Thanks for your answer! It's actually the question I asked myself, so you added a song. In your opinion, where can I find the score partition today? I'm really passionate by your interpretation. My e-mail adress is : eurydice.bled@esc-pau.net. Best regards and congratulations. Eurydice
Congratulation for this interpretation... sublime! Did you find this piano song in a book of miklos rozsa or did your compose it? Thank you for your answer.
Thanks for your kind comment. The most of music I played here was from piano folio published by Robbins Music at the time of the film's release (back in 1962 or 63) I had to add the beginning and the ending to imitate the sound track.
Easily your best---check Rosza's scores for "FEDORA", "ASPHALT JUNGLE" and "SODOM & GOMORRAH" all here on YouTube. Good show---I've used links to your Rosza_For_Piano on flickr pages for old movie stars---I prefer the collections of _Truus, Bob & Jan too!_: go to flickr.com and enter that name in the Search box, myposts are in the collections '50-'60s and '30-40s.
Just like Battal Gazi,in many Turkish movies these theme songs were used without permission during the 1970's.And at the end of these movies the composers' names werent listed.Thats why we remember Battal Gazi when we hear El-Cid song.
İn Battal Gazi Movies El Cid and Ben Hur were the theme songs which made Battal Gazi Series more exciting and epic... l learnt this later ,l didnt know that Miclos Rozsa was the composer of these two masterpiece and it made me surprised to know that they are at least 50 years old songs..
Mr.Yamamshu , you really are playing good and l wonder how you read those notes and play it at the same time... it s a joy to listen to you playing the piano. Wish l knew how to play it as better as you do.. but unfortinately l dont have such a capability..
:)) somepeople in my country suppose that this music was created for Battal Gazi. But it belongs to El Cid as yamamshu says. Anyway, It is just perfect ;)
I am curious - To whom that Battal Gazi music is credited to? I looked the film's opening credit on Youtube, but I did not see Miklos Rozsa's name (The real composer of this music) anywhere.!
Turkish film "Battal Gazi" was made in 1971 while "El Cid" came out in 1961. I haven't seen the Turkish film but if this music was used in it, I can safely guess who borrowed from whom.
wow that is beautiful you can realy feel this piece .

Great job!!!!! He obviously knows what he's doing. This song sort of reminds me of Zorro with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
