Wow...this is the only version I knew as a kid. Use to entertain the entire gymnasium full of kids every morning by singing this and dancing. Mention Mini Pops though and hardly anyone knws what you're talking about... :-(

Is it just me or do the voices sound like adult voices sped up to sound like kids? I found the record and put it into the computer, lowered the pitch in an audio editing program, and it sounds more like an older woman singing. I dunno, just a thought.

The song was written by Neil Sedaka and Howie Greenfield from a guy's perspective. Connie Francis asked them for randoms, and they decided on a lark to play it for her, making her the first woman to have a bona fide rock hit, albeit poppy. Why the French go for stuff like this and a rapping baby (and I lived there for a couple years), I will never understand.
