I was just listening to a recording of Fritz Wunderlich singing "Dies Bildnis.." and one would be forgiven for thinking it's Beczala singing.

What a delight he is. A tenor who actually sings beautifully instead of screaming...and we get to heart him in San Diego this week! Been looking forward to this for two years.

I uploaded this because Piotr has become my favorite tenor. He has a gorgeous voice and you can understand why he loves Fritz Wunderlich so much. He is also one of the sweetest guys one could know!!!!!

This is a truly beautiful tune. Lehar was a gift from God. I never tire of his music.

Piękny głos. Liryka jak u Kiepury, pięknie wydobywa z tempa to, co najbardziej tkliwe. Przy tym głos bardzo czysty w swojej barwie, dramatycznie chwiejny, jedyny z swoim rodzaju.
