Growing up in NY I remember this individual and his engearing message. I'm sure this man was blessed by his honesty and faith in Jesus Christ many times over. Thanks for posting a worthy message and God Bless Always, WPIX.
OOOO, Bronx Convention! I grew up on 152nd off Westchester, which is now the bad part of town, but I loved Fordham Road's shopping zone. And, of course, this video brings back molto memories of them far off times, when most of my gifts were bought from Alexander's.

that announced 12:30 Star Movie presentation of "Godzilla King Of The Monsters" was actually WPIX' Science Fiction Theater (with the same spiral graphics), and it too has finally made it here on You Tube!
WOW!! LETS YOU KNOW WHAT TIME WE'RE IN NOW, WERE AS STATIONS WONT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING A EDITORIAL LIKE THIS, ALL BECAUSE IT MAY OFFEND NON CHRISTIANS.... SAD, BUT IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY THAT I GREW UP IN THE 70"S! BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE!.
it really is something to behold....it is amazing to see that such a beautiful message could be broadcasted freely without suffering repercussions of such actions from naysayers who protest that such a message is "intolerant". I don't know about the rest of you, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing such a commercial put back on the airwaves. One can certainly hope.
@fscap811 ...Yeah me too, The closest White Castle is 3000 miles away from me now , I tried the frozen ones But they just don't taste the same as when you buy them fresh,,,i went to the one on Fordham road and the one on Boston Road a lot....And how about the killer seafood on City Island, and lets not forget all the good Pizza shops in the Bronx..its was the BEST!!!
@bjroberts65 Hey, we might've been neighbors. I used to live in the Fordham area so I used to go to the one across from Fordham University. My parents bought a house off Pelham Parkway on Astor Ave. so I started going to the one on Boston Road also. They've changed the place a lot since in the last 10 years or so...they have a drive thru and the menu selection has increased...they've got chicken sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, lots of stuff they didn't have in the 70's and 80's.
@bjroberts65 And you are right about the Bronx pizza being the best. Have not been to City Island in over 20 years, I wonder if the quality is still good as it was in the old days. I can remember sitting in traffic on that one road into the place during the summer. It was nice "back in the day" as my kids say, when you could go out at 2AM and get something to eat. Take care, Bronx buddy.

It's sad that we don't learn from this message from the late former Gen.Manager and V.P. of WPIX TV Ch.11 NYC.
