i used to do this but there is a different way where you don't fall to your death if you stay on the first mushrooms you jumped onto without killing those packs before the boss then pull them when they do that silence where you walk in circles it will push you through the wall and you won't fall, you'll just be at the bottom

The Raptor is called Armored Razzashi Raptor, he is being dropped by Bloodlord Mandokir in Zul´Gurub it is the boss who is sitting on a Skelettal Raptor and you can also get the Achievement "Ohganot So Fast!" by him
