ing ung is limited only by its simplicity. how can anything be better then the shortest way to defeat an opponent? any technic which works must be implemented in the principles of this style. -the problem is that many teachers are frauds. do to the effectifness of the system its easy to call yourself a grandmaster after a few years because you can impress people without ma experience. There are no secret technics in wt the only secret is hard training and critical thinking. btw fck blitzdefence!
@123UncleRuckus If you mean Wing Chun, maybe you're right, but this is not Wing Chun. By the way, what do you mean saying "a real fight", did you mean "a sport fight"? This is not real fight, this is just a kind of play with some fixed rules.
@SihingMarcin By fight I mean whenever they come up against a skilled opponent of another style, especially grappling styles. In MMA, Wing Chun is virtually useless as well.
@123UncleRuckus@123UncleRuckus Of course, it is useless in MMA because MMA is also a sport fighting with numerous rules and forbiden technics. If so, it is also not a real fight. If you want to be good in MMA, you should practice MMA. On the street there is no referee allowed to stop the match, if somebody is unfair
@123UncleRuckus Otherwise, I love MMA , I'm a fan of Fedor and Crocop and have may friends training MMA. We use to meet and try against each other. By the way, one of highest WT master levels in Hungary was a wrestler for 10 years, that is why we know the technics of grapplers and how to defend against them, using our technics.
@SihingMarcin That's the standard TMA comeback, "Oh but MMA bans forbidden techniques." First of all, MMA fighters also know dirty techniques, they just don't use them. If they were to fight you in the street they would use their techniques as well. Secondly, TMA practitioners don't even know how to properly use their "forbidden" techniques cause they never actually try them out, it's all hypothetical.
@123UncleRuckus It's as hypothetical as the knowledge of dirty techniques among MMA competitors. They also "know" them, but they don't use them, cause they are not allowed during a match. So how they know, if are supposed to fight fairly? The most hypothetical thing is only to talk. I think, many people mix Wing Chun with Wing Tsun, Ving Tsun, Ving Chun etc., but all of those schools are quite different and many people just don't know anything about WT, but think, they know
@SihingMarcin Having sparred with several WC practitioners, and conversing with them, I know a little of it. Those same WC guys are now going into martial arts like bjj and judo, and why is that so? They are doing this because WC is limited in techniques, and they realized that devoting yourself to such a limited range of techniques is in essence a waste of time.
@123UncleRuckus So, try to find a high-ranked WT master from Eastern-Europe, not from EWTO. I think, this would be for you a new experience. We know about many cheaters who teach WC, like William Cheung, and that's true, what they do is extremely limited, because limited is also their knowledge. But Wing Tsun from Norbert Maday and Leung Ting is not so. There are many people practizing previously judo, bjj and MMA among us. And they chose WT because it is not as llimited as sport fight.

it's always funny to see these Wing Chun guys act all superior in demos but when it comes time to a real fight, they always lose.
