  • i used Strawberry Galatine thats already red. howlong you let it dry?

  • @xLittleMissAmberx Just a few minutes

  • if I used this instead Liquid Latex, for a skin effect, will it work? (excuse my poor english)

  • @Filhote666999 It should work. In the movie industry they use gelatine all the time.

  • @fumsmusings ok thx so much!

  • this is really good! what where they ingredients?

  • @xLittleMissAmberx I have made a tutorial on the recipe used for this it's called Gelatine recipe for spots and boils - request

  • @fumsmusings ok, thank you i make it right now!!!

  • @fumsmusings oke thanks!

  • I'm definitely using this for a Hunter costume from Left 4 Dead 2 next Halloween. :D

  • @envygeeksgirl

cool whats the name of the video?!

  • @RossJohn69 It's called Gelatine recipe for spots and boils - request

  • @fumsmusings

cool can u respond back when you've finished it

    thanks!

  • @RossJohn69 She just put a video on how to make it up, now. :)

  • @fumsmusings

So plain colorless gelatin, flour and the two food coloring. you use more pink than blue correct?!

Did u add water to the gelatin? do you remember any of the steps you took to make the gloop?

  • @RossJohn69 Tell you what I'll do a video on it, it's easier to watch a tutorial than try to follow written instructions. I'll post the video later today :-)

  • this is sooo freakin' cool.

can u give me detail instructions on how to make them. yea i know gelatin and powder. but what type of gelatin and powder and what are the ratio proportions?

    please help!

  • @RossJohn69 This was an experiment sorry I haven't got exact measurements for you. You need to mix the plain flour and geletin (beef or vegetarian from the supermarket) until the mixture is sort of creamy. The mixture needs to be thin enough to drip but not too runny so that is just slides off the skin.

  • It looks delicitious.

  • this will help so much with my project than you!

  • @KalidescopeKreations You're welcome

  • how long didid it tak 2 dry

  • this really helps with my course ha, still don't feel completely sure on the special fx side yet, you made this look so easy !

  • @eeyoresoph It's just practice. Bear in mind I've done no professional courses, this is just my hobby. I bet you'll be way better than me when you've finished your course.

  • Howd u get ur youtube name

  • this was like a really gross art attack. loved it.

  • @devotchka16 Thank you

  • Love this effect! Is there a way to create some for your face? Would I just apply them directly to my face or on on something else then glue/latex them to my face?

  • @jtofspades You can apply them directly to your face (which I found a bit fiddly) or the best thing to do is make them on cling film or a plastic bag first then apply them once dry.

  • @fumsmusings Ok, thanks so much! Im going to be a Planet Terror zombie and this is the exact the effect I was looking for!

  • @jtofspades no problem

  • @jtofspades @fumsmusings This tutorial was fantastic! I know it's a bit of late, but I have some advice that might be helpful to others. To apply this goo to your face you put the gelatine mixture into an icing tip (I used '#1') and push out the gel' with your finger. You can put little (or big) dots all over your face this way. I found it the quickest and easiest way to get spots onto my face without having to premake them and attach them later.

  • @pirategrrl29 Good tip thank you would never have thought of that.

  • hey kidz use this trick too miss School it worked for me!!

  • Wow! This is really cool! Great job! :)

  • Thank you so much for this. I've been looking for a makeup effect like this that I can do cheaply and without latex. It looks great! (Or gross, whatever you prefer to call it.)

  • @elvenlogic Thank you

  • Oh my god that looks so real and disgusting.

  • what are the measurments that you used? also how long does it take to dry

  • what are the measurments that you used?

  • you can also put a bit of liquid latex on the skin before you add the gelatin - aswell as add a little on top of the gelatin - effectively incasing the gelatin in a protective latex membrane.. itl last longer...

  • @gutrotfx Thank you for the tip will try that :-)

  • hey i really like ur vids 4 sfx and like the homemade stuff and as i live in north wales they dont sell all the big brand stuff so thx :D

  • @MrJimbobjackson Thank you

  • @fumsmusings I will subscribe now!!!.......because you rocks!......

  • What if I want to do this on a large scale? Such as, a large boil/blister taking up about a third of my lower arm?

How long to they last, and any tips for doing this large scale?

  • @InternalFaggotry For making the boils/spots on a larger scale just make more of the mixture. The mixture seems to stay on till you want it to wash off, but after a few hours it can dry out and start to crumble, so maybe add a layer of glue/ Hope that helps.latex over the top to prevent it drying out too much.

  • Where can you buy gelatin?

  • @MsKTrues gelatin is used to thicken jelly, so any shop with a baking/cooking isle will sell it.

  • What if you're allergic and you REALLY get boils and hives

  • Fantastic

  • @IronPearlCHI thank you

  • I can't wait to try this!

  • @kverzwyvelt let me know how it turns out. and if you do a video feel free to add it as a video response to this one.
