He is really bad at playing the guitar. It just sounds so sloppy in every video. And his voice is really not that great, it sounds sorta karaoke. I do respect him for his non-acoustic work in underoath and the almost... people do like him even though personally i absolutely dont see why.

both, but often in underoath their screamer (i think still spencer) is doing a lot of it but aaron does have a good bit of time on the tracks. So however you want to evaluate that, but technically he is the "singer" for underoath as well as the almost.
