  • Also appeared on the original Star Trek

  • @newmediaformat yes your right ..he's also in the outtakes

  • This "ELGIN HOUR", as program announcer Jackson Beck billboarded at 2:11, was "Combat Medics" [June 14, 1955], which co-starred John Cassavettes, Brian Keith, Jack Lord and Joe Maross. The title of the following week's "U.S. STEEL HOUR" (revealed after Mary Kay & Johnny Stearns' endorsement of United States Steel), was "Red Gulch" [6/21/55], starring Franchot Tone, Teresa Wright and Jayne Meadows...all live!

  • That's Ed Reimers, later known in the '60s as the man who a) interviewed people who declared they had 85% fewer cavities after brushing with Crest; and b) cupped his hands at the end of Allstate Insurance ads and declared, "You're in GOOD HANDS...with Allstate". This, incidentally, was Elgin's closing ad from the final telecast of "THE ELGIN HOUR", a live anthology that alternated with "THE UNITED STATES STEEL HOUR" on ABC's Tuesday night schedule [9:30-10:30pm(et)] in the 1954-'55 season.

  • yep...i'm dainty and need a teeny watch *LOL* was pretty, though
