it's sad that musicians doubt allow God to build their craft, they should have been in their hymns, that's the true gospel music, it's evident that all they know are patterns and not the songs themselves. you don't know where you are going unless you know where you have been...
That may be true Elder79, but these songs are very old and, unfortunately, the majority of the younger generation isn't familiar with these songs. In most mainstream churches, you don't hear this music any more. And while that's fine, it's always good to know where we come from. You may know these songs, but many don't and haven't even sang from a hymnal. So essentially, Bishop went way back. For those of us who are familiar, it is a joy to be able to identify with this style of worship.
This is true this new age church, you know the do what you want church. The church that brings the night club into the church. In my church I will not allow such a thing. God is yet real, he is not something we should play with. We should impact the world not the world impact the church.
Please know that Bishop has lost weight and size due to cancer, but God has healed, just listen to the strength in his voice. He's back and preaching with a strong anointing.
At Overseer Norman hairston's father funeral Bishop was there and spoke, it was there that he said that he was pleased to report that he was now cancer free after three surgeries. I will see if there is a tape, please ask your Bishop did he say such, it could be that all of you arent privy to his personal information just as we there was not privy to until he revealed his business. Why dont you ask Bishop Dukes, he was there as well!
Correction Bishop does not have cancer he is not sick by any means. By being a Presiding Bishop of a great fellowship of churches he has changed his diet everytime a person who has been of a heavy size losses some pounds it's because of an illness.....!!!!!!!!! He lost the wieght to be able to continue more healthy than he already was
the year of 2004 when Archbishop J. Delano Ellis had him to replace him as Presiding Bishop of United Pentecostal Churches of Christ. However, Bishop Trotter changed the name from United Pentecostal Churches of Christ to United Covenant Churches of Christ, which Archbishop Ellis didn't like. So, Archbishop Ellis restarted the United Pentecostal Churches of Christ and became it's Presiding Prelate.
Its so sad that many don't know they hymns. They have such a great meaning. I wouldn't trade being born when I was. Feel so fortunate to have learned these. Very good Bishop
Well, I hope he feels better. I used to see him over at Cole Park on 85th Calumet walking with the senior citizens and he wasn't that thin. Again, I hope he feels and gets better.
