The way he starts the song with that little speech, it makes me think that he wrote this song based on a personal experience. He always sings with such passion in his voice - he's my favourate artists and I agree with most here, this is also my favourate song out of his collection.
no. he really doesnt. it sucks when your favorite artist goes mainstream and everyonee thinks their in love with him because of one song. i'm already sick of people thinking they know him because they know Come On Get Higher. i mean i want him to be successful; just not mainstream.
Oh, for sure. He deserves it a thousand times more than most of the idiots that get millions for having a computer alter their voices. I like to think that the smallish fan base he has right now, though, is a thousand times more loyal than that of, say Kanye West. His fans love all of his music rather than just his singles, you know? I wouldn't mind if a lot of people knew him so long as they REALLY knew all of his music- not just Car Crash. I just highly doubt that that'll ever be the case.
I feel the exact same way, but I think he's happy with the point he's at with his music, I mean he's making a living doing what he obviously loves to do.
And I'm sure we both agree that if he really wanted to make an album that would get him a ton of mainstream airplay, he could, very easily, he just doesn't want to put out a bunch of cookie cutter crap for the exposure.
@bro2baseball No he does not. Let's keep this piece of musical wonder to ourselves, to the people who understands good music. If faith wants you to hear Matt's genious, it will guide you to him. :)
@Roosterboii That's a nice sentiment but if you really like an artist you should want him to be successful. Trying to keep him to yourself hurts him. Unfortunately, being successful means being well-known. You don't make money just from making "good music", you make it when lots of people listen to it.
@bro2baseball true... Sad but true. And i think that Matt is an artist that will always do it for the music, not the money, so yeah, i guess i can share him with the world ;)
i like that, it's not just rock, it's 'deep' rock. lol. :p i saw him live with lifehouse. i'd never heard of him before that, but he was really good. funny too.
matt nathanson is SOOO underappreciated. my theory is that hes gonna be the next secondhand serenade. pretty soon he'll make one song everyone thinks will 'sell' and then everyones gonna just LOVE him. and little people like us wont matter.....i miss awake :(
so fucking goood. .....

I know exactly what you mean.... But don't you think he is so talented he DESERVES to be more recognized??
But I definitely know what you're saying... I get pissed off too --like I LIKED HIM BEFORE YOU EVER HEARD OF HIM!

Get over yourself. You're not special because you "discovered" someone.
Anyway, I love the entire Some Made Hope album and "Bulletproof Weeks" is my favorite song from it.

it means like the times when they were unstoppable.
the times when they were together and elated. When nothing could stop them. it's sweet. :)

I honestly love this song. It's so heartbreakingly sad-- when he sings, you can tell he's baring his soul for the world to see. It's incredible.
