with similar spec there's an m-audio, presonus, motu and lexicon too!! decisions decisions. how has it been for you these past few months? i look forward to watching more of your vids. peace!

  • This is kinda silly to ask but is this Interface also compatible with protools 10? i know it is with 9 but im kinda unsure please help :/

  • I'm not trying to sound like a noob. But why do alot of recording interfaces use firewire when usb 2.0 is 40mbs (I believe) faster?

  • @darkgamer240 Firewire 400: 400 Mbps, Firewire 800: 800 Mbps, USB 1.1: 12 Mbps, USB 2.0: 480 Mbps.

  • @xXVisionaryXo oh ok I get it now. I had a really bad textbook that I read it from then. Thank you good sir :D

  • @darkgamer240 Good question. Usb sounds better but 480mbps is the highest rate of data transfer, it averages far less as it runs in serial (universal serial bus). FIrewire's much better as it runs optimally at 400mbps majority of the time. It runs in parallel. Thats why you can daisychain firewire (the pro 40 and most other firewire audio interfaces have 2 firewire ports) so you can run external hardrives etc. Great interface, I have one :D.

  • your lucky in canada its snowing lol

  • @BlackPsuedicide ...noo???

  • @Stacklucker he changed it

  • :(
