  • Are these crickets available to buy? I have never seen crickets this size in Virginia. We have brown crickets under houses and black crickets out in the yards but they would be only 1/4 the size at best to the ones in the video. The only pets I have now are Kefir grains ( little blobs of jelly that are colonies of pro-biotic bacteria) that turn milk into a drink also know as Kefir (a very nutritious pro-biotic cousin to Yogurt).

  • Can u do me a favor get on ur knees and smile like a donut

  • but u know what i try to get the big one but when i step on the grass all the baby cricket are jumping but i wanna get the daddy cricket one man1/!!! how can i get them how about can u make a video show me how to get a cricket plz plz plz

  • due but they are all under grass so what i have to do to get them i'm sorry because i want them so bad

  • @vrap007

i use those plastic slurpy cups with lids to catch them. i just walk through grass and watch for crickets to jump out of the way. They are clumsy hoppers so theyre very easy to catch with your bare hands but i use the cup and the lid to trap it. Those cheap butterfly nets they have at the dollar stores also helps. and bring some containers to catch it in..

  • where can i find one off those

    ?????????

  • @vrap007

Mormon Crickets (Anabrus Simplex) is a shield back katydid belong to the diverse sub family Tettigoniinae. There are many different species in the North American countryside each with different calling sounds. Listen to the sound of chirping as you drive by. They habitat in grass and shrub lands like sage bush. Now would be the time to catch them because they will lay eggs and die in Fall and Winter.

  • @xxxxsevakxxxx i have a turtle and crickets.

  • @AmandacooL8 ok turtlers are whatever but whats the point of crickets?

  • @xxxxsevakxxxx turtle food, lol!

  • Haha, that cricket tried to imitate a Harley.

  • They look closer to katydids than crickets, mainly because of the pattern on their abdomen, the shape of their face and their long skinny hind-legs. If they were green, the resemblance would be more obvious.

Some Orthoptera are neither true crickets, grasshoppers or katydids, such as the "Jerusalem cricket"

  • wtf u actually have this as pets

  • poor thing, sounds like one of his cylinders is misfiring

  • those are pets!!!! they look like food for my pet lizard!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was thinking that except replacing lizard with my tarantulas. :-D these might take longer than the pet store variety to mature into breeding age and maybe that's why not many breed them to feed other animals... If they were easy, prolific breeders, I'd get them to feed my animals.

  • ur so lucky, i want one to !

  • The female i think its that with the sting on its back e? do you supose that they understand when you pet them on the back? that you dont want to harm them!

  • What about roaches?

  • I just don't like anything that is hard on the outside and soft in the inside.

    yiaiks

  • they sound like trucks haha were did you get them?

  • they look more like a grasshopper when you look at the shape of the head.

  • one of these would do my tarantula nicely for a couple of weeks.

  • They sound like a muscle car ticking over lol ide say i prefer that noise to domestic crickets but ide go fuckin mental after a wee while with a constant farting sound coming from one of these guys.

  • EW!

    I hate insects.

this video creeped me out. :(

  • WHY YOU CUT THERE WINGS OFF U FUKER!!

  • they actually dont have wings in nature.

  • your dumb

  • thats torchure on the poor crikets let them go

you krazy person the live to let nature be

  • fucking shake that mofo...... aarrrggghhhhhh

    watch?v=Dc_-qj_FtOo

  • How did you get these crickets?

  • In 1897 a scientist found out that Crickets can tell you the temperature in what ever place you are at. Count the number of chirpings, for 14 seconds then add 38 to it, you get Fahrenheit temperature in that place. Then I checked the name "Cricket" in Arabic language it is "Jod Jod" but the way it is written in Arabic is "Jd Jd" The Arabic gematrical value of Letter "J = 3" and "D = 4", so jdjd=3+4+3+4=14 This is GOD's design, GOD be glorified!

  • its only for the snowy tree cricket that can do dat

  • go die in a fire, this is true because colder temperature leader to slower movement and metabolism.

  • Do these bite?

  • That was an excellent question, they are like farm animals. That is GOD's design for us in order to find the temperature.

  • Okay.

  • how come they don't run away from humans

  • that's one fatass cricket. you seem to be rather intimate with them. could you show a video of regular black crickets chirping?
