I knew Darvin didn't know anything about poker but that sentence stunned "doesn't matter how much is it, i call or not", pot odds is an alien concept to Moon :)
Just so that you see that it's all relative, imagine instead of AQ of spades, Begleiter held AQ of clubs. Pre-flop action would be the same, and the flop bet of 5.25m would be equally possible, as a c-bet. In that case, the re-raise would take down the pot.
Unbelievable how Moon screwed up that chiplead to J. Cada. IMO Phil Ivey still the best player in the WSOP Main Event in the post 2002 era alongside Scotty Nguyen and Phil Hellmuth. Scotty made a good run in 07 til he blew it right before final table and Hellmuth Jr did good @ 08. Yang has never made it to the 2nd day in the last 3 Main Events, am I right?
@MacGovernor I think that's true about Yang. But I think Dan Harrington's back to back final tables in 2003 and 2004 is still the best Main Event run since 2002. And don't forget Greg Raymer's win in 2004 and then 25th place in 2005. That was also very impressive.
Moon / Yang / Moneymaker , there are always going to be players that play less then optimal that go deep in tournaments.. Thats why you dont have to be a pro too play and win.. ( however most people do think there awesome or they wouldnt play lol)
It is so funny, to read here, that the players at the final table of the world championchip of poker are no good players. I am sure, these comment writers are all better players, lol
@serratop actually alot of them arent good players. getting to the final table, with really big fields require you to get lucky more than it requires you to have any skill. so if u can get to where the blinds are high enough to just push all in preflop, the edge then goes to the novice player instead of the pros.
@serratop ur a morron, if u want to look at it that way it means that Ivey is worse then Moon just couse he finished second and Ivey 7th, and Moon was the one who took Ivey down. Truth is that this was one of worst final tables ever. Buchman, Schulman, Ivey, Akenhead and Saout, were good players but Cada, Beglaider, Moon are biggest donkeys ever. They just get lucky, and Cada won it holding 2% chips at same stage and won couple all ins never being ahead. Thats pure luck, no skill aat all.
Im suprised moon didnt call. I mean even if you think the blokes has aces you surely have to call and hope to get lucky?
As for Cada - it did frustrate me seeing how he sucekd out time again and got lucky. but from what ive seen from the 2010 world series - he is very good at applying pressure at the right time. he knows when people dont want to call for their whole stack sort of thing. But he still did get lucky lol
@BigSamFoSho you only saw the hands shown on tv and judge the players based on those tv hands, joe cada got lucky a couple of times but did you know he also get bad beat a couple of times and that was why he was quite short stack to start with?
and in my opinion davin moon crushed joe cada heads up, he was so aggressive that joe had to change to a more conservative style against him. i dont think youd know that too
@jksaksok Oh really genius? Because Cada got bad beats that means that he is a good player? See how retarded you sound? Well you obviously know nothing about poker and we better stop this conversation right now before I humiliate you.
@BigSamFoSho i didnt mention at all that cada 'is a good player', all im trying to say is hes not the luckiest player in the world, there were times in the tournament where he got unlucky as well but that was not shown on tv. so read properly before you try to abuse someone mr genius. ps: i cant judge if hes a good player or not but im sure he didnt get lucky on 60000+ players to get to the final table.
@jksaksok Let me get this into perspective, you say that Moon and Cada are good players because they got to the final table... dont speak to me anymore because you clearly no NOTHING about poker. And dont try to change your story, its too late you already embarssed yourself
@BigSamFoSho lol how does your brain function? I have no intension to comment on whether they are good players or not. I just wanted to say CADA IS NOT THE LUCKIEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD. and the rest were just you twisting my words. do you always do that sir? when you got sth wrong and others pointed it out, you just couldnt face your mistake and gave others the 'dont talk to me coz you are not worth it' face? i feel sorry for you sir, i really do
If his wife believed him on the QQ think she should've slapped him in the face for not making that call, yet she doesn't know a shit about the game and gives her dumb opinion on the situation.
hahahahahahah darvin said to his wife he had QQ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA; WHAT A FUCKING JOKE HAHAHAHAH; 7 / 1/2 to 1 on the call and then he lay down QQ hahahahaha
Queens, i folded Queens, yeah i put him on AKsuited, AK of spades so I fold

U don't need skills, reads, position play, blablabla to win. All you need is luck, and cada the suckout master, had loads of it.

I also think that Moon got lucky, but at least he ADMITTED he got lucky, not like Joe Cada who kept on saying that he outplayed thousands of people.
