Once Roo lost the knife, Connor's only had to keep kicking her when she was down and jump on her head! She's suppose to be this tough biker chick! so what happened to her famed aggression? Roo is a joke really! Make's me laugh.
Marie Winter menacing! What a laugh. Bea Smith and Sandy Edwards ran rings around that fat heap. And they could not get the actresses back who had moved on to other things. It was also known to viewers by then that the series had been axed, and storylines were being wrapped up.
Yep, Roo looked good when she first came out, but the hype surrounding her was ridiculous when you see her in action. About as convincing a Top Dog as Margo Gaffney :P Really annoyed me that Marie Winter, Margo and others who were supposed to be there weren't there, just Roo and a lot of quite sappy extras. A couple extra episodes in Blackmoor wouldn't have gone amiss either! Really wanted to see Marie Winter at her absolute worst, fuelled by the Blackmoor environment and hostility!
I was so excited about the scenes in Blackmoor because I assumed we would see some of the great prisoners of the past who'd been transferred there, like Marie and Margo. Not to mention the screw Cynthia.
@Vauthier I couldn't agree more. I know Brumby remarked that Craven "put away" enough prisoners at Blackmoor, but it would have given it a better to have at least shown Marie and Margo (perhaps with a completely different persona), instead it kind of spoilt the reputation of that particular prison considering how it was viewed by Wentworth inmates. Just one regular would have made all the difference.
The actress to play Roo was a poor choice. Yeah I understand she was "top dog" because the governor Craven, put her there. Kind of like when Joan installed Kath Maxwell or Sonia Stevens. And what happened to the fact that Blackmoore held the worst of the worst, like Marie Winter.
I was never that convinced by Roo. She was bigged up for ages and ages....and this is it. Any, and I mean any of the wentworth greats could have crushed her without a moment's thought Bea, Myra, Nola, Marie, Frankie
1'09" - It's Roger, Maxine's brother-in-law! He's had a lot of jobs in Prisoner...
