  • I love this song!

  • Thanks, that pipe organ really pissed me off. Even if it was Morricone's original idea.

  • I love it!!! Thank you very much!

  • BRING THE HILUX !

  • the 7 people who dislike are DUMBASSES!

  • i like it but still needs an instrument to annouce the bad guy. i just don't know what that instrument would be but pipe organs are definitely out.

  • lee van cleef > clint eastwood

  • The pipes add the dread to the peice, your supposed to feel uncomfortable when you hear them thats the point, this version is good but lacks the drama the dread the horror of the original, watch the film again and hear the organ feel the drama & terror

  • I liked this "cut version" But not better than morricone's original version, without the organ makes the song uncomplete less attractive.

  • Much better now, you've did a great job!

  • @weidmannsheil007 Thanks for the comment :)

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better now!!! Didn't like the organ at all :S

  • Congrats, the original is better !

  • "La resa dei conti" is a great phrase. Translated, it means 'the showdown', but taken literally, it means 'the settling of debts', which I think is an appropriate linguistic twist.

  • One day, I'll travel to Los Albaricoques (the "real" town of Aqua Caliente), stand in the middle of the circle, and then I'll let this masterpiece play with maximum volume. After that, you can shoot me and take me to the next Marshall on your stagecoach, to get the bounty.

  • Just fyi - the final showdown at the end (LVC vs. Indio in the circle) has the trumpet in the middle, not the organ from the church scene. Morricone (or Leone) indicated the use of a trumpet signified the final battle was at hand, which indeed it was.

  • *raises a shot* here's to hoping this song makes it to the Dark Tower movies

  • As Clint Eastwood would have said: "Bravo!"

  • You did great. It's very likable. (Y)

  • @sweetsixteen666 Thank you !

  • I wonder if Ennio heard this version. LOL

maybe you can email it to him.

or snail mail a CD if he doesnt have an email account. :P

  • how can someone dislike this?????

    it's fuckin awesome

  • @godfatheroftheuk do whatever you want. It's the Internet :)

  • If I may ask, how did you remove the pipe organ?

  • @jgraho2 I opened the song in "Cool Edit Pro 2". I removed the part I didn't like, and then I joined together the 2 remaining parts of the song. It's very easy and onyl takes a couple of minutes. You just have to use headphones to be sure the transition flows smoothly.

  • Oh come on, the pipe organ makes up for the best part.

  • yea i cringe everytime i hear that pipe organ go off, thanks for this

  • YES!!! No random vampireish bit!!!

  • you are a saint, the pipe organ is good, but this sounds so much more natural. And the flow of it sounds fantastic!

  • @hoel7367 I'm glad you enjoy it. Thanks for the nice comment.

  • I Have Heard The Organ part called Demonic

Which really fits into the film scene , although it is nice to hear the piece in a different light .

  • At 0.47 seconds, "Noow we start..."

  • It's interesting to hear it without the pipes but I would prefer it untouched as Morricone would've had the pipes in there for a reason. I believe that editing another man's work is disrespectful, especially Morricone. A genius.

  • to be honest, i cant listen to this song without the organ.

  • Now to find me an old diesel Hilux...

  • oh man, yesssss! thank you thank you thank you! ive been looking for a version without the pipe. i listen to this one and still think the pipe organ is gonna sneak up on me. :P ennio morricone is the quintessential masetro.

  • @0utthe0ther I'm glad you like it ;)

  • It sounds so much more natural than the original. I was looking for the movie version without the pipe organ, only to find out that it didnt exist apart from this edit, good job.

  • @BJHBNE Thanks for the nice words ;)

  • @BJHBNE This version does exist in the movie itself - it is the backdrop for the final shootout after Clint appears holding the Colonel's pocket-watch. The pipe organ is gone and a trumpet is inserted, signifying the final moment is at hand. It's a piece of music for the ages!

  • I'm sitting on my office chair and just waiting for somebody to come in, so I can quickly turn around and "shoot" him.

  • Looks like nobody likes the pipe organ. I think, if it would have been in the movie version, everybody would love it. But watching the movie and hoping to relive that awesome duel with the soundtrack, but than hearing that pipe organ makes it kinda odd.

  • this is the music i should play when my cats have a tense starring match before the carnage :D

  • I don't know why people don't LOVE the pipe organ, that was the climax of the song where ALL emotions(fear, hatred, love etc) were called upon and the decision was either fight or flight and they chose to fight because they were compelled to do so.

  • @christian3092 i think its cos the duel at the end doesnt have the organ but runs like this rendition, seems that bit cooler :)

  • Thanks for fixing this music :)

  • Iconic.

  • Thanks for sharing. Love it.

  • Count me as another who considers you a hero for removing the pipe organ and putting this up. I downloaded it to use as my ringtone, my friends love it and want it too, but that can't have it! Well done, you magnificent bastard!

  • @HughShower Glad you like it !

  • @chtimixeur Fuckin right son. You pretty much fixed this and made it sound how it was supposed too.

  • @chtimixeur Damn, I needed an MP3 of this, could you point me in the direction of it? Cause the pipe organ kinda pisses me off.

  • @HughShower Both versions are used in the movie, inside the church, the pipe organ is intact, in the final showdown at the end, the trumpet is used to signify the final climax is at hand.

  • The organ was perfect here :/

  • I’m confused.

  • That intro...

  • Awesome.

  • one thing you should all remember is that the pipe organ was played when Indio stared that one guy down before he blew him away. it's supposed to be his "theme" in a sense, and I think it nails down his vileness perfectly

  • This is why Ennio Morricone is one of only two composers to ever get an honorary Oscar, since the award's introduction in 1928.

  • I wish a score like this played at the end of Red Dead Redemption.

  • @buttcrust it would have been perfect

  • There are two kinds of people in the world my friend the ones who really know and the ones who know nothing.

The pipe organ version of this theme is actually an ugly collage made by some ugly RCA executive for the release of the original soundtrack in 1967. The collage version is awful not only because of the pipe organ, which appears in the church scene, but also because the beautiful guitar intro was disgustingly shortened ¡ . I wish you good luck , Adios

  • I dont know why, but whenever I hear the pipe organ playing in this song, I always visualize someone creepy playing the pipe organ. Try to picture this, in a black & white scene, you see the back of a Frankenstein playing a pipe organ perched up on a platform. Somewhat like an Adams Family show

  • Google for the image 'Builds Organ of 550 Pipes in a Garage' and u'll see what I mean. cos youtube doesnt allow me to paste the url of the image here

  • Thanks for uploading this. WITHOUT the pipe organ definitely sounds better! Weird enough, I have been bugged by the bloody pipe organ. It just feels so out of place. Did they have pipe organs back in the days of those western cowboy era? WTF right? this version sounds creepier.... more intense, like shit is gonna hit the fan any time now!!!

  • @ahberjennlee I'm glad you liked this edit :)

  • @ahberjennlee

pipe organs are much older than even the US. from wiki, Large organs such as the one installed in 1361 in Halberstadt, Germany

thats really old. this version is better ill admit but the original is still pretty cool

  • @JuliusCaesar2701 thanks for the trivia. so creepy Frankensteins are from Germany. LOL

  • Thanks! that organ was hatefull!

  • I'm sorry but I like the version with pipe organ better. for me it's more powerful and scarier

  • I love this musical theme and the pipe organ always bugged me too now i am not judging morricone or anything the mans a pure genius but i do believe its better without the pipe organ

  • @jimdemertzim1 Same here. I still can't understand why they inserted the pipe organ in such a beautiful theme

  • During the shoot out at the end between the Colonel and Indio, the trumpet was substituted for the pipe organ with very effective results. The pipe organ was utilized in the church scene, but the trumpet signified the final battle was at hand, which indeed it was.

  • you sir are my hero. thank you for removing the organ piece

  • @alaniphillips I'm glad you like it ! Thanks for the nice words

  • Try to shoot me Colonel......just try.

  • Best film of the three and the best soundtrack. Didn't like Clint killing Van Cleef in TGTBTU, liked it wen they worked together and formed a rapport.

  • This is in one of my favorite Top Gear episodes. The one where they try to kill the Toyota Truck. Worked so well with the episode.

  • That's what I was searching for, this song, from that episode!

  • THNKS SO MUCH!!! VERY GOOD JOB!!!!

  • "Now we start..."

  • Bravo

  • Very Careles you old men.....Try this... now we start...

  • Thanks God! someone removed that shity pipe organ!

  • Haha :)

I'm glad you enjoyed this shorter version ;)

  • i personally think this is the best movie in the western trilogy. it didn't drag on as much as good, bad and the ugly and i think van cleef was much better as a good guy

  • You're absolutely right - to me it's the real gem of the 3. It flows smoothly, the uneasy Clint- LVC bond grows throughout the movie, culminating in the great final shootout with Indio.

  • The ultimate cowboy movie in my opinion.

  • you said it buddy

  • Music for eternity.

  • Just a Word: Terrific

    Ennio is brilliant!

  • thanks for this . i tried to delite organ myself and ended up being left with the organ and

removing the rest of the song.

  • You're welcome !

  • Masterpiece, simply masterpiece.

  • great job on removing the organ! sounds much better!

  • I'm glad you enjoy this new version ! :)

  • i prefer it without the organ. the organ just jumps in from nowhere. the trumpet fits much better, makes it more like a traditional western stand-off theme

  • that's why I created this edit :)

  • and I'm very thankful for that =D

  • Can you upload it to mediafire please? I'd very much like to download this version.

  • Accept me as a friend so that i can send you a message, and i'll help you. I'm not posting a mediafire link for everyone though, it's illegal :/

  • in the movie both instruments represent something. the organ symbolizes death in the beginning and the trumpet symbolizes redemption and justice in the final scene. i listen to this version all the time. it truly is an inspiration.

    Thanks again

  • This organ wasn't part of this take of the song to begin with, but it was spliced in because it was included in the film in a different scene. I do prefer the editing on this, but the soundtrack should've included both versions instead of shortening them, and editing down to one.

  • Absolut fantastisch und unerreicht!!!

  • watch the movie multitudinal!!! there is a version with the pipe organ and another without it, both to create a different emotion in the viewer. althought the version with the trumpet is incomplete in the soundtrack, theres a bit of amplified spanish guitar notes that are missing here and in the soundtrack and three trumpet notes.

  • you idiot! the pipe organ is the best bit! it adds the key macabre overtone, in insinuation of impending funeral, that makes this song what it is.

  • Look at other comments you fool. People like it better this way.

  • I think both ways are perfectly acceptable, although the pipe organ does seen to fly out of nowhere.

  • Yeah, I think it works better this way, too. And like richard says, it's much more like the duel at the end.

  • Hvala!!!

  • bravo

  • your a genius. I did the same thing with my music studio. The duel at the end of the movie doesn't have the organ .

  • Thanks, but I am no genius : Ennio Morricone gets all the credit :)

The organ really bugged me, so I tried to remove it, and it made me realize the song was probably intended to be this short, since it perfectly flowed.

  • I don't think it was intended to be this way, I just think there r 2 versions of the song, the one with the organ and without trumpet, to introduce us to El Indio, and the other one for the final duel... just my thoughts :)
