Jaco had Bi-Polar disorder which was the cause of his turmoil, drug usage & drinking. His bout with the disorder was partially the cause of his death. A knuckle head overzealous bouncer killed him. We lost a great talent & one hell of a muscian. Not many know this cat started out as a drummer.

Wow. I'm just amazed at how Jaco can really groove... I'm just learning how to play teentown, but this version blows my mind away. Very inspiring, I don't care about whatever problems in life he might have had, it's the music that he left behind that makes us remember him as the great bass player he is. Peace.
