This must have taken a very long time to get right. It's a pain in the ass to get those textures right. I assume you pulled them from the game. Any tips? I have trouble effecting the bump mapping and lights.
@bnewton81 No, they didn't. They went with a licensed UT3 engine. This goes beyond the UDK, it lets them change the actual code of the engine. My guess is they will either change the color palette of the normal maps to the one they use in EVE, or use "normal" normalmaps.

@antipryzm I've never understood why. Most systems have little issue rendering a full effects fleet fight... Well, most average computers with a $100 video card.
holy christ, if eve battles ever end up looking like that my love for the game would triple. i wouldn't mind losing a ship if the explosion looked like that.
Now one has to wonder, why the F was the Arbitrator not neuting the living crap out of the Ruptures, and why was the Phantasm using Scorch on close range? :P
@Helge129 Ruptures are Minmatar cruisers, which use projectile weapons, and projectile weapons don't depend on capacitor, so neuting wouldn't stop the guns from firing. Sure you would shut down their tank and afterburners after you dry their cap, but what then? You still have two cruisers worth of dps incoming.
Why have I not seen this before? I suk. Enjoyed that a lot, make moar pls, lots lots moar.

@bnewton81 You need to edit the normalmaps in Photoshop for them to work in the UDK, because CCP uses Normals with a different color pallete.
