  • I love it but the fiddle player went somewhere on his first trip that he couldn't find a ride back from. That will happen from time to time. I aint throwing off! Improvisation has led me down a dead end street before. I'm sure he gets it. He is one hell of a player just for trying something different. All of you are great! John Mcgann you have my respect. Berklee is doing something right!!

  • Ben Affleck on on the fiddle! haha

  • It is a privilege to be able to listen to these "crazy smokin' maniacs" performing this 2-part medley. Congrats, Berklee!

  • there are incredible amounts to learn from this video. thanks a lot!

  • wonderful playing by all--who's the fiddler?

  • That's Nate Leath of Old School Freight Train (they have a CD on Grisman's Acoustic Disc)

  • tone, drive, depth, almost vocal expressiveness-superb!

  • what kinda mando is Jacob playing?

  • Jake and Eric are both playing Rigels. Aren't they amazing?

  • Very impressive indeed...John, what is your mandolin of choice?

  • Mr. McGann, the way you work with these young talents makes me feel like expressing my most sincere respect. Way to go.

    Mah, dk

  • Brother Morten: Many thanks, it is a joy to teach. Your music remains a great inspiration to me, and I'm glad to see you getting international recognition and getting more Danish music into people's consciousness.

  • while we're on the subject, john, i don't know if i've ever properly thanked you for all the help you've given me over the years: you're not just a fabulous musician, but also a wonderful teacher and guide--respect and thanks!
