isn't the reason to go to breeding so u save cash. It costs a fortune to buy rats prepacked frozen. good teaching though mate. thanks. they say now that argon/co2 mix is even better for euthanasia.

I don't quite get why you have so many rats in the first place, wasn't that enough food for a year?

I have 4 pet rats myself, and even so, when I see a snake kill a rat, it's nature at work. Nothing wrong with that. But I don't quite get what you did to be honest.

It doesn't take that much to take care of rats. check for food and water everyday takes one ten minutes, and one day for cleaning. I work full time and go to school and i still make time to care of the rats.

Sweet video Alex, as always. That set-up for the C02 chamber was clever ahah. Frozen-thawed is a bit of a hassle as well. If not more of a hassle than live. You should do a feeding video of all your snake's. I play paintball too. 5 stars!

I think the fastest way to killing a rodent is just putting in a bag and hitting it against a hard surface as hard as you can. But that is just my opinion. Don't you think just hitting them against a wall is cheaper than buying CO2?

no, and hitting them on the wall causes a huge mess..i only use the co2 chamber for large rodents

Well that commonly happens when you hit the rodent's head on the wall or hit its nose which causes it to bleed.

yes but if you hit small rodents just right..the wont bleed...big rats are just to messy...they blled to much and are harder to kill...CO2 is the way to go for killing large rodent

wow man i guess wasnt a usual update. love fedding frozen-thawed. and i too breed my feeders. also have a co2 chamber. use that alot to kill the rats. use to use a 3/4 inch piece of dowel to the back of their heads. that put them out quick too. thx for the update. looking forward to many more to come!

The easiest way to do a co2 chamber is to pick up a piece of dry ice, a small plastic tupperware with lots of holes in the top or screening, a colle, and rats... Put the piece of dry ice into the tupperware, and close the lids with LOTS of holes in it, and put that into the cooler.. Then put the rats into the cooler, and close it.. The c02 released from the dry ice will kill the rats humanely the same way as you did....
