  • I just noticed that Mona Lisa doesn't have any eye brows

  • My theory is that since the girl has been identified is that he went out searching for a women with similar if not exact structures as him, and asked the ma'am if he could paint her, also another theory was made by I forgot who but this was pretty recent he the Mona Lisa was a panting of emotions I know one of them where jealousy I can't remember the rest...

  • Im impressed that after 4 years he still knew what he thought about drawing in the first place...

  • I don;t know why scientists want to be part of everything this is just work of art why thye always made up somethings only Leonardo Da Vinci know how he drawed this and how he imagine that

  • The Mona Lisa is supposed to be a self portrait of Da Vinci himself as a woman.

  • only leonardo can tell the reason why

  • it took him over three years to get the eyes.

  • @Kaylaruiz92 nice try acting cool.

  • Monalisa is a anagram of two demi gods AMON and L'ISA .

That is the reason for knowing smile of Monalisa.

  • I think the biggest mystery of the Mona Lisa painting is... Why doesn't she have eyebrows?

  • I heard this bitch was knocked up that's why she was smiling

  • 1:15 no wonder Leonardo helped Ezio!

  • @megamoh987 History becomes a lot more exciting when you factor in Assassins and Templars.

  • Will it blend?

  • Joker - Why so serious?

  • Like if your watching in 2012!

  • 1:10 Assain's creed symbol!!! xD

  • @MELANIJA995 1:10 illuminati

  • oh come the fuck on. The real "secret" of the mona lisa smile, is DA VINCIs BONER.

Da Vinci was having a boner, and mona lisa noticed, thus the awkward smile, its just like "smile for the camera" but how can you smile for a picture while some dude is having a rockhard boner? Doubt? ask yourself this, what year was the picture painted? Then, ask yourself, what year were pants with zippers invented?

  • Y U SO FAMOUS

  • she has no eyebrows!

  • Brew-ha-ha! lol

  • who has a boob soo cloes to their neck

  • Why you no have eyebrows?

  • Lajk ako si dosao vamo preko facebooka :D

  • Im 30 this year and ive always wanted to know what is all the praise about this painting, ive always found it dull and uninspiring. Ive wondered this my whole life.

Today i appreciate the hands, shading and facial structure, but is it as epic as 'the greatest painting in the world'?? I don't agree.

  • so..... what u sellin me?

  • Mona Lisa is a Mistery of the World! No-one knows when she was painted! Some peapole sawd a Like behind her and Whale! Mona Lisa has mixed face with Leonardo DeVinci. Half of part of her face is Leonardo DeVinci and another one is princess Mona, then when Leonardo DeVinci finished painting he died and was stolen from him, Few Centurys later Mona Lisa was founded in Ruins of the Castle in Italy then she was sended to Pariz at some museum... There is a looooooooong story behind this comment

  • lol i imagine that da Vinci draw her for fun,not for this xD

  • That pyramid looks like Assassin's sign from AC ^^

  • Fascinating video !

  • 2:35 BOOBIES!

  • Can we buy it on vat19's website?

  • English please!?!?! Or at least say it in kid.

  • @dud43 words too big?

  • Right. They failed to mention that he painted the pupils in the exact center of the eyes, which causes the eyes to follow you no matter where you walk in relation to the painting. I did this at the Louvre and the eyes really follow you.

  • the eyes follow you

  • i feel like squidward watching this..

  • honestly i dont see why the thing is so damn important!! its just cuz divinci painted it. i dont give! it shouldnt be this famouse

  • @deepseteyesdance You are judging her by today's standards of beauty which are ridiculously high and based on fake beauty. Please bear in mind, the girl in the Mona Lisa painting has had her eyebrows accidentally wiped off and women didn't wear make up back then. Today, women wear make up, dye their hair and, some, even have cosmetic surgery. Men have lost touch with what is actual realistic natural beauty.

  • Best.Art lesson.Ever.

    :-)

  • ( 4:13 )

Vat 19 guy: "...signifing Leonardo's erotic attraction to his mother."

Me: "WAIT WHAAAAT?!?!?!" *rewinds like 3 times*

  • Another theory is that the Mona Lisa was not a real person and the portrait is of Leonardo himself as a woman, because he longed to be a woman. (He was gay)

If you look at a portrait of him, they look very similar.

He kept it with him his whole life because it was privite.

  • @iMILAtube Was this before or after he helped a secret assassin take down a time-spanning paramilitary group with ties to the Lizard Men of Bohemian Grove?

  • @vat19com... not an outlandish theory at all, it's been around for a while, and has gathered credence...not an unusual occurrence either, many artists have painted such 'self portraits'. The bone structure of da vinci and mona lisa are more similar than one would expect and, given that da vinci had a strong attachment to the painting, it's a theory well worth looking at...

  • Comment removed

  • @loftaustin I was just joking, but the theory doesn't really hold water since the subject of the painting has actually been identified. It's one of those cases where you have to ask which is more likely, a feminized self portrait to act as a historical red herring, or the work of an artist who made his living by commission.

  • @vat19com Assassin's creed reference FOR THE WIN! *Fistbumps whomever wrote that response*

  • @iMILAtube it was also the first painting of a woman that wasn't famous but I thought it was based off of a farm girl? i really don't know that's just what I have heard

  • wow... a Vat 19 vid that was not trying to sell me something? very informative.

  • The fucking tit was in the center of that chicks chest!!

  • @Hyperawsome rofllllllll it looked like it was almost on her neck

  • My name is Lisa!!!! :)

  • Well this vid was unexpected. well you aren't selling the Mona lisa . I learned some stuff too. but i'm not a person who likes this painting. She's smiling because that snot what people normally did in that era >_< can't it be that simple?

  • just wondering, why did you make a video like this, when vat19 is meant for videos on your products? also thank you for making this video, it's really interesting!

  • @nintendoLove777 We love the arts almost as much as we love selling awesome products. This video was actually to promote our Ambient Art DVD.

  • @vat19com Oh, thank you that makes alot of sense. haha

  • Comment removed

  • Wait...did I get sold something or not?

  • Why does she have such a big nose?

  • 2:36 boob!!

  • EXTREMELY UNATTRACTIVE WOMAN!!! NOSE IS SO UGLY-EVERYTHING ABOUT HER FACE IS UGLY!!! THE BODY LOOKS LARGE/OVERWEIGHT OUT OF SHAPE!!!

  • This is really interesting.I've never really cared for this painting but now I'm very interested in it.

  • OVERRATED PICTURE! she aint even hot :l

  • What a great video. I was wondering what the big deal was about this painting, but this video's a real eye opener. The historical milestones; the "pyramidal composition"; the layering of colors--I never would even thought of all that! I don't know anything about art, but this video really enhanced my appreciation. The Mona Lisa is truly an amazing piece. This video will change the way I look at art forever.

    Props! Just props!

  • BOOBIES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • monalisa is vampire

  • heh heh...bru ha ha

  • @Toxicorangesoda123 The actual word is spelled "brouhaha", which means "excited public intrest"

  • If you all have a printer copy a photo of Mona Lisa then print it and stare at her eyes then move slowly it seems like her eye follow you

  • maybe he just painted a normal, sitting girl...

  • during their era FAT is sexy...... : > )

  • @Einstien1879 I wouldn't go so far as to call the Mona Lisa "fat".

  • @vat19com ok we reshape her by words...maybe we can say calorie infested body or maybe her clothes is not hers.... just kidding.... I love arts... : > )

  • she's fat

  • Boobie!2:34-2:42

  • anyone notice she has no eyebrows?

  • People always make a big deal about the size, I guess it has something to do with expectations. But the way you hear people talking about this painting they make it seem like it's in equal size to a desktop photo. When I went to the Louvre, I was expecting it to be minuscule due to what everyone had been saying, and I have to say after seeing it, it's not that small!

  • satanic picture

  • also 2:35 BOOB

  • @TheBean930 That was like almost up to her neck xD

  • the Mona Lisa was actually never finished she never had any eyebrows

  • The background IS possible. It's going into the background even further behind the woman in the painting. Therefore, It is possible.

  • @Shortietheshortman The background is impossible because it is actually two separate views, not one static landscape.

  • @Shortietheshortman It isn't possible. If you're looking at the Mona Lisa herself, it is head on view of her, but the background is a raised view. It isn't possible.

  • Leonardo wasn't all that of a painter. He was more of an inventor. He invents stuff to put on vat19.

  • A Job For A Job - Wednesday, November 23, 2011 (C.E.), 12:45 PM (Eastern Standard Time)

  • That is a theory of measurement. Maybe I'm right. Excellent YouTube documentary.

  • I don't give that much positive feedback. People and I mean wealthy people have studied this photo in creating the kind of movies we see today. I've once been told that possibly an authentic naked photo of the Mona Lisa might be worth more then earth itself.

  • I watched the whole thing thinking that a product would pop up, like a painting product or fake trace lol

  • Thanks to you, my Mona Lisa essay practically wrote itself!

  • Are you selling this one : 2:36 ?

  • Lajk ako si ovdje dosao preko face-a !!

  • @lemi1121 yesi li srb ili hrvat?

  • thumbs up if you came cuz u saw the pic ture

  • i dont get what your selling

  • the key was behind her painting!!!!!

  • did anyone else's eye continue seeing that circle after 2:11

  • then the most ovious reson her eyes follow u

  • Mona Lisa don't have eyebrows?

  • she scares the crap out of me

  • Dude. Did you just say Brouhaha? wow.

  • wasnt she pregnant when this was painted?

  • You forgot the code under the nose by being xrayed

  • @sniperwhg I think you have watched the movie "The Da Vinci Code" way too many times.

  • 1:31 it's spelled "italian"

  • Assasin creed triangle :D

  • did you know she did not have eyebrows in the painting , that was a fashion statement in Italy back then

  • Sooo....can we buy it?

  • IT'S A BOOB!!!

  • @CaliSkat3r she got fake boobs leonardo would paint better form one lol unless he was gay :DDD

  • 1:13...the assassins sigil!

  • lol i saw this video even before i saw your awesome products lol i didn't notice that till now! lol

  • wow al the commnts i see are abu obs get over it and watch the video

  • people analyze this too much, it was probably some woman who dumped his ass

  • @IWhoCreate Ignorant parasite.

  • @Kep0v man ive been called alot of things but an ignorant parasite? thats some fucked up shit. although i most likely am

  • @Metademetra

    Defensive much? (hint hint)

  • I always thought the smile looked perfectly normal.

  • None of these thing were created by Divinci and none of them were original, Divinci was doing what everyone else of the day was doing

  • It took Leonardo 9 years to finish painting the Mona Lisa

  • I never notices she didn't have eyebrows before o_O

  • @amvloon

    Hahaha..i didn't either

  • vat19 is more than just commerce, is also culture.

  • my art teacher said she doesnt have eye brows because some guy said it was dirty and he cleaned it and the eyebrows came off

  • Great video, thanks for the upload!

  • Where's a screamer?

  • 2:39 that had to be the world's smallest boob

  • @metademetra That's actually not too small... are you an eleven year old that watches huge tit porn? =L

  • @callmechamp10 I'm NOT a kid! I just thought it was a little small! And I DON'T watch porn! (also, I may be nuts, but it looks more like a huge zit than a boob)

  • @metademetra Because its being pushed by the clothes into that shape... *facepalm*

  • @callmechamp10 cant find the original post but i guess youre refering to the painting. that WAS indeed a small tit, and im a woman so you cant argue about that.. secondly the tit looked like it was in the middle of her chest which also looks retarded..

  • hey the mona lisas got no eyebrows!

  • The smile has NOTHING to do with Leonardo's eroticism towards his mother. This is totally incorrect. He was only interested in Men. Capturing the shadows in the corner of the mouth reveal an Italianate face with smirk-lines without smiling fully. Celebrities of Italian lineage such as: Jimmy Kimmel, Madonna and Fabio Lanzoni are Classic Examples of this fact. Google Image them to see that same "smirk without a full smile". It is uniquely an Italian trait, as is the round face with MOST.

  • It was fashion back then for girls not to have eyebrows hence the reason she doesn't have eyebrows.

  • yeaa thats kinda weird lol.....vat 19 sells random balls, puzzles and mugs. Now paintings of Mona Lisa?

  • no thank you, I am done with art, and through all my paints away, the fumes were too much to bare. They made me disorientated and dizzy and sick. I will always wonder how the old masters did it without feeling as sick as I felt during an attempt to paint something beautiful on panel. Another failure.

  • Basically Mona Lisa is this famous because it was something new in the era in which it was painted?

  • Its so interesting cause Al Pacinos hand is up her skirt

  • Now the original Mona Lisa painting is gone. but thanks to Mr. Bean he created the exact replica. no need to worry..

  • photo realism at it's finest.

  • it looks like the wall of china behind her

  • Troll face?

  • i slept when watching this documentary :D

  • the smile isnt what makes the picture so engaging, its because if you look at the picture from different angles, it always looks like the eyes are on you

  • People... people... it's just a painting...

  • ASSASSINO !!!

  • so.... youre selling this?

  • @enriqueuret You made my fucking day! I woke up my parents laughing so hard xD!

  • @ImTrollingRWJ cool =D

  • so were can I get the licenses because I want to disect cadavers to learn the anatomical things needed to help me paint nudes

  • @30inventionman Such things are generally reserved for law enforcement and medical students. Luckily, many of Leonardo's anatomical sketches are readily available so you won't need to go through all the dirty work.

  • ya , he disected 30 cadavers. wtf. In that time it was possible. Now you cant disect shit

  • @30inventionman You can with the proper licenses. In Leonardo's time, being caught doing that would have been a one-way ticket to the gallows. His anatomical studies were done at great personal risk.
