.....contd...But more importantly, the ISO tests don't look that good above 400. It's a shame Sony didn't keep the 16.1 mpixels of the 5N (which has amazing ISO, picture quality etc) instead of opting for 24 mpixels. I would have gone for the 5N but I want the built in viewfinder, hope I haven't made a big mistake.

I've ordered one. Hopefully it will arrive soon. Great video Steve, very useful. I've been looking at different reviews and ISO tests. The two things that I'm a bit worried about are: it's meant to be very easy to knock the EV dial so that it's important to check exposure compensation before shooting. ....contd...

@drawab1 Originally, they told me December. then end of January, then maybe mid-February. The last time I talked to my camera-store they said maybe April. If Fuji bring out a version of the X100 with interchangeable lenses or a lens similar to the X10 before then, I will cancel my order and buy a Fuji.

Thanx for this review Steve!!! I have two short questions what do you X the lens mm to get the true mm values for this cam? also i work exclusively with raw, how did you find the performance (speed) of the nex 7 when using raw? will lightroom read the nex 7 raw images?

I wish it had IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization). The use of legacy lens (considering the limited number of Sony lens) would benefit greatly from it.

You started video with 14% battery life and in just 20 min. without much snap it went down to 6%?

Did you do the shooting more than that and edited later ?

If Not, I don't think that's a decent battery life.

Sony says that using the electronic first curtain with older lenses could lead to wrong light measurement. This is the reason why you can turn it off. Especially because the older minolta lenses fit on the Alphas without any problems, they implemented the option to turn it off.

Steve - Have you noticed a significant difference in battery life between the Nex-5N and the Nex-7? I'm a little concerned that the EVF may shorten battery life.

@amosjsoma Hmmm. Well, I shot it last night for two hours straight, never turning off the camera. Using the LCD and EVF and shot about 200 images. The battery still had 45% left.

This camera appears to be a game changer but between the body and that nice Leica we are talking nearly FF DSLR pricing. On the other hand it is much less than a M9. Guess I have to get to work.............

My bad; Zeiss E-Mount. Isn't that about $1000? Add the NEX-7 ($1100 or so) and you are at $2100 List. I mentioned that being close to a FF but that is still $400 less than a 5D III might cost (body only). OK; I think I'll just slowly wander off now.......
