  • The Guy Who Put C Must'eve Been A Canadian

  • Looks like they got a bunch of friends together to wait for his call. Combining all of their knowledge and the use of Google, they give him the right answer. I think the guy was telling a group of friends the question and they would either know the answer or all would try to google it.

  • Nothing stupid about voting for C. If you honestly have no idea (as I bet most of the audience did), voting for an eliminated choice is far more helpful than taking a wild guess between the two remaining answers.

  • We used to be a boring family but then we took a bear to the sea. Paddington's from SKYRIM!

  • ohh his name is Aguy...I was confused for a solid 10 seconds on that one lol

  • aww c'mon guys the Paddington Bear question is not that difficult, I've known since I was 6 that Paddington is supposed to be from Peru, he got his name because thats where the family who took him in found him (Paddington Station) with a tag attached to him saying "please look after this bear"

  • Semms like 1% of the audience is Canadian

  • thank the lord for google.

  • HERE COMES THE IRS

  • His friend was ready for the question and he looked it up on google you hear the typing in the background lol

  • @SarkasmGB hahaha. Hell yeah he did.

  • @SarkasmGB hahaha. Hell yeah he did. Plus he had like 5 other people in the room with him.

  • stupid C for 1%

  • He did good, man.

  • LOL trolling for C

  • the guy on the phone blatently went on wikipedia to search it

  • sounds like hagai used google... u can hear him typing... peru comes up when u whack in paddington bear in wiki

  • @LeoLovesAmi

He was asking people in the background. The clicking was him moving the phone around.

  • and uncle sam takes about half that..

    GIMME DAT, THANK YOU

  • i heard someone coughing

  • use internet explorer

  • You're toying with us aren't you?

  • WHAT YOUR FINAL ANSWER BICCC BOIII

  • "Mom is gonna have a heart attack" XDDDD

  • notice "Big Boy" hinting that the answer is B. 3:24

  • @federicozo wonder what would it be if the correct answer was D. "Dickhole"?

  • Paddington Bear was from Darkest Peru and was particularly fond of marmalade, found at the station wearing a tag reading "Please look after this bear." :)

  • I've known Haggai for more than 20 years -- he told me that they did NOT have an internet connection there in the room at his house in Ann Arbor where they were gathered. Neither Haggai nor any of the quiz bowl team members there knew the answer, but his housemate Nina did because of a play about Paddington Bear that Nina's sister had been in back in grade school which mentioned Peru several times. The clicking sound is from the landline phone cord as Haggai confirmed that Peru was the answer.

  • The guy on the phone said "We're a 100%" as if speaking to someone on google. It even sounds like he was telling the question to someone else in the room, and having the person repeat the answer back to him after looking it up on the computer. Cheater.

  • @1stindianonthemoon thats no against the rules , the phone a friends are allowed to use internet and ask people with them

  • @Juanvi269 Well it was definitely not the intention because that is the reason why it was removed from the game.

  • id rather vote for c (or a) than screw up the statistics with my guess. not that dumb imo

  • You know the reason why the guy on the other line read the question aloud? Someone was googling the question as fast as he could.

  • wow he really milks it

    "i think i need a moment"

  • hahaha. man, dont even disguise the keyboard sound in the background googling the answer.

  • Friend obviously typed "where is paddington" into google and the autocomplete finished it for him

  • hold on a sec, let me google that for you.

  • Hmmm...let's see....clickety clickety

    Clack

    Click clack

    .....clack

    100%

  • @GOREG4SM XFD

  • Picking C is actually the smart thing to do, it says "I have no idea whatsoever and don't want to fuck you up."

  • LOL what is up with the typing. At least type silently. LOL

  • easy... his friend used google to find an answer

  • i already knew that it was B....u no after i watched it the second time

  • I knew the answer already. I've read the book before.

  • i remember seeing this question when it ran... lol!

  • I know Russian Who wants to be a millionaire you can search Google as a lifeline

  • this guy was eating his mouth the whole time

  • LOL You can hear the guy typing :)

  • Only 2 choices are B or D

    PICK C! :)

  • Thumbs up if you knew the answer

  • For $1,000,000 this is a ridiculously easy question.

  • @lilprincess2394 I read it as a child, but many have not, meaning it would be impossible for them.

  • @xPlaystationVitax lmao ya , and you can hear the keyboard being typed on !

  • Is it just me or did the guy on the phone sound like he was typing to look up the answer

  • lol i used to watch the paddington bear show so i knew it was peru xD

  • the guy on the phone had no emotion whatso evar

  • @kud123100

Does he need it? He's a PHD in Math.

  • And I'd like to know who was the idiot in the audience who picked C when it was CLEARLY ruled out

  • @vikingsallday005 Justin Bieber.

  • @Davis2Nguyen If that's true, then there's 1 more reason why I hate him.

  • Holy crap this dude looks just like my science teacher

  • lol u can hear the guy he called on the computer typing look up the answer hahaha, that is why the phone a friend got taken out....

  • That guy who voted for C is a fucking hero

  • Wtf? His friend just googled the answer :D.

He repeats the question and possible answers and then u hear him blocking the phone and getting the question from someone else :D.

Pretty stupid to risk on cheating on the final question when you already have 500k :D.

And I don't think he knew the answer. He knew he would get it so he was acting like he knew it to play safer. So even if he gets caught from cheating he could say "I knew it anyways" and it would seem beliveable.

  • 4:08 - Well, $32,000 would buy a decent car.

  • 1% for C lol

  • @kosmaverick Probably did it to abstain. I would've done the same, given that I didn't know the answer, and didn't want to mislead the contestant by contributing to an option that I did not know whether it was at all correct.

  • why is that cheating? If you got a call from the millionaire show, and it was about a children's book series, wouldn't you either use google or maybe your kid who probably love Paddington bear? What are the odds that the person you call is just in the middle of nowhere with no one around to ask.

  • souds like he was cheating on that call

  • The producers of the show should've taken back all the money from him for cheating. What a loser, either you're smart or you're not but they should't let you cheat. If they didn't take the money back then google should sue him for 10 million dollars for using their service to win the money.

  • he dropped the check >.>

  • Everyone says this is an easy question.

I had no clue where the bear was from. Never heard of it.

Sure, anything is easy if you KNOW.

  • it is actually Darkest Peru!!!

  • I don't think his friend went to google. He seemed like he asked someone in the background

  • Haguy probably googled it

  • The phone lifeline is the best if you know who to call. He had his buddy waiting there on his computer so he could google the question.

  • @PeteTheMallard That's the main reason why Phone A Friend was removed in the shuffle format, though they could always bring it back as Ask A Friend, where contestants could contact a friend via Skype like Ask The Expert, that way you could be sure that friend wasn't using Google or anything like that.

  • 1 thump up?

  • so obvious the guy on the phone was googling it with other people seen as you could hear him put the phone down to type probably, and he repeated the question and answers for the other ones around him!

  • How is that a million dollar question?

  • 11 years ago today. Hope he liked that new car and Happy Anniversary, David. The youngest millionaire ever. He was 24 and I am 19 now. I won't lie: that is a record I would love to break with all due respect to him.

    Great game he played.

  • easiest million dollar question of all time. That's a 1000 question max

  • that guy was goggling the answer and he had atleast 3 other people on the background who he was reciting the questions out to.

  • I got it right!!!

  • Dang! I thought it was C:(Nothing)

  • That's a ridiculous million dollar question!

  • DAMMIT i was certain it was C!!!!

  • Actually he was from DARKEST peru... and he loved marmalade. That was a million dollars? That's easy!... well, if you read those books, like I did!

  • @graperonto how r u supposed to know if you didnt though? and these guys r smart they can theory the logic ones.

  • If I had no clue on whether it was Peru or Iceland I wouldve said A or C as well rather than skew towards a wrong answer....

  • 1% for C, wtf?

  • Google is so great huh...

  • @blazer16656 Yeah thats why they took away the phone a friend lifeline in later series, and replaced it with "ask the brains" or something, which were a group of experts on verying topics

  • Its actually not a million dollars though is it?Sure Americans get taxed even on winnings,.

  • how many ppl ca nsay "I googled the million dollar question"

  • Ah, no, wait, I watched a compilation of phone-a-friends, that's why.

  • I have been watching a few clips this afternoon, and that's the second time I've heard this Paddington Bear question. Hmmm.

What's with "So what's your final answer, big boy?"?

  • Actually, David Goodman himself left a comment on this video if you go back several pages and he said they had dialup and couldn't possibly go online so his friend apparently asked somebody else the question and they got it. Just saying what he said on this page.

  • omg easiest question for me ever!!

  • The 1% who picked C is (are) troll(s)

  • it's easy u call a guy that is near the internet and he says the real answer, u even can hear keyboard

  • you can buy a new car. you just won 32,00 dollars!!!!!!! would have been amazing

  • 1% C? WTF?

  • ...and somebody still voted C even though C was eliminated...Wow...

  • @MIBFreakPack it was probably a joke, but then again, it is america ;)

  • i'd vote c just to mess with him :P

  • he had a fkn panel working on that shit..... Paddington bear. lol

  • I always thought the ask the audience lifeline was the most useless of the 3, and whoever voted C was a retard, which shows 1% of that audience was retarded.

  • He's dressed like Tiger Woods, so he obviously got some the previous night

  • thats why you cant calll friends anymore -.-

  • wowowowowwow at 1% C

  • how easy is this?even a 10 year old can answer this!

  • the audience is such a troll when hard questions come up its not funny

  • i knew sumone wud put c

  • I listened to this question and went "WHAT THE FUCK?"

  • he phones his buddy-- then the guy confirms the answer with a roomful of people...phone A friend..cheater

  • it sounds like the phone-a-friend's name is "a guy"

  • 24 years old? looks like 40

  • sick of everyone saying it's stupid to vote C. C is a smart vote. If everyone that didn't know the answer voted for either A or C, then only those who knew the answer would be left, and you'd have the answer.

  • @dspm90 wow genius , just genius

  • @dspm90 That makes absolutely no sense.

  • that was well easy

  • fuck I knew this!

  • Gosh that was an easy question!

  • GOOGLE RUUUUUULEEEESSSS

  • C voter was epic fail guy

  • lmao i wouldve got the million bucks...peru...knew it..OWNED

  • "gonna read the question and the four answers" ...not quite regis

  • wouldn't that be like the 100 $ question?

  • how is this a million dollar question??

  • @edga69 Well, there was propably a shitload of extremely hard questions and this one just happened to be what it is. The last question does not have to be the hardest.

  • he shud have done audience then 50 50

  • LMFAO! he definitely goodle'd that shit!! XD

  • haha, his boy better get a piece of that!

  • LOL at the keyboard sound through the phone!!!

  • Does anybody notice that he can't keep a straight face when he's requesting any of his lifelines? And a David Honea moment when he sees a vote for a nonexistent choice C.

  • @gregersen80015 the choice exist, but its already been isolated as a wrong answer.

  • Lol, an idiot vote for C.

  • i knew someone would vote for c or a

  • that 1 % was from canada

  • I think he milked that.

  • Choice B on Regis's question during Millionaire's 10th anniversary finale

  • *Napolean Dynamite epic yes* when he won

  • lol at the one person voting c XD

  • haha that guy totally typed the question in on the computer! he deserves like $100,000!

  • 5 people voted for "C"

  • @chrisboshJO

are you suggesting that there are 500 people in the audience?

  • there's an app for that.

  • Im Peruvian and I never knew that the Paddington Bear came from Peru. :P

  • maybe someone missed the button and pressed c, people did it also by missing the "thumbs up" button ;)

whow can some1 dislike a video like this?

i am very pleased with that guy (:

  • haha "did someone put c?"

  • bah, i would've made that million dollar question :(

  • Yeah, he won a million powered by google!

  • You could Hear him typing in the background during the call

  • hahah, hes really bothered by regis' comment that he already knows it. why would regis say that, anyways?

  • @jedf666 lol,i think he was tired of people making it that far and toying with lifelines ;D

  • I love that he phoned a friend and probably had all of his other friends there with laptops on Google.

Phone a friend can be a golden lifeline if you use it correctly.

  • i knew the answer before all those lifelines

  • i like the classic version better.

  • ahahaaahha 1% C

  • @vTefLon

If he were smart, he would tell everyone in the audience to vote for C UNLESS they were 100% certain that they knew the right answer. that way if it was 90% C and 10% Peru he'd win for sure. If you truly have no idea, guessing randomly is going to hurt more than putting a "non-answer" like C. Makes plenty of sense.

  • @vTefLon o my GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • all lifelines exhausted on this question

  • commence shut down of phone a friend.
