This lady is clearly ignorant of the facts. Matthew Shephard's killers claimed they suffered from "gay panic." They said that his advances toward them made them go into a murderous rage. The judge wouldn't allow them to use that as a defense but that doesn't negate the fact that they admitted it. It was only after they were convicted that they started recanting their story.

He also implemented interventionist foreign policy. Both Bushes fiscal policy and international aggression are being supported by the current disaster of a president we have in the office.

I performed in a production of The Laramie Project, which is a play about the whole Matthew Shepard case. I can say with supreme confidence that this lady is an ignorant cunt. Hate crime laws aren't necessarily right, but refusing to acknowledge that prejudice fuels crime is just retarded.

This woman is what is wrong with the republican party. Old politics, old world views, old people. I'm a republican and I'm ashamed of this party's lack of concern for equality for all Americans. When will our party learn that these tactics are only going to diminish our party numbers and confuse what our party is really about -- fiscal responsibility, small government and lower taxes for all Americans. Get off of the whole sexual orientation issue, the tides are changing in favor of equality!

They might TALK a good game but actions speak louder than words. Under Reagan "deficits don't matter". And Cheney quotes that all the time. Time for you to pick a new party... Maybe libertarian?

That is precisely my point -- many republicans have stepped away from what the party was initially about (as I pointed out). I disagree with your point on Reagan, he was what we call today a "California Republican" or "Reagan Republican" -- he was first more concerned with the economy and fiscal responsibility before social issues. I would love to be a libertarian, but sadly they never make it into office! If we could just fix the republican party I'd be thrilled, start by ousting this woman!

Unfortunately, its elected republican officials like this who are so out of touch with where our country is headed (i.e. a more socially liberal society) that will be the demise of the entire republican party. I'll be the first to point out that W put our republican party on a bad path -- if we could just turn the party around and focus on the "core" values (economy, taxes, small govt), we'd turn the party around and bring back some of those who have deserted the party.

Well, they'd have to stop pandering to the right wing evangelicals to get back on track. They just keep alienating more and more people. Party of the ultra-small tent of angry old white men. Much in the same way they just told Olympia Snowe to not let the door hit you on the ass... Not going to win any fans that way. I found myself among the libertarians recently even tho I don't agree with all their positions. I consider myself a civil libertarian. I'm for a smaller more efficient government.

One with less war, that takes care of its citizens. I'm not looking for a nanny state, but I don't agree with the whole free market ideology. I think businesses do need some regulation. I think the dems sometimes have too much regulation but the reps want to regulate our personal lives and let business run amok. Neither is good. The socialists are starting to look good.

You were lying when you mentioned the girlfriend without later mentioning she herself said she lied about the gay stuff because she thought they would be able to use the absurd "gay panic defense". she was then charged with misdemeanor obstruction of justice. ABC reported that this attack was a robbery, and another person was brutally attacked the same day as well. Only an interruption by another individual saved his life. The perps came up with the "gay panic" defense to spare themselves the death penalty. It failed. they later recanted all their testimony regarding killing Sheppard because he "came into them". Not a single person present corroborated Sheppard coming onto the perps. The entire story of this being a "gay murder" is gay propaganda.

That is totally untrue. The Shepard propaganda was invented to further the homosexual cause. All those who claimed he was killed because he was gay recanted later after their sentencing. they did it to avoid the death penalty because they murdered Shepard over drugs and money. Shepard was a drug addict who was stoned out of his mind that night, as were his killers.
Mathew shepard was killed over drugs. NOT because he was gay. Google is your friend. Look at the facts. Don't let the gay mafia lie
