There are schools out there that cater for established business people. Going back to school for 4 years is either impractical or cost prohibitive. having been in the military, and now a Private investigator for some years, I don't need to sit in a class and listen to a criminology professor telling me what I already know. These degrees are not so much to find jobs, but to help established business professionals to solidify and enhance their careers.

@aherrns - They look at your history, profession and achievements to ensure that you are matched with the appropriate degree. If you are a chartered accountant, you won't get a degree in zoology. If you are a history teacher, you won't get a degree in chemical engineering. I am actually finishing my criminology course work (equivalent of, with thesis) which will be placed on a CD and sent to the academic offices of the university that conferred my degree so my work will be on record.

What I like was that they DO NOT deal in fake or counterfeit diplomas and degrees.

Unfortunately, college transcripts don�t always reflect real life experience. If you have a lot of knowledge and practical experience in your field but no diploma to show for it, life experience credits may give you some of the recognition you deserve. Several distance learning programs review students� real life experience and grant experience credits based on what students have learned outside of the classroom.
