I still prefer do it the easy way by giving her EXP. Points.

Meg has monster growths and is one of the strongest sword generals in the game, provided you took the time to TRAIN her at the expense of the other units in the dawn brigade since she needs a lot of initial baysitting. The result however is a unit that is worth more than the majority of the Dawn Brigade (most of your units in Ike's party are monsters already and you get more than enough crutch characters in this game). If you are willing to sacrifice your early units, she's great.

Meh. I wouldn't use Meg on the basis that she takes too much effort to train, and that in the end, there are only a few characters you'll be using for the endgame, so if you're gonna pick a general, go with Gatrie, since he can act as tank, and then nuke the stuff that tries to kill him. You could say that a speedy general/marshal is more or less a bad halberdier/lancer.

I hate people who diss her cause she doesn't have as much Def. as a normal Knight. While it is true, she also has killer speed and res growth, and with a custom weapon and Leonardo support, she's a beast.

@legomaster00156 :) That much is true. She does need significant protection for a while, and the chapter you get her in first ain't exactly great for training her unless you only use her on unmorphed Laguz. But I've gotten a Meg who's a killing machine a couple times. :D

Of course, I've always been of the mind that "It's not the character, but how you use them" It's my general philosophy for all Fire Emblem games. :)

I've heard Meg makes a mean Marshall, but she isn't worth all the trouble (She has poor Defense for a Knight).

also a good advice is boss abuse (general best choise best general is part 1 chapter 7 don't steel his vulnary or you have to wait longer he has one 39 so he just heals 3 a turn)

it cost much turns and sometimes much weapon vulnary but it works very well

an other tip eddie get very much crits so take that with your decision.

Edward has laughable base Defense, equal to Leonardo's base and LOWER than Vika's base. And a 35% DEF growth isn't good.

Zihark is actually much better than Edward because he can take a hit.

No they aren't. At least, if you actually play on hard mode. Edward gets lolraped by Hard Mode enemies since their HIT and ATK are actually threatening. Plus his bases are shit and even his SPD can't save him because enemy HIT is THAT good. Mia is good but so is Zihark, and he has Earth, which beats Mia's affinity, and you get him for harder chapters, thus making him more of an asset to his team than Mia is to hers.

How can mia be be "OK", she the best trueblade you get! Edward and Zihark are tied for second. (Depends on the RNG and such). Stefan is more of a replacement if you get RNG screwed and Lucia is good, just not the best due to her strength but the can be fixed with BEXP.

Mia has 1 less str cap than eddy, but same speed cap. Trueblades defence doesn't really matter, because speed makes it so they never get hit. Lucia would be great cuz of her earth affinity, but she rarely caps.

but that's 1 less might! Trueblades don't rely on might to kill. They use criticals. Give a Trublade Adept, Cancel, a crit bonus, and a killing edge, there's little they can't kill.

one, you shouldn't really be using trueblades on tanks. two, the rate at which they critical kinda negates that. 5 *3 = 15 anyways * 2 for double so they do 30.

i know, isn't that fun? take a weakling, get a stronger guy to soften an enemy and power up the weakling. i dunno what it is but i love having everyone at third tier. current playthrough: female characters (and forced) (then again, im killing using characters like meg and fiona ~ and ignoring nolan and edward...i feels really odd.) archers are good to soften then fiona goes in for the kill. and my micaiah has 20 spd at lvl 18!! no resets. :) i got blessed.

All of them are actually fantastic. Eddy has decent HP, so he can take some hits, Zihark has Earth affinity, so pairing him with Nolan or Volug proves amazingly hard to hit either of them, Lucia is a freaking beast the second you get her, Mia is just Mia, the end, and freaking Stefan comes with UBERSWORD and already a Trueblade. Just doesn't get better for sword users in this game. Helps they have ranged weapons, too.

Fiona and Meg are horrible..seriously. What was more depressing was when I finally got Fiona to Tier 2 (after a lot of attempts), she dies on her first turn as a paladin...seriously...(This happened on the chapter when you ambush the Combine army with boulders as the daein army). I was one enemy away from clearing that chapter too..

When I made my Fiona a paladin, she became a speed tank. The imbue really helped, too. I guess it's just personal experience and whether or not the RNG screws us.

Fair Point. The RNG was pretty poor for Fiona, the major annoyance is that she joins the game a tad bit too late to be properly developed, since most of the enemy forces can OHKO her.

Fiona became a speed tank for me too, but her strenght and weapon level were just so low that it was impractical to use here as anything other than an emergency rescue. As for Meg, her stats make absolutely no sense. He highest stat for me was luck, and yet she can't dodge a goddamn thing. Her defense and resistance were both 13 when I promoted her the first time. 13 for gods sake.

Have you seen Omega's all girl exhibition? Meg can be a powerhouse. The way I'm guessing to lvl her is the same way I'd lvl Ilyana. Attacking: weakened enemies and priests =D I saved over my Chapter 1 end so I have to restart if i wanna use Meg =p

Bonuses? Well if anyone hits 20/20 on a file of yours (can't have any Easy Mode (Red) files), any stats they cap will transfer a bonus of +2 (or +5 for HP). Some people have exceptions:

Sothe will just take the higher stat.

Calill gets both her own bonuses and that of Largo's.

... I think that's all of them. I could be wrong, however.
