Yea man!! Don't believe in God He does not need it. You going to burn in hell where no one care what you believe. Yea you going to meet a anger God. As it says He will make your heart hard so that you don't change your mind. But you are alive .....think!
There may be many christs in other religions(eg: the12th oman -[Islam], a Jewish rabbi christ they are still waiting for), there is only 1 Jesus - there is only 1 man who never sinned, who forgave those who were beating him and crucifying him -who said, Father forgive them, for they know not what they do. Who said , let he who is without sin cast the first stone-at the woman caught in adultery, and when they'd walked away said woman where are your persecuters- neither do I condemn you.
Christianity is unique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No other religion confesses to beable to have a loving (real) relationship with God , ... No other religion has Jesus Christ the 1 and only - who endured the cross for the joy set before Him to see many sons brought to glory.
God and Jesus do not exist, you are all living a false and absurd way of life.
Christianity is a fantasy for the weak, who are in need of salvation and refuge, which ironically is not promised, and not supplied.
I can only hope Christian people can wake up and come out into the light, you are all slowly dying, your "God" is slowly killing you, you will die slowly, reaching out for God's hand and assistance, I am sorry.
What i don't get is that god sent himself in the form of his son, so that his son, or god, could die, so he could forgive everyone , even though he was the one that placed the apple on the tree, and he knew that adam and eve would eat the apple, because he is omnipotent. So god made us get the sin, and then forgave us by killing himself in the form of his son, jesus. I don't forgive people by hurting myself. Maybe god is emo.
@segloff23 - God is emo for us, God is emotional for us , God loves us even in our sins and our disobediance, God is a loving Father who has layed down his life for us, No greater love is there than this that you would lay down your life for someone.
@theageofgrace Laid down his life for us? Really? That is an insult to every human being who has ACTUALLY laid down his life for another person. They don't get resurrected! He "loves us even in our sins and our disobediance"? Really? In that case it's odd that he would cast those of us who don't believe - due to a lack of evidence - into a lake of fire for eternity. Have you even read the bible? Probably not. 90% of "believers" haven't, while 90% of atheists have. What does that tell you?
@azsuperman01 - the purpose for Jesus in the flesh was to fulfill the law, pay the punishment we deserve for our sins, for us to have a relationship with the Father that had been lost since Adam, for our bodies to be a Tabernacle of the Lord - a temple of the Holy Spirit - a dwelling place of God - a mobile throne of God, the veil has been torn to the holy of holies- we now have acess into the throne room of God that no man ever had acess to before Jesus. Jesus fulfilled all the law, never sinned
You are incorrect when you suggest that God and Jesus are the same person. They are 2 distinct persons in the triune Godhead, which consists of 3 persons -- the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Plain and simple, sin separates us from God. When you say that God should be infinitely forgiving, you are demonstrating your lack of understanding of His holy nature. God is holy, which is why he cannot tolerate sin.
Jesus does not condemn. The LAW condemns and kills.
John chapter 3:
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God....
[36] He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
@azsuperman01 you should know that religion has always been the true power behind many forms of government. it's true of egypt, rome, probably atlantis... this is why justice is a joke in many cases. that should be a pretty big hint :D
@theageofgrace I think Moses (if he ever existed) was up on the Mount for so long all by himself because it took a long time to chisel the laws HE thought were important onto a piece of stone with the chisel he had hidden under his robes... kinda like the Wizard of Oz ("Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"). He was afraid he'd lose control of the people if they worshipped a different myth, like Baal. If god really wrote the law with his finger, it would have been over in an instant.
@azsuperman01 Exactly! He killed himself, as a sacrifice to himself, to compensate himself for the breaking of rules he himself made, which he knew about before any of it happened. The verse quoted by Mr88playmaker is the biggest fallacy of Christianity. You can attach the caveat "believe in this without proof, or you will be punished" to virtually any religion or human endeavor, but it doesn't make it true. "The only begotten Son of God" is a bit much too. He can create a universe, but......
@azsuperman01 If you don't believe in God why do you spend so much time trying to make others disbelieve?I mean if this is the only life you get,why not live it to the fullest for soon you will be worm food, right?
@Mr88playmaker The 'law' says people should be put to death for living in the sam city as a non christian (Deuteronomy 13:12-19). Does that sound OK to you.
@Mr88playmaker What i don't get is that god sent himself in the form of his son, so that his son, or god, could die, so he (god) could forgive everyone on earth, even though he was the one that placed the apple on the tree, and he knew that adam and eve would eat of the forbidden fruit, because he is omnipotent. So god made us get the sin, and then forgave us by killing himself in the form of his son, jesus. I don't forgive people by hurting myself. Maybe god is emo.
r What i don't get is that god sent himself in the form of his son, so that his son, or god, could die, so he could forgive everyone , even though he was the one that placed the apple on the tree, and he knew that adam and eve would eat the apple, because he is omnipotent. To argue in a Court of law, having no rightful [legal] basis to stand on, is futile. The law stands firm and condemns where it is able. A judge may feel sorry for a person who by their own testimony is condemned under the law but a righteous judge will NOT break the law because he feels sorry for him. The best one can do is seek a LEGAL provision to escape condemnation legally.
Salvation is a legal matter. The Bible is a legal book with legal purposes. Any lawyer can tell by the terminology alone.
Law, Judge, Judgment, Council, Petition, Trial, Pray, Witness, Testimony, Confession, Provision, Mediator, Condemned, Justice ... etc. are all serious LEGAL terms.
In a court of law, one may pray for something, and it is NOT granted because of a legal reason. One must have a legal right. The law is like that. All bible legal terms work the same way as in a courtroom.
Refreshing to watch a video , not only of someone articulate and capable of conveying a complex point , but also the ability to utilize reason and intelligence to bring purely theoretical , faith based , notions into perspective . I applaud you sir ~ It gets really old hearing the spewing forth of religious dogma that is not based on facts but purely faith based . To the religious people out there : ITS NOT A FACT ITS YOUR OPINION . Its a free country you're entitled to it as am I .
@xtop23 Cheers, xtop. I too, may be a religious type but I question even my own faith and put it under the microscope -- Christian or not, I believe that it's quite fulfilling to understand *why* I or anyone else might believe a certain thing. Why it is believed, where the belief came from and how such belief affects someone.
existence is infinite. when do you get to never having existed?
so you have done something that is infinite. Not to mention the other side of that, the potential to exist is also infinite. But explain the infinite sub set of numbers between any two whole numbers...lol
"if theres no god then why do you spend so much time and energy refuting him?" WOW!!! Here's AN answer...probably not good enough but nevertheless... Athiest's don't refute god. We don't even care. But we are tired of living in a world full of people who expect us to follow rules that we don't care about. People say were wrong and use the bible to give proof. It's just easier to use YOUR bible to prove YOU WRONG. But in reality...we just don't care.
By definition, Atheists don't believe in god or gods, refuting is just something they do in their spare time and isn't a requirement. Just saying "I don't know" makes you an agnostic atheist. I don't know if there is or is not a god, but I am not willing to commit myself to worshiping the one that happens to have his HQ in closest proximity to where I live.
it doesnt make sense to you but u are looking at from a mans point of view , nobody agrees on rules for anything because they come from thier own piont of view ,thats why there would have to be an athourity that say what the rules are, man was not made to know everything god knows so he tells US how it is, u can tell the rules maker how u think is ought to be but what sense would that make , u keep saying it doesnt make sense but ur the same fallen human being that i am , what unbelievable aroga
simular is not the same , not true about christians being the same, chistians are followers of christ period , im sure lots of people are messed up in the name of christ, 33k thats crap, u will make a decision that will be infinite , weather or not u are seperated from god , i think kind crazy to tell god what makes sense to u , and its not acording to any man its according to god , and god is bound by his nature, just as he canot lie, you telling anything of how it is for god is just arogant
hey ive got a tough question for atheists that youll neveranswer to my satisfaction. if theres no god then why do you spend so much time and energy refuting him? i mean all hundreds of vids on youtube? if we believers are just crazy then why not just ignore us? thats what id do. but the christian god especially seems to make people either very uncomfortable and angry. does the blue elephant man god of the hindu bring out these emotions? no?i wonder why?
The reason that atheists spend so much time attempting to refute God is because the Christians spend so much time trying to implement their beliefs into the general public mind. Obviously it is quite a dangerous thing to allow a bunch of religious mystics to introduce their nonsense as factual information to children, or to adults. People try hard to refute it because they know how horrible it would be if the religious viewpoint (which is aggressively pushed) were to replace things like science.
Because you vote! If People who belive in Dragons as much as religion and took up the majority of the country. I wouldn't support wasting tax payers money on unnecessary defences for shooting down dragons or sacrificing young virgins so that they dont attack.
so people who dont belive like you shouldnt be allowed to vote? is this going to evolve into a political discussion? who the hell made you the decider of who can vote? oh and incidently im not for the sacrificing of virgins either.
You made a fatal error of jumping straight for the straw man.....Typical of the unthinker. I didnt say I dont want you to vote.
Point is You would be very vocal if the majority of the counrty who belives in dragons (when they clearly dont exist). Put into policy that girls should be deflowered by age 12 to reduce the risk of Dragon attack? You would be vocal and so would we.
Well guess what! abstinence only sex education, stoping gays from marrying etc. Are all symptons of beliving in god.
It says in the Bible that God does not change. God can not be in the same plase that sin is, Sin is seperate from God and when we sin, we get seperated from God. Jesus took the sin of the world onto his shoulders when he sacificed himself on the cross as an offering to God for the sins of the world, When Jesus took the sin on his shoulders he got seperated from God and that is why he cried out "Father Why Have You Forsaken Me?" And when he died, the dept was paid in full.. forgive my spelling.
Love is created not simply from looks or the mind but from character, commitment, desire, truth and promises Those are traits that people promise at each other at marriage and never keep because SELF is exalted. My Love for my wife and for my Lord for 39 years are seen with my heart and not my mind.
"My Love for my wife and for my Lord for 39 years are seen with my heart and not my mind." - You don't even realise how stupid that sounds. lol. I guess you hold your delusions very dear to you.
Jesus crucifixtion was done in all righteousness to atone for the sins of man. In doing so, he defeated death, which was held by Satan. Satan didn't anticipate this. Jesus was spotless, he had to be, without sin. Therefore death could not hold him because he comitted no sin. He got the keys and thus, paved a way for us to commune with God further and to avoid hell. You won't find God, because you're only looking to disprove it. Your mocking of it will cost you in the end.
so jesus running a muck through the middle east, getting tried in public in front of a massive crowd then drug through the street, surrounded by throngs of screaming people...caught satan off guard? he didn't see the eventual death coming? what did he expect to happen? after they got him to the hill they were going to give him an ice cream?
also, since god set the whole system up to begin with why didn't he just go down and beat satan up and take the keys and avoid all this mumbo-jumbo?
No sir, they knew they were going to kill him, BUT, Satan didn't realize that by killing a perfect human (without sin), he could not legally hold him, thus losing the power of death. Jesus Christ now holds the keys to death and life. All you have to do is ask him into your heart so you may live. This will be your choice. You can mock all you want, but now you know.
I don't think that I know anything that I didn't know before - apart from what you personally believe. The thing is, your belief is not consistent with most other Christians, so while I respect the fact that you quite strongly believe what you stated, I don't think I'll jump on board. I think that if all the many thousands of Christian denomination had exactly the same story I would find it a slight bit more believable...as it is, it seems that everybody makes up their own tale.
You are correct. Many Christians have different beliefs. So who's correct? Go to the source...the bible. One cannot just pick peices of the bible to believe in. Either you believe the entire book or you don't. Now you have a choice. You either believe in God or you continue to do what you're doing and that is making excuses not to look for and serve God. Either way, it is your choice. You live in the end by what you do.
Sin against God was likened to both jaywalking and a $1 offense. Follow this: Lie to my 2yr old, no consequences, lie to my wife, I sleep on the couch, lie to my boss, unemployed, lie to govt, treason and I go to jail...same offense each time, but degree of punishment varies based on who the crime is against. You unfortunately liken sin as the offense against the 2yr old by comparing it to jaywalking or $1 offense--revealing your low estimation of sin.
maxtimus - You analogy doesn't fit. You can lie to your wife, your boss, and the president of the United States without consequence. You could also lie to a 2yr old and get negative consequences. The consequence depends on THE LIE itself, NOT who the lie was told to.
I guess I'm digging deeper than consequences and whether or not someone gets caught...I was starting at the assumption the perpetrator was busted for the lie each time since God sees our secret thought life (Ezek 11:5). Point being, I think you have a low estimation of sin because whatever preaching you sat under never had a high estimation of God's holiness vrs man's depravity. Just my opinion...
maxtimus - I'm also going on the assumption that the perpetrator was busted for the lie. As I said, the consequence depends more on the CONTENT OF THE LIE itself, not whether or not the person lied. With God (supposedly) the content doesn't matter - your punishment is the same (eternal torture) no matter what the lie was.
You said that Christianity is diverse and that there are different denominations etc. That is true, to an extent. But Christianity (in reality) is believing EVERYTHING that is in the bible. But these "denominations" do not agree with the bible.
Thirdly, you saying that it was a wasted effort is wrong. God IS infinitely forgiving. There is only one time period where he will not be. If Jesus did not die for us, we'd all go to hell. In case you didn't know this, "Wages" means the result.
i don't follow those who stone or kill for there beliefes. as Jesus said love your friends, and love your enemys. If you hate some one, than you cannot love me.
"Love your enemies, be yee perfect as the father is perfect" So, god loves his enemies right? That would explain why he allows Satan free roam. Could you send someone to hell that you love? If you have to 'believe' something to EARN his love, it's not unconditional love, and it's not real love. It's brainwashing. "I will love you IF..."
I thought love was "I love you IN SPITE OF...."
and why does God listen to the prosecutor (Satan), but WON'T talk to the defendant?
there is a reason why he lets satan roam ( with restrictions untill the tribulation and at that time he will be let go a lot more)as as much i would love answering your "questions" you are asking them out of confution and just asking them to prove that God doesnt exist so there is no more point in talking to you ;ifyou really want to learn read a bible go to church and don't reject it as much to get your "questions" answerd;and i never said God woudn't love you if you hate some one
The child of God (any person) would have to do what you are doing right now: denying his excistance. Please don't ask these questions in a hatefull manner. ask nicelly
He's probably denied because He gives NO PROOF whatsoever to his existance. The Jews/Disciples and Paul REQUIRED PROOF, and He gave it. How can you have a relationship with someone who's been ABSOLUTELY SILENT for 2000 years?
God hsn't been silent to me; I see his grace working everyday ; the reason you haven't is becouse you refuse to even think that what has happened is just a coinsidense
PHILIPPIANS 2:6-8 " Thou he was God, he did not think of equality with God. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave, and was born a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross."
that is a quote from the bible i have to edmit it is confuzing
they couldn't wait for Jesus so they resorted to making one ( of course it wasn't a real savior) kind of like some christians claiming the rapture is on a spicific day , they come up with that stuff becouse they are impatient about it
TheEnvelopeMan - And, since they were not Jews, and had no record of the Jewish Bible, and no reason to be expecting a Messiah... why would they be impatiently waiting for a savior?
aww man no more red lobster!!! he can change the law but like i said before it has to be perfect ( by perfect i mean if we followed them down to the letter than we would be like god) no one can follow his laws exacly, but we can try
TheEnvelopeMan - Earlier you said: "God cannot just change a law" Now you said: "he can change the law but it has to be perfect."
If the law was perfect, why would it need to be changed? If God is perfect, shouldn't he be able to get it right the first time?
Do you think laws about killing disobedient children and stoning people who don't worship the same God you do are "perfect?" If not, why did God command it? If they are "perfect," why don't you follow them?
there is no need to change his law, he changes his law becouse we change, are you following his law now, no, we don't get it right the first time so he gives more laws to follow so we don't end up breaking the first ones, the only reason they sacrificed animals is becouse it was there RESPONSIBILTY to be forgiven for the sin they commit NO MAN CAN AVOID SIN ( except jesus)
TheEnvelopeMan - Twins are not "the same person with the same thoughts."
Answer the question... If "God and jesus are the same person at the same time," including the same thoughts and the same actions, HOW are they two different people?
you can tell if a bible isn't twisted if it hasn't been branded ( catholic etc.) and some branded bibles go against what god stands for ( catholic praying to mary , mary wasn't the savior)
yes you are right God and jesus are the same person at the same time ( they think, act, and have the same love for every body) however they are two difforent people
TheEnvelopeMan - "God and jesus are the same person at the same time (they think, act, and have the same love for every body) however they are two difforent people"
Reread your statement, it makes no sense. If they are the same person, with the same thoughts, in what way can they be said to be two different people?
God cannot just change a law the law would have to reflect God's actions preventing us from acting like a mini satan or an antichrist ( like you ) i can come with any come back ( from the bible , the bible is the word of God)
TheEnvelopeMan - If God can't change the law, then a lot of Christians are going to be upset -- because most Christians don't pay any attention to the law as it was given to Moses.
If you shave the hair on your temples, or eat at Red Lobster, you are in direct violation of God's perfect law.
he does forgive any sin but in order to teach you how to avoid sinning again he must punish ( like getting grounded but forgiven , the parent MUST ground in order to teach him not to do it again) God loves us he doesn't whant us to sin
Jesus whent on the cross for you and me if you have sined Jesus will act as a sacrifice, in the old testamate the people had to sacrifice an animal without defects and it has to be the "clean kind" jesus had no defects ( no sin) and wasn't a "dirty" animal
TheEnvelopeMan - So, you're entire religion is based on avoiding personal responsibility? In the Old Testament you made an animal suffer for your actions, in the New Testament you let an innocent man/God be punished for your actions.
people have twisted the bibles words making the cathlic bible the mothodist bible ect. that is why you must read the Holy bible not those other bibles that have twisted the words
TheEnvelopeMan - People who never read the Hebrew Bible or heard of the "Messiah" created dying and resurrecting God-men because they were anxiously waiting for Jesus?
Listen, what you are saying is that God, because He is almighty that He should be able to always forgive. you say God set the wages and He can change it.This puts you in error. This is why,if God was to change what He has already procalimed in His word. Then how would you be able to stand on it?You see the message of the bible is that man has rebeled against God.Man Thinks"He can do it on his own. This is the reason Jesus had to do it for us. So we will become dependent on Him(God).
Good analogy of the dollar bill. If our heavenly Father required payment for sin before He would forgive anybody that would be like me as a father saying to my son "I'm going to punish myself by mutilating myself because you didn't mow the lawn like I asked you to." What would that accomplish when I can just forgive my son? Also if sin requires infinite punishment then how come Jesus wasn't punished for infinitely on the cross?
"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. It is enough for me to contemplate the mystery of conscious life perpetuating itself through all eternity, to reflect upon the marvelous structure of the universe which we can dimly perceive and to try humbly to comprehend even an infinitesimal part of the intelligence manifested in Nature."
If a finite sin against an infinite God requires an infinite punishment then doesn't a finite good towards an infinite God grant you infinite reward as well? The inconsistency of reasoning grants no validity towards an argument for the fairness of hell.
your analogies totally make sense to me, because most of them have crossed my mind as a teen. If the Bible was just as clear, then perhaps I would have "believed" it.
And to those who threaten others with "hell", if I remember correctly (I am not a master theologian) Jesus referred to Gehana, not truly "hell". Gehana is a canyon where they burned garbage close to Jerusalem....hence there were "eternal" fires. Jesus was saying whomever he was talking to would end up no better than garbage if he didn't change his ways. Sorry that I don't know the exact quote, but that is the gist as best I remember it.
I understand the dollar example, as wrong as I think it is. I believe that Jesus was god AND human (or god in human). He was needed because mankind can be rather dense, even the 12 were slow to totally catch on! I think Jesus was sent because we needed a teacher who could teach the truth and lead by example...forgiving even as he was dying.
And I do belive much of christianity is symbolic in nature, some of the symbolism is borrowed from other traditions.
ALL I CAN SAY IS i'LL PRAY FOR YOU... AND EVERYONE WHO DOES FOLLOW GOD, HE TEACHES WE MUST LOVE AND FORGIVE THE WAY HE FORGAVE US FOR OUR SINS, HE EVEN DIED FOR THIS GUY, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BEING MEAN TO THIS GUY, JUST PRAY... jESUS i CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU IN HEAVEN FATHER GOD... FORGIVE HIM..
God is needed because He plays an important role in mankind. He created us. Without him we aren't here. He is part of a vast plan and without his that plan would be skewed.
Some laws would be the same if He didn't exist. That doesn't mean that He shouldn't.
EverASurprise - I think the universe, and humans, came into it's current existence due to natural laws which have always existed... I don't see a need for a creator if natural laws can exist on their own.
You need THIS God because he is the alpha and the omega. All things were made by him and your life springs from him and you shall return to his Sone Jesus Christ for judgement.
How do you expalin how you KNOW you are right? No you has any answer to explain the way life has evolved and been molded and where it ever started. Also do you think you are an Alknowing God.
The only unpardonable, or infinite sin, is when somebody denies him. The trinity: or God, three-in-one, is unfathomable, so why argue about it? I want to ask you a favor. Would you make a video about our purpose here on earth? If God isn't real, why is there a big debate about it? Why is there a great struggle between doing the sinful thing and doing the right thing? Why then is there a mass majority of people following Christ, or not? Just wondering if you could answer them for me...
oopsiedaisy007 - There is a debate about God because believers claim he exists, without evidence to support it.
The struggle between sinning and not is a struggle between your biological need to look out for yourself, and your desire not to cause unnecessary harm.
There isn't a majority of people following Christ, 2/3 of the earths population doesn't believe Jesus was the Messiah.
I like this video, very well put. I was going to respond to joel97dale's video but you said everything I was going to and more. I wish I could see the mental gymnastics Christians have to do to reconcile their belief with such outlandish doctrine.
Aznsuperman I want to point out as per your vid since I keep hearing it over and over: Christianity is NOT a collage of many religions. I repeat: Christianity is NOT a collage of many religions.
Stebango - Actually, very little of Christianity is original. ALL the holidays were stollen from pagan religions, the idea of a god-man being born of a virgin dieing for our sins, and being resurrected 3 days later has existed for centuries before Jesus... even baptism and the eucharist was practiced BEFORE Jesus had the "last supper"
Azn, is Christmas, Easter or any other holidays EVER mentioned in scripture? Halloween? you have very little understanding here of Christian holidays. Catholic holidays, sure. Where did the Catholics come from? Can't go over this in 500 words but in a nutshell, they revamped the roman paganism under the guise of Christianity. They had to! Christ's influence on the world was enormous. Give the people our brand of Christianity-retain rule.
"good or bad; it's all on me, and I am all right with that." -I respect your position Zanni. The reality is, you didn't get the chance to be sin-free. Adam, our greatgreatgreat..grandfather screwed it up a bit for us.
How bout you ask JC for a chance at being born into a life without sin and without limits? Odds are You will like it even better!
"To close your eyes to your maker and all that's in this grand universe he created, and to blame him for your sin, that's ignorance + arrogance!"
No. That's critical thinking, and considering what we've all debated here recently, it is logical as well. Ignorance is NOT facing logic, and one can argue that it is arrogant to think this biblical God exists while only having one source of support (the bible).
Let's get one thing straight. It takes faith to believe there IS NO GOD thus atheism/evolution, just the same as it takes faith to believe there IS A GOD, + Christ.
You've shown yourself to be overly critical and dishonest in your argument which clearly stems from an emotional, irrational (not logical) base.
17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
Kezrek, there were many prophecies from the great Prophets of Jehovah prior to his coming. The Israelites were given these prophecies as a way to know the messiah, only one man has ever met ALL the prophecies, that man was Jesus Christ
Yea man!! Don't believe in God He does not need it. You going to burn in hell where no one care what you believe. Yea you going to meet a anger God. As it says He will make your heart hard so that you don't change your mind. But you are alive .....think!

If the purpose of Jesus' sacrifice is deeper than God paying for the sins of mankind... then please fill me in.
azsuperman01 2 years ago
@azsuperman01 - the purpose for Jesus in the flesh was to fulfill the law, pay the punishment we deserve for our sins, for us to have a relationship with the Father that had been lost since Adam, for our bodies to be a Tabernacle of the Lord - a temple of the Holy Spirit - a dwelling place of God - a mobile throne of God, the veil has been torn to the holy of holies- we now have acess into the throne room of God that no man ever had acess to before Jesus. Jesus fulfilled all the law, never sinned
theageofgrace 1 year ago

@azsuperman01 - For while the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
theageofgrace 1 year ago
@theageofgrace I think Moses (if he ever existed) was up on the Mount for so long all by himself because it took a long time to chisel the laws HE thought were important onto a piece of stone with the chisel he had hidden under his robes... kinda like the Wizard of Oz ("Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"). He was afraid he'd lose control of the people if they worshipped a different myth, like Baal. If god really wrote the law with his finger, it would have been over in an instant.
TheOracle1956 9 months ago
@azsuperman01 Exactly! He killed himself, as a sacrifice to himself, to compensate himself for the breaking of rules he himself made, which he knew about before any of it happened. The verse quoted by Mr88playmaker is the biggest fallacy of Christianity. You can attach the caveat "believe in this without proof, or you will be punished" to virtually any religion or human endeavor, but it doesn't make it true. "The only begotten Son of God" is a bit much too. He can create a universe, but......

Mr88playmaker 2 years ago
Salvation is a legal matter. The Bible is a legal book with legal purposes. Any lawyer can tell by the terminology alone.
Law, Judge, Judgment, Council, Petition, Trial, Pray, Witness, Testimony, Confession, Provision, Mediator, Condemned, Justice ... etc. are all serious LEGAL terms.
In a court of law, one may pray for something, and it is NOT granted because of a legal reason. One must have a legal right. The law is like that. All bible legal terms work the same way as in a courtroom.

Just saying "I don't know" makes you an agnostic atheist. realdad32 2 years ago

1n354a 2 years ago
No sir, they knew they were going to kill him, BUT, Satan didn't realize that by killing a perfect human (without sin), he could not legally hold him, thus losing the power of death. Jesus Christ now holds the keys to death and life. All you have to do is ask him into your heart so you may live. This will be your choice. You can mock all you want, but now you know.
drewbloom34 2 years ago
I don't think that I know anything that I didn't know before - apart from what you personally believe. The thing is, your belief is not consistent with most other Christians, so while I respect the fact that you quite strongly believe what you stated, I don't think I'll jump on board. I think that if all the many thousands of Christian denomination had exactly the same story I would find it a slight bit more believable...as it is, it seems that everybody makes up their own tale.
1n354a 2 years ago
You are correct. Many Christians have different beliefs. So who's correct? Go to the source...the bible. One cannot just pick peices of the bible to believe in. Either you believe the entire book or you don't. Now you have a choice. You either believe in God or you continue to do what you're doing and that is making excuses not to look for and serve God. Either way, it is your choice. You live in the end by what you do.
drewbloom34 2 years ago
Sin against God was likened to both jaywalking and a $1 offense. Follow this: Lie to my 2yr old, no consequences, lie to my wife, I sleep on the couch, lie to my boss, unemployed, lie to govt, treason and I go to jail...same offense each time, but degree of punishment varies based on who the crime is against. You unfortunately liken sin as the offense against the 2yr old by comparing it to jaywalking or $1 offense--revealing your low estimation of sin.
maxtimus 2 years ago
maxtimus - You analogy doesn't fit. You can lie to your wife, your boss, and the president of the United States without consequence. You could also lie to a 2yr old and get negative consequences. The consequence depends on THE LIE itself, NOT who the lie was told to.
azsuperman01 2 years ago
I guess I'm digging deeper than consequences and whether or not someone gets caught...I was starting at the assumption the perpetrator was busted for the lie each time since God sees our secret thought life (Ezek 11:5). Point being, I think you have a low estimation of sin because whatever preaching you sat under never had a high estimation of God's holiness vrs man's depravity. Just my opinion...
maxtimus 2 years ago
maxtimus - I'm also going on the assumption that the perpetrator was busted for the lie.

In case you didn't know this, "Wages" means the result.
halo3fan18 3 years ago
halo3fan18 - The word "Wages" (opsōnion in Greek) means "pay," not "result."
Look at Luke 3:14 "...Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."
and 2 Chr 11:8 "I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service."
You're right, the thousands of denominations disagree with the Bible, but none of them think so. They ALL claim biblical support for their position.
I guess God didn't make his message very clear.
azsuperman01 3 years ago
"It's a completely wasted effort" Amen! That's why it's a gift!
He set a wage that He can pay- to show us the grace that we don't have to do anything to satisfy His Wrath.
Now, if we ATTEMPT to pay the wage then they DO piss Him off. That's where he has to be just.

Some codes/laws are eternal and our Father follows them. Some things He cannot change because these are eternal laws that all Gods must follow.
EverASurprise 3 years ago
EverASurprise - Who created the laws which Gods must follow?
azsuperman01 3 years ago
No one created them, they are ETERNAL. They have always existed and always will.
EverASurprise 3 years ago
EverASurprise - If laws can be explained without God, then why is a God needed at all? The laws would be the same even if he didn't exist.
azsuperman01 3 years ago
God is needed because He plays an important role in mankind. He created us. Without him we aren't here. He is part of a vast plan and without his that plan would be skewed.
Some laws would be the same if He didn't exist. That doesn't mean that He shouldn't.
EverASurprise 3 years ago
EverASurprise - I think the universe, and humans, came into it's current existence due to natural laws which have always existed... I don't see a need for a creator if natural laws can exist on their own.
azsuperman01 3 years ago
Well that is your opinion and I can respect that.
EverASurprise 3 years ago
Funny thing about "natural laws" they seem to change when "nature" changes. Don't they?

You need THIS God because he is the alpha and the omega. All things were made by him and your life springs from him and you shall return to his Sone Jesus Christ for judgement.

How do you expalin how you KNOW you are right? No you has any answer to explain the way life has evolved and been molded and where it ever started. Also do you think you are an Alknowing God.
zephyr849 4 years ago
zephyr849 - I am not all-knowing, nor have I ever claimed to be. Also, to my knowledge, I am not God.
azsuperman01 4 years ago
then why force and vocalize opinions on deaf ears
zephyr849 4 years ago
zephyr849 - I don't force my opinion on anyone. I have never tied anyone down and forced them to watch my videos upon threat of pain or death.
I don't see anything wrong with vocalizing an opinion.

Just wondering if you could answer them for me...
oopsiedaisy007 4 years ago
oopsiedaisy007 - There is a debate about God because believers claim he exists, without evidence to support it.
The struggle between sinning and not is a struggle between your biological need to look out for yourself, and your desire not to cause unnecessary harm.
There isn't a majority of people following Christ, 2/3 of the earths population doesn't believe Jesus was the Messiah.

"There isn't a majority of people following Christ, 2/3 of the earths population doesn't believe Jesus was the Messiah."
Where do you get your demographics? Website, book, did somebody tell you? Just wondering...
oopsiedaisy007 4 years ago
oopsiedaisy007 - A couple different sources. The CIA World Fact book keeps demographics on religious belief. Also, the Christian World Encyclopedia.

Stebango 4 years ago
Stebango - Actually, very little of Christianity is original. ALL the holidays were stollen from pagan religions, the idea of a god-man being born of a virgin dieing for our sins, and being resurrected 3 days later has existed for centuries before Jesus... even baptism and the eucharist was practiced BEFORE Jesus had the "last supper"
azsuperman01 4 years ago
"All the holidays were stolen"

If there is something you want clarification of, please email me direct. Wishful thinking?
Arrogance?
To close your eyes to your maker and all that's in this grand universe he created, and to blame him for your sin, that's ignorance + arrogance!

BudhagRizzo 4 years ago
Let's get one thing straight. It takes faith to believe there IS NO GOD thus atheism/evolution, just the same as it takes faith to believe there IS A GOD, + Christ.
You've shown yourself to be overly critical and dishonest in your argument which clearly stems from an emotional, irrational (not logical) base.

The Gospel is good news, but there's bad news that you have to understand before you can understand the Gospel.

"The Gospel is good news, but there's bad news that you have to understand before you can understand the Gospel."
This is the way you are justifying the evils of the bible. It's a reconciliation that holds no merit.

17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

Jesus. The one in the Bible. Maybe you've heard of Him...
gondorking86 4 years ago
Kezrek, there were many prophecies from the great Prophets of Jehovah prior to his coming. The Israelites were given these prophecies as a way to know the messiah, only one man has ever met ALL the prophecies, that man was Jesus Christ

If you've ever read the Bible and been convicted of sin, you know what Jesus' voice sounds like. It was He who was calling you to repentance.
