My favourite Doctor Who line ever has got to be at the end of Matt Smith's first episode where he says to Amy "So.. all of time and space, everthing that has ever happened or ever will, where do you want to start?". I don't know why but it is such a good line!

You're the kinda person I hate that sits there and judges straight up before seeing a story first with Matt in it. I bet that Matt will be just as popular as David. It's just a frikken promo ffs. Don't be so judgmental. Every time a new actor comes along, people get all uptight about it, but then, after the 1st or 2nd story, we start to love'em :)

It might be the highest grossing movie, but that doesn't mean that everyone has seen it. I've had friends ask me if I have seen it when it was on at the cinemas constantly. David Tennant was probably the best Doctor Who if they had left it the end of season 4..but the specials killed it...it was obvious they ran out of ideas and had nowhere to go..which is really sad. I'm very excited with Matt Smith because it will be a fresh writing team and a new spin.

I'm all up for giving Matt Smith a chance seeing as I adore the show but this trailer makes the new series look completely watered down and makes me think twice :'( .....to be honest I preferred Russell's stories better. I don't have a thing against Matt Smith, it's Steven Moffat I've got a problem with...that's just my opinion though.

I think Matt Smith is going to be a great Doctor and he will be liked when the series starts. But hes not going to be as good as David Tennant. This is not just my view but many of my friends views as well.

I think that's a bit harsh to say. I mean, sure, there are other actors out there, brilliant and funny and intense and ... well, whatever you would want an actor to be. But if Matt really makes the better Doctor no one can tell yet. It WILL be difficult for him, following David, and I am all for giving him a chance, but I don't think that this sudden trend "David wasn't all that great, Matt is way better" is really justifiable yet.
