not primarily a gaming device while the 3DS is. The iPod is first and foremost a music player. I'd take BUTTONS over these alleged "better graphics" any day. I don't see how people can play a game while covering a good portion of the screen up with their fingers.

@portalplayer The system barely came out; therefore, it will lack games. It's always like this whenever a new console comes out, so, it's no surprise. Plus, you can just get the DS games like Dragon Quest 9, GTA, and any great DS titles to fill out the time before the big titles comes out.

Wow! Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games 3DS looks really good, actually. Looks like a Wii game (or at least a GameCube game). Finally developers show the 3DS hardware. There are so many games on the 3DS right now that still look like DS games: Asphalt 3D, Rayman 3D, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars and so on! Probably the only ones I've played that don't look like DS games are Nintendogs + Cats, Pilotwings Resort, Street Fighter and PES.
